Feb 24, Shurrn rated it really liked it Shelves: Trapped with a gorgeous billionaire? An eager smile stretches across his lips. I think I have a tendency to go a little wild with downloading freebies If I like the blurb and it costs me zero dollars, it's going to wind up on my Kindle shelf. That's just how it is Unfortunately my "To-Read" list is longer than the average Romance hero's Well, you ge Trapped with a gorgeous billionaire? Well, you get the idea ;- So this title was gathering a thick layer of virtual dust on my bookshelf as it sat in neglect She was an absolute delight and I resolved to brush the dust off this book as soon as possible I'm so glad I did I'm supposed to hate this man.

I do hate this man. He's poised to destroy everything I love. So how is it that, time and again, he can say a simple word, or touch me just so, and make me forget everything but the way the blood is rushing through my veins? Lily Frazer is the assistant director of the Frazer Center, a non-profit which brings art to the community. Her father risked everything to found the Center when she was a little girl, and now the future of the Frazer Center is at risk because a wealthy donor pulled his funding.

Lily will stop at nothing to secure the future of her father's legacy Even track down the rich bastard who backed out on his pledge and give him a piece of her mind He's still an ass, and a shitty personality can make even the finest man on earth seem ugly. Calder Cunningham is a man with secrets. He's been hiding out on his family's massive estate since his father died a few months ago. When a crazy woman jumps the gates of his home and demands to speak with him, it's all fun and games until a storm washes out the road and traps them together inside his sprawling mansion Then the games really get interesting How far will Lily go to save the Center?

How much can Calder push with this wicked games? How long before fighting turns to fucking? Would I continue the series? Some of My Favorite moments: The Frazer Center is my life, and now it's going to close— unless I convince Calder Cunningham to reverse his decision to retract the promise his father made. Frazer, whether you like it or not, you'll be staying here with me tonight. This is wrong, so very wrong, but I can't help myself. I can't remember the last time I was this aroused by anything. The wickedness of it all just makes my body respond all the more.

Oh yes , I think. This isn't a high point of my life, that's for sure. No purse, no keys, no phone, no clothes. I shake with the force of that violent wave, lost to everything but the pleasure coursing between us, wild as the storm outside.

Okay, I have to be honest, this book kind of weirded me out, reason being is that it appealed to both my childhood and adult senses.

Calder's house was kind of like this To which Lily's reaction was a bit like this But then, throw in a bit of dungeon sex, which leaves us with Exhibit B: So what I'm trying to say is, imagine being a young determined female thrown in a fascinating old mansion with many hidden passageways, playing hide and seek, with a sweet, sweet billionaire out to Okay, I have to be honest, this book kind of weirded me out, reason being is that it appealed to both my childhood and adult senses. So what I'm trying to say is, imagine being a young determined female thrown in a fascinating old mansion with many hidden passageways, playing hide and seek, with a sweet, sweet billionaire out to find you She basically harasses a man, for months, who has recently lost his father, because he decided not to provide funds to their art centre!

But, I can only assume, she thinks she has some right to that money, money that she is very sneery about his family having. She decides to go to his house, flash the cameras then trespass. At that point I was out. A modern day, twisted, steamy fairytale. I'm just saying that I don't see why you can't have it both ways. Or, come to think of it, why I can't have you a few dozen ways in the meantime. Following his father's passing, Calder retracts the Cunningham's generous donation and the Centre's future is looking bleak. Lily visits Calder's mansion to try and persuade him to stick to the original agreement, made by his father, and finds herself stranded, due to a terrible storm.

I wasn't a big fan of Lily. She was weak willed, indecisive and loose moraled. I'm no prude, but Lily begins with conviction and courage And then suddenly, it kind of takes a back seat when she gets her knickers in a twist over hot, sexy Calder! She should have been crying, and distraught, and despairing What happened to her morals?

What happened to the importance of her and her father's life's work? Basically, what the actual fuck?! So, yeh, that pissed me off. Secondly, for the first half of the book, I really wasn't feeling the connection between Calder and Lily. It just wasn't stirring anything within me and I was kind of indifferent about the whole thing.

So, the second half of the book saved it, for me. Things got really steamy and pretty damn juicy. The pace picked up a bit, the games cranked up a level and I enjoyed it much, much more. I want to fuck you until you can't move, until you can't tink, until you've forgotten everything else but me.

It won't be gentle. I wasn't sure about him at first. He's got the whole brooding, moody, closed-off, mysterious billionaire thing down pat and I didn't feel him opening up at all. But as his mask starts to slip, I liked what I saw. I'm hoping that we get to know Calder a lot better in the second book. By my estimation, he's the perfect specimen of a man - why no one's tried to carve a copy of this one out of marble yet, I can't guess.

I love the whole cat and mouse thing. I loved that they were both playing strategic games, yet, really, both wanted the same outcome. And I loved the magic of the big old mansion, the secret passages, the dungeon, the hedge maze I probably will read the second book, at some point, because I want to find out what happens for Calder now.

Lily Frazer would do anything to save the Frazer Center for the Arts--even take on the infamous billionaire Calder Cunningham. Once he explained why he wrote it the letter to Lily, I kind of understood, but it still rubbed me the wrong way. Not to worry though as the money has been passed down to his son Calder, and there has been a contract signed to carry on the payments When Lily breaks onto the Cunningham estate, she only wants to find and reason with Calder.

