Well written enthralling ,a real page turner ,didn't want to put it down,highly reccomend this book and ,author well worth the money. Awesome story can't wait to read the next book. It really kept my interest. I'm also from the area the book takes place in.

Most helpful customer reviews on Amazon. Book one, A Glimmer of Hope, was pretty good, with a fairly straightforward nuclear apocalypse scenario with a great opening and then a complex sustained narrative. This book 2 picks up where the other one left off.
It wasn't quite as intense, but a couple of the several storylines really caught me up in them. I won't give you any spoilers, but expect some surprises from King, whose books always seem to have twists I would never think of, but which work anyway. I'll give you a hint, though: The writing has gotten stronger from the first novel as well. I'll be following King and expecting good things from him over the coming years.
I have been on a kick lately reading a lot of post apocalyptic series.
I have to say so far Land of Tomorrow series is very good. The way you get to see all different characters and how there story line goes is great. I really love this series can't wait to start book 3. I really enjoyed where the author took the story in this 2nd book of the series. This book is not yet featured on Listopia.
