I think with the settlers seeking religious freedom, they wanted the freedom to carry on for future generations. I think it was brave to have the guts to seek new land and build a reputation for having free colonies.

I learned from the Fundamental Orders of and the Mayflower Compact that there actually was such a document. I knew that the first Americans had documents but not famous documents. I also learned that religion is a big part of the first Americans lives. One thing i learned from reading both the Mayflower Compact and the Fundemetal Orders of Connecticut was that the Colonials there were very big Christians.
They did everything under God and treated everyone with respect. One thing I learned about the settlers in the New England from reading the Mayflower Compact and Fundemental Orders is that they were really big Christians.
