Perhaps this is because we are all basically the same at heart. We all want to be happy in ourselves and in life. Apr 15, Tami rated it really liked it. Often we look at others and assume that these people have it all together. We may even berate ourselves because we have doubts and negative conversations in our heads. Then, we look at our friends, neighbours, authors, celebrities, and we convince ourselves that these individuals are well past such things.

Perhaps that is what interested me so much about Bare Naked at the Reality Dance. Here we have a woman who seems pretty together. Yet, like everyone else she has this negative self-talk. Moreover, she is constantly trying to work past what she sees as flaws and stay on course. Like everyone, some days she does well and others not so much. This life-affirming journey buoys the reader through sharing experiences and feelings so personal and real they speak to us all. She offers us something greater than her own rich ruminations and even than herself—not by giving answers from already enlightened heights like most spiritual books, but by inspiring readers to find their own.

I hear her voice all the time, gently guiding me to see things as they are, not how my ego might want them to be. We think of readiness for adversity, but there must be readiness for bliss as well. Bliss is what Suzanne brings to me and the people she touches. It is very easy now for me to be mindful of every experience, receptive and thankful for those around me.

As an executive coach and coaching teacher, I was moved and informed by this compelling real-life story of self-exploration and transformation.

As a woman with a story of my own, I chuckled and reveled in it right along with her.

Stewart was part of a short-lived trio called Don't Talk Dance which released a self-titled album in which also included Chris Brown who later sat in for Hearn with Barenaked Ladies during his lates cancer treatment. The band reunited in the early s and has since played occasional concerts [95]. The group stopped performing regularly in the mids and have only performed together on rare occasion, such as for the Barenaked Ladies' cruises. Hearn's albums feature a mix of alternative rock and jazz with many other eclectic influences. Hearn was also the musical director and keyboardist for Lou Reed 's band from the mids until Reed's passing in October He has also released an album of love songs as "The Cousins" in with his cousin, comedian Harland Williams.

However, Page did not record a second Vanity Project album before his departure from Barenaked Ladies, and has released his post-BNL works in his own name. Page has also hosted a season of the reality television series The Illegal Eater which features Page travelling to showcase food and drink experiences that are in some way taboo, illicit or outright illegal.

In addition, band members both individually and together have often collaborated with other artists, such as making guest appearances on their albums, performing live, or co-writing songs with them.
