This book was a bibliophiles wet dream. Loni is like the rest of us avid readers who fall asleep with book in hand only to dream up the perfect man who is a sexy, intelligent, heroic godlike alpha only she gets to live it. The book is one intense ride from the second she opens the book until the final realization that there is a way that worlds can collide. The spontaneous connection they share and continue to develop as they deal with the threat as well as their emotions and physical desire for each other made this book a DNPDUTLP for me….. I really hope there is more to this world!!!

We have a young woman who is having a hard time in her life and she finds a bookstore on her regular route that she had never noticed before. She gets a book, reads it, and next thing you know, she's part of the story. Now, I don't have a problem with the premise.

But, there are a bunch of supporting characters who she knows about because they were in the book she read. However, we didn't read the b So, this was a cute novella that suffered from a lack of world building and character development.
However, we didn't read the book and lack all of that information. Also, there is little development of her character or of the hero's. Plus the changes she experiences are pretty much unexplained, leaving me with a lot of questions. It was cute with action and a couple of sex scenes. And the main characters were likable. There were interesting powers and supporting characters who seemed like they'd be interesting to learn about.
So, I would be tempted to read a sequel, but was underwhelmed with this installment.
Sep 18, Amy rated it really liked it. Well this story was much better because Loni, actually lived it. Walks into a bookstore, takes a book home and the next day begins living apart of that story along with all the characters. How can you not love that?!

One day she stumbles upon a bookstore where the owner asks her if she wants adventure and love. Who could say no to that? Reading a book with a hero that shes love to meet one minute, and in the next shes there, right between the hero and the bad guy.
Magic and powers everywhere and now shes one of the good guys. But can this last? Magic, smutty fluff and action. Dec 17, Susan Parks rated it it was ok. The heroine of this book finds a hidden old bookstore, reads a great book and then finds herself in the book, interacting with the characters. It's a great idea, and something I have always wished would happen to me. Of course, if I ever did end up in a book, I surely hope it would be a better book than this one.
It just wasn't good. Jan 17, Marjorie rated it liked it Shelves: This is one of those books that I was torn about. The plotline was great. I hated the writing. I figured out everything that was going to happen within the first ten minutes of reading. This was a light but pleasant read about two people finding soul mates in each other.
In spite of the absence of too much conflict, as characteristic of other romance books, this one still held my attention. It managed to maintain a heartwarmingly tender course. One person found this helpful. This was actually not that bad of a read. Michael is really guarded and even though with Jenny being his new secretary it isn't the first time he had actually had seen her but Jenny doesn't realize that.
While i find this to be an ok read for 4 stars its plot was simple, I personally enjoyed reading it but its a 1 time read for me.
