This book is not yet featured on Listopia. This was a cute and unique story. The only things I would change was another round of editing, cut out the way too many POV's, and replace Mated and Beloved with some other words to change the redundancy up. That being said, I still liked the story itself. Found this for free on amazon Loved this book Put a new spin on all the typical werewolf and vamp books I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend reading it. NOT because it wasn't an excellent piece of literature, but because I felt like the conclusion of the first novel left me feeling like the story was complete. It wrapped up so nicely at the end, I was satisfied with the ending. I would like to continue the series, simply because I think Kalalea George is a great author! I didn't realize this is more of a YA book, which I normally don't read.

However, the concept intrigued me so I thought to give it a try. It is basically the story of a girl of mixed race, who is not accepted by either. I am of mixed race also so I could relate to the prejudice she was experiencing and how it affects others that come into your life. The idea behind the story was good but it was not executed very well. Throughout the book, it switches back and forth between the characters point of I didn't realize this is more of a YA book, which I normally don't read. Conversations and events get repeated and the story didn't flow. There were also numerous inconsistencies. Once a mate dies, the remaining mate dies also. Yet, there are events in the book where this should have occurred and didn't. Also, according to the book, the alpha wolf can command any wolf in his pack and they lose free will and must obey. If this is the case, Logan is Lucas' father and the alpha of the pack.

Therefore, it would stand to reason that as alpha he could just command Lucas to stay away from Kalli. This may appeal to the young adult but for the mature reader it is just an okay read. You follow the main characters journey as well as secondary characters that still play a role in the book. The ending is bitter sweet as it made me sad and then happy. You have to read it to understand!! Overall, I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to any fans of paranormal book Kalli is a hybrid mix of a werewolf and vampire, who comes across her mate Lucas as well as her beloved vampire Nikoli. There were only 2 things I disliked about this book. The first was the shifting POV's in the book, the shift from one POV to another was not always smooth and sometimes felt disjointed and my second issue was the book needed better editing. The grammar errors were distracting in areas of the book and threw off the overall vibe on the book. I would be willing to check out other books by this author in the future.

Instead, the heroine outlives her bonded mate. Granted, they had a very long life together, but together they outlived three of their children.

Four of their hybrid kids outlive their siblings and their father. It was just too sad for me to think about all of the loss. Now, I know for the sake of the story people had to die Nik somehow is able to give Lucas immortality along with the 3 pups Romance with hybrids and werewolves and Vampires. It was very interesting at the beginning but I tended to take breaks when I started to become cross eyed from the dry dialogue of the MCs. I really didn't care to hear that Lucas's half brother found his mate Lily. Ktexuhz is the last known Lyran alive. He grew up in secret, alone from the world except for his host family, Hidden from the Andromedains and the rest of the Galactic Alliance.
