So much more to say but will leave it there. Is this not just proving that to be true? Or at least that a 'decent' income is important when looking for a potential husband? It's merely practicality to expect to be able to be supported by someone upon whom you will be completely financially dependent for a time at least so that you can bear and raise children together successfully. Having been raised in a family where a father was not available due to death , to ignore this practical aspect of having children seems foolish to me.

The stress that placed on my mother was enormous and if I could avoid it by choosing a partner that can support me for that time allows the opportunity to focus on the child's development instead of worrying about how you're going to feed them. Man should be a provider, if not, then he should get pregnant and deliver him self the babies and we can then work and earn the money Of course women want a husband who has a decent income!

Decent income does not equal billionaire. But who wants to live with financial stress? If you're thinking marriage, you're likely thinking children, and that, for women, usually means being out of work for a time. It's practical and desirable to have a partner who is able to support the family. Plus, I'm sure you would find that most of these women who want husbands with decent incomes have decent incomes themselves and don't want to be the sole income earner in the family!

I just don't see how this is surprising or wrong. The brides education and income is also generally considered so by your logic that proves that men are gold diggers as well? I suppose we should just call this capitalism?
