Saga continues from Volume One with Alana meeting Marko's parents her in-laws and us, the readers, getting to know more about the characters and the story.
We get some backstory on Marko and some 0f the characters, and the plot moves fast, never losing its pace between issues.
My only complaint is that I expected more animosity between Alana and Marko's parents since both of their planets are at w If you like my reviews check out my beauty and book blog, ReadsByAmanda. My only complaint is that I expected more animosity between Alana and Marko's parents since both of their planets are at war, which, besides some snide insults, they got along just fine.
I like seeing the freelancer's more caring side on saving the slave girl and I loved the introduction of Gwendolyn.
I love that she's a POC and she's pretty awesome, given her introduction and her past relationship with Marko. This comic book series is addicting and Vaughan knows how to build suspense and keep you invested without being too dramatic and turning you off with shock factor. What I love most is that amidst all the craziness, the characters are all grounded in their development and you really bond and like them as people which just makes reading this series so delightful.

The little side frames of Hazel's narrations is pretty great. I feel like people will soon have Alana's haircut. And grow horns like Marko.
Marko and Alana's long-lost babysitter Izabel finally returns to the fold, but at what cost?. Saga #10 has ratings and 58 reviews. Sandra said: Holy crap, the CAT!!! Or I think it's a www.farmersmarketmusic.com narrative of this series is the best.I love he.
The first page is genius of Marko half naked and saying, "Keep reading. Genius, I tell you. The midwives with the upside down faces are completely creepy in every way. I can't wait to know what's up with that planet hatching. May 24, Jason rated it it was amazing Shelves: I love the artwork. I love the action. The characters are developing nicely. I love the humor and the witty dialogue. The narrations by Hazel are very cool. I find myself retreading every page multiple times and I want to start over I am really surprised at the depth to the development of the characters and the world building.
I will reread them all. Apr 11, Leiera Monae rated it really liked it Shelves: I don't even know what the fuck this is! Aug 12, Vikram rated it it was amazing. This story keeps getting better and better. Gotta applaud the illustrators and the writers for weaving vivid imaginary characters. Although they may look weird af, they are brilliant tbh. Looking forward to finishing the remaining issues asap. Jul 15, Derek rated it liked it Shelves: Marko and Klara manage to rescue Izabel, but the planet they're on is a volatile one it's about to hatch a "timesuck".
Full speed ahead, but they have Gwendolyn and The Will on their rail. They manage to shake the tail, but Gwendolyn and The Will's ship gets mauled by the timesuck. Vaughan is the Eisner, Harvey, and Shuster Award-winning writer and co-creator of the critically acclaimed comics series Y: In the ten years since, he has written nearly all of the major DC and Marvel characters, everyone from Batman to the X-Men.
That is exactly what a giant space baby hatching out of a planet would look like! Even with the giant hatching baby, the freelancers zero in on the spaceship tree. Gwendolyn can feel Marko, so she jumps up to the controls and fires a missile at the ship. Thinking quickly, Alana orders the spaceship tree to fly directly at the missile.
I've always love family hugs. Just as he did in his graphic novel, Pride of Baghdad, Vaughan imbues his nonhuman characters with lives and spirits of their own and the emotional resonance is strong enough that the final page will be sure to leave more than a few fans wailing in agony. Those are some very entertaining scenes. Share your thoughts with other customers. I can't help it! View all 3 comments.
The missile floats harmlessly away…right into the giant space baby! And this is it, folks. Are you ready for this? Having a hole in your ship in the middle of space is a terrible idea, and sure enough, the vacuum starts sucking everything out. Gwendolyn grabs Slave Girl.
The Will grabs on for dear life and turns to look at the damage…then he screams…. Hazel starts narrating through all of this. She explains how break-ups are a lot like battles.
Friends, family, co-workers; there is a ripple effect of people who feel the impact of the break up. This is kind of like collateral damage in a battle. And as long as somebody wins, then who really cares about the collateral damage? There are acceptable losses. Why did it have to be Lying Cat? This is like losing a beloved pet! Not until I turned the page and it was like a thousand voices crying out at once in sorrow! This was an amazing issue of Saga.
This is why I read Brian K. The man is a master of his craft. The characters are the best part. The character work in Saga is absolutely thrilling. And that final page. Lying Cat was such a fun character, and he was hardly ever a big deal. Goodbye, you beautiful lie-detecting feline.
