About Longmont

Filled with stories and activities that promote and develop language skills and imagination, these programs encourage children to develop a lifelong love of reading and learning. Pajama Storytime Storytimes held in the evening for children aged 5 and under and their parents, featuring stories, songs, fingerplays, rhymes, and crafts or other extension activities. Join us, s'il vous plait, for stories, songs and crafts in French and English. Preschool Storytime Recommended for ages 3 to 5 years, though children of all ages are welcome. For children ages 3 — 5. A happy blend of stories, fingerplays and songs that help preschool children develop print and phonologic awareness, vocabulary, letter knowledge and narrative skills. For Spanish speakers ages 3 - 6.

Storytime introduces your child to books, rhymes and rhythm, music and song, puppets, flannelboard stories, taking turns, paying attention, and being in a group . Research confirms that hearing stories read aloud is an important step on.

Join us as we breathe, bend and read together with stories, rhymes and songs that will encourage literacy and body awareness. Please bring your own towel or mat and wear comfortable clothing.
