Michaels kept me on the edge of my seat with his first book and this one is no different.
I would recommend this for any zombie fan, horror fan, or just anyone who enjoys a good read. I can't wait to see what he's going to write next!!! Where in the world did this author come from???
These stories are simply incredible. The characters are written in such a way that they are completely believable, so much so that the reader can relate to them quite effortlessly. The dialogue, both internal and between characters, the descriptions of the Norton Hill area, and the verbal imagery; ALL seem so well deliberated and written. Yes, I reviewed the last book by this author and I'm pleased to see that the review was considered a constructive critique; this is evident with this second installment.
I'm glad my review of "Tales from the Zombie Apocalypse: Greenville" didn't dishearten this author.
Certainly looking forward to seeing more. This second installment of the Zombie Apocalypse was amazing. I couldn't peel myself away from it. The author has a way of expressing ideas and giving the characters life unlike anything I've read before. They come across so vivid, so realistic, and that's the interesting thing about it. The author makes it so easy to visualize the characters, scenes, and events as they unfold.
I found this chilling, especially because I'm a mother, and can relate to Sally. I like the peek into a specific place through different characters, rather than a look at a character in many places. Very interesting to read about the victims, to learn about their lives and how they fell prey of the zombie apocalypse, and here's the "But" This book actually keeps you wanting more. Great read, the author kept me so engrossed in the story he left me wanting more.
While this book was entertaining to read, I felt like overall, it was not very realistic for a zombie book. This book was a series of short stories that occurred in or around the city of Greenville.
The timeline and order of events that occurs during these short stories just doesn't make sense. It would have been more enjoyable if, while reading, I wouldn't have been thinking in my head. The simplest of prose.
Geez, must I really write twenty whole words to leave an opinion? You won't be put off by many errors, but you will likely be put off by the dialect of one of the protagonists. See all 15 reviews.
