The lightning does not only hit in front of him. The giant fireball that the flying thing shoots is terribly irritating and may be the soul reason this boss is awful instead of alright. The real danger of this fight: Getting randomly hit by a big ball from the dragons on the sides. Makes the fight extremely RNG and you just don't have time to check both sides all the time. Chaos bed vestiges with pyromancy fully maxed out with rings and dusk's crown does an absurd amount of damage.
At that point you should have a lot of points in both Strength and Dexterity so I highly advise you get the greatswords the Abyss Watcher souls gave you; trust me, you'll need that extra damage. This man oofs me oretty hard ar NG11, hits me for over half my health every hit. Rip my ho cuz there's no player summons at tthis level.
The boss fog for this boss is bugged to hell and back. Save yourself the "brilliant work From" ranting and just fight him solo from the start. As much as I really loved everything about this boss, I only wish they hadn't turned him into a regular enemy in the Ringed City and would've made a brand new one instead; the moment I recognized him from afar in the swamp area I couldn't help feeling kind of disappointed.
This is one of the reasons why Demon's Souls is the only Souls game I have very few things to complain about. As I recall it, every single boss was restricted to a specific area, had their own theme music, and more importantly, never showed up anywhere as mobs, whereas the opposite of all this has become a recurrent problem in subsequent games, with DS1 being the worst, featuring three Asylum Demon appearances with almost zero differences between each other, mob versions of the Pinwheel and Moonlight Butterfly, and finally the Capra and Taurus demons blatantly reused in the same uninspired fashion.
This latter tendency is in my opinion far worse than recycling bosses, as it makes me think the developers at some point either turned lazy or lacked enough creativity to design entirely new enemies, settling instead for underpowered versions of previous bosses, and killing their uniqueness altogether. I suppose I should be thankful this didn't go worse in DS3, but I guess they couldn't help it and finally had to give in to this awful tradition.
Need some hollow gems, greater or normal champion souls and the dual Katanas. Anyone able to help me out? Eygon is an actual hoss for this fight. Your best straight sword or your best fast weapon. And dont worry about getting above 70 weight ratio, you wont be dodging much. Everyone says this boss is like Ornstein, but I think it's really a hidden reference to Artorias. Think about it- an abyss-possessed foe that wields his weapon in his left hand! Guest Sign in Help. It was even adapted into a book by Wayland Drew in a rare instance when a movie preceded a book. Two things I like mainly.
I rather hope that Dragonslayer is never remade, for there's no way the digital animation done these days could do this magnificent creature justice. New isn't always better. It's also nice to see a film which doesn't stereotype Pagans and magicians as evil. In fact, the film treads the whole good-evil line rather lightly; Ulrich displays a certain respect for Vermithrax, even while planning the dragon's demise.
