I bought the Kindle book for entertainment, but I do strongly believe in reincarnation. I was seeking evidence marketed in the title, of a "healing of a soul". I didn't find that, or much evidence, beyond extraordinary emotional responses to triggers, such as Marilyn's Sherri's?
Of course, this could also be evidence of fakery. Some have suggested Marilyn's fling with the Kennedys' was not emotionally deep. Hey, I could be wrong. The hypnosis subject does produce some apparently genuine emotional reactions to her prompts.
However, the transcripts leave a lot to be desired. A lot of specifics are fed the hypnosis subject, and we can't distinguish them from a person who simply seriously believes herself to be Marilyn.
Critics have suggested she suffers from a delusional disorder. She also fails to remember things, and gets things wrong, and there are no questions given her that the hypnotist does not have readily available in the form of research.
So, for me, not convincing. As a student of metaphysics, there are more convincing anecdotes of reincarnation. We must remember, according to spiritual tradition, we are not to remember a past life, and to remember brings a greater gift to mankind.
I am not as critical of the hypnotist. I think this is more than likely a sincere doctor, and we just have an unclear, unconvincing outcome in trying to determine whether his patient is actually recalling a past life. I think what is most telling, perhaps, though I could be wrong, is that the subject appears to have not progressed at all personally in the decade since this was published. More prominent reincarnation researchers claim healing comes from releasing past-life traumas through hypnosis. The subject was involved with a man claiming to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ in later years since the book's publication, and is involved in delusional ideas, such as chem-trails.
This isn't absolute evidence of fraud.
But it does stretch credulity a bit, especially when hypnosis didn't reveal any verifiable detail not already published. Yes, you can believe in this stuff and really not be crazy, or insensitive to detail and convincing evidence, but this, unfortunately, is not the best book to make the case. This is an interesting read, but I'm certainly not convinced I do happen to believe in past lives and reincarnation, and have had that interest for many years, having read many astounding books on the subject.
Add to that the fact I'm also a fairly knowledgeable fan of MM's if having a collection of over 95 books which I've read, some several times, about Miss Monroe, her films and life, and a collection of MM items, some owned or worn by MM, which is pretty wide-range, qualifies. OK; so I'm an avid fan. She was a beautiful, fascinating woman and I've long been interested in her personality, thoughts and trying to figure out why she was and is so fascinating.
In this book, some of the statements made and supposably 'confirmed' in the past life regression transcripts just don't quite ring true to my inquisitive mind. Little details, but telling. There's nothing in here that a biography of Miss Monroe's cannot provide as fodder for the regressions, and the main outside source, claimed by the author as confirming that Sherrie and Marilyn are one and the same Ted Jordan is hardly one of the most highly-regarded Marilyn Monroe confidants.
This is a great study for anyone not just those with a interest in psychology. My aunt only said that she was a singer, but I had this coy, sly feeling and said to myself, 'Why do I feel like she's talking about me? In her own words, Sherrie Lea reflects on a lifetime of being Marilyn: If you don't believe in reincarnation now, you will after reading this book. Learn more about Amazon Giveaway.
I do feel that perhaps the regressionist actually believes the subject's statements and perhaps she the subject, Sherrie believes them, as well. Problem is that it's just way too easy to simulate and imitate MM's interests and, to cite one example, the oft-repeated inferance that popping pills and champagne together is a 'hit' as to accuracy of MM's reincarnation This book is an interesting read, but definitely take it with a grain of salt, as they say.
If Sherrie is 'channelling' Marilyn which is denied in the book , well, there are still some problems with the information as presented under the transcripts of the regressions. Like giving the wrong name of the character Marilyn Monroe played in Millionaire; wrong age at making of River of No Return, etc. This book reads more like a mean possession than a reincarnation. I bought it and loved it even as a conversation piece and coffee table book. The Healing of a Soul by M.

In her own words, Sherrie Lea reflects on a lifetime of being Marilyn: And, most dramatically, Sherrie Lea answers a question that has plagued Marilyn's fans for more than forty years: Was Marilyn's death truly a suicide? I asked what it was. It looked stupid to me. She began singing, 'A kiss on the hand can be quite continental, but diamonds are a girl's best friend.
