And that 'another' baby was because she had a miscarriage or something. Man, my mind is a dark and horrible place.
You don't know me but buddy you made me laugh so much that I was really unable to control myself. No doubt Adam was deceived so successfully by Eve in the heaven! You did make my day and I just wanted to thank that beautiful mind of yours which you called as "dark and horrible place" lolz!!! Sometimes we say some words in our innocence that they are able to cause a profound impact on someone else' life without our own knowledge. Did she have any children? Because you're not a BIG fool until you get into a relationship with a woman who has given birth 5 times and each child has a different daddy and you're suckered into believing she's the abused ex-wife when the judges awarded full custody to the two dads she actually married.
I would just love to see someone see through her deception and put her in her place- in a straight jacket at a mental institute. Those children are innocent victims of her insanity. And for the record, Adam wasn't deceived by Eve, he knew what he was doing and voluntarily left with her because they were commanded to stay together. But I know what you're getting at, some women just really know how to play the innocent victim and are just full of lies.
Just don't accuse Eve of such things. Flag Djestoni on January 22, In '93 I jammed out to this, I was 6, then when I was 8, I was like, "huh?! General Comment i think this is about like a lady who is like missing something and she fills it with a guy. She wants to feel loved because she feels empty and the guy will make her feel loved for that one night of passion and than she'll leave and look for another baby to fill her soul.
My Interpretation This song is exactly what it sounds like to me. As Heliamphora once thought it meant, she literally wants another baby, and it's a strange song about a strange woman. It has a very literal meaning for me and I cannot hear this song any other way. I know a woman exactly like this. She has given birth 5 times, each baby has a different father. The first one was given up for adoption, the next two are under custody of the fathers, and the two after that don't even know who their fathers are.
It's a cycle for her, every six months she hooks up with a guy until she gets pregnant, then she kicks the guy out so she can keep the baby. Six months after the baby is born, she's starting over with another guy. It's a sad song about a woman with a serious mental illness and the men who fall victim to her wiles because they just want to help an "abused" welfare mom.
Exactly how I hear it too. And especially nasty how it's expressed by another woman — the vocals of Ace of Base, who, oddly, don't look the part ether way. Not that looks matter, but since we're calling a duck for a duck Flag veryken on March 13, I can't hear it any other way, either, because it happened to me Flag jonlevth on August 09, Great comments - from 4 years ago ha ha ha but what is time anyway other than a minor demon in the pantheon of adversaries This song is an anthem to teen pregnancy in the welfare state - OR a glimpse into the mind of an a beach combing man-hunter This version features entirely different vocals and more spoken-word sections.
Following its release in October , the song quickly climbed to number one on the Danish chart while "Wheel of Fortune" was still sitting at number two.
Keen to rush out an album for the Christmas market, Mega Records pressed the band for an album and it was hastily recorded, mixed, and released within a few weeks. In , the song was re-recorded by the band as a three-piece with new lyrics in a first-person perspective, but was never officially released. This re-recording was leaked online in June in a collaboration version of the song that features new Ace of Base vocals alongside Britney Spears 's vocals from her own demo version. Billboard wrote about the song: Dave Sholin from the Gavin Report commented on the song: Not every song that reaches 1 in the U.
Can't imagine it would take more than one listen to be convinced. The song peaked at top three positions in most other places where it was released.
It was released as the band's first single from The Sign in the United States, where it peaked at number two and was certified platinum. The song was a very successful radio hit in the United States, sustaining the number one position on the US Billboard Top 40 Mainstream [17] chart for nine consecutive weeks. In Germany, the song was the best-selling single of According to Mega Records , the single sold 3.
A music video directed by Matt Broadley was produced in November [20] to promote the single. The video had a very low budget, and was filmed in Copenhagen in one day with only two takes. The music video was meant to serve as an explanation for the song. It depicts the band members performing in a cramped apartment, interlaced with shots of a woman getting ready to go out. She goes to a bar where she meets a man. They talk and then she takes him home to her.
The video is recorded in her apartment and has a sepia tone. Though Jenny has no vocals in the song, she lip syncs the vocals during the chorus. An Italian band Age of Bass covered the song in Its close resemblance to the original Ace of Base version and the original band's name caused Mega Records alongside Polygram to prompt the rendition's record label Discomagic Italy into pulling the release from commercial markets.
The rendition would later appear in a compilation release by Edel Records. The demo leaked onto the internet in January From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