His situation was left pretty open ended although not a cliffhanger , so that should be an interesting read. And it will be quite nice to witness Lily and Calder outside of the Cunningham estate. So yeh, this is hot, mysterious, original, but a little frustrating in places.

If you like a sexy billionaire and fancy a bit of an adult fairytale, give it a go. Plus, it's super cheap right now. Billionaire hero Mystery Adult fairytale Warning. Graphic sexual content Writing: To read more reviews go to my Book Blog: I liked the heroine at the start but gradually started to hate her. She was such a contradiction. On one hand she hated the hero soooo much for his hand in the pending demise of her family's Art Center. But then she'd turn right around a say how hot he was. How she wanted him. The plot is pretty simple I didn't really have a problem with Calder.

He wasn't amazing, but he was good. Lily on the other hand was a pill to say the least. Throughout the entire book she was so contradictory. He makes me sick This book had a good plot, but was too predictable.

I saw almost everything coming. Even Calder's big secret was not hidden well enough. At least not for me. The best thing about this one was the sex. But great sex does not a good book make. View all 16 comments. Lilly is freaking out cuz they are about lose the center. I enjoyed the feisty nature of the Lilly as well as the wickedness of the Calder.

I look forward to reading more in this series. This book was gift from the author in exchange for an honest review. It was erotic without being too much; it was sweet without being cheesy, and well written. I want the second book in the series NOW!! It does not leave off on a cliff hanger but you will be invested into the characters and want to continue their story. His Wicked Games is about 25 year-old Lilly who works with her father at an art center that works with children in the community.

The center thrives upon donations from the community to help pay the bills and offer art classes for children. Their biggest donor is The Cunningham family, one of the richest and oldest families in the United States. The Cunningham father has passed away and now the playboy son Calder is in charge of the estate. Calder is known for his love affairs with models and appearing on the cover of tabloid magazines. Calder has terminated his contract with the art center and will no longer donate to the center which is now months away from closing their doors for good.

Lilly decides to show up at the Cunningham estate to demand to speak to Calder to make him change his mind on his decision to stop donating to the center. Once Lilly arrives and is able to speak to Calder, things change. Calder agrees to still donate to the art center if Lilly agrees to play his games and wins… but not everything is a game. It has an original story and great ending that changes things for Lilly and what she finds out about Calder. I liked that the story was simple without being over the top and creating too much unnecessary drama just for the sake of having drama.

It was a simple story that was perfect. His Wicked Games is a fun read. I would love to spend three days in a huge beautiful mansion with an amazingly gorgeous, hot, sexy, and young billionaire. I give His Wicked Games 4 Stars. ARC was provided by the author in return for an honest review. Sep 06, Irida rated it it was amazing Shelves: This book was simply amazing!! Lily's persistence and her heroine complex are funny and sexy as hell, she's a feisty challenging woman and Calder will fall totally in love with her personality! What I can tell you is the feel Talk about starting out with a bang and not stopping until the last page!

What I can tell you is the feelings I experienced—I literally felt like I was Lily as I experienced every emotion she went through. His eyes bore into mine. Maybe this is just sex. And that terrifies me. That ex sure screwed you up something good. The story had a well-developed arc, a perfectly described setting, and characters that not only had depth and substance but that I wanted to be a part of. This book will be released on June 11th and it looks like a novella will be published soon after. Oh boy, I tried but I am just not in the mood for reading stilted dialogue and silly plotting.

Not even for an erotica fluff piece which promises some hot sex scenes. This book would be great if you just want to read some sexy banter and some naughty sex scenes, and if you don't expect much depth or a believable story. I could have enjoyed that but sadly the dialogue was filled with a lot of double-speak innuendos that felt a bit cheesy, and the so-called attraction felt more forced and cold than genuine and warm. The plotting was not working for me either. The tours, dinners, games It might have picked up, but for now I need something more solid to read.

I am just not in the mood for this kind of fluff. May 23, Candace rated it liked it Shelves: I mostly listened to the Audible version of this book, and I have to say that I liked it. The narration was good and the back and forth banter between Calder and Lily kept things light-hearted and funny. Lily was feisty, which I loved. Right from the start I was thinking, "This lady is ballsy! From their first meeting, sparks were flying.

Talk about sexual frustration, I was so glad when they final I mostly listened to the Audible version of this book, and I have to say that I liked it. Talk about sexual frustration, I was so glad when they finally caved to their baser urges! Even after, Lily maintains the tension by pursuing the financial pledge that Calder's father had made to Lily's art charity organization. What ensues is a string of bets and sexual games. This book features the most provocative game of hide and go seek ever known. Overall, I give this one 3 stars. It was good but not a "can't stop thinking about it", consuming, type of 5-star book.

It was fun and kept a smile on my face. I'll probably continue the series at some point. It's so freaking HAWT there's the voyeurism scene and the hide and seek scene and the let-me-tell-you-about-this-painting scene. Oh, and the hedge maze scene! How could I forget that?! I love that the MC Lily is strong and vulnerable at the same time. This isn't the pushover girl with the warped guy - they're both tapping into their wild sides here and feeding off each other and she enjoys giving into This book is AMAZING!!!

This isn't the pushover girl with the warped guy - they're both tapping into their wild sides here and feeding off each other and she enjoys giving into his control - it's not some creepy guy that likes to break women story. Calder absolutely smolders as the LI, and I love all his games and dark secrets.

But the absolute best part for a Disney fan like me anyway is the Beauty and the Beast stuff! Even though it's not a straight retelling, there are so many parallels and I had so much fun looking for them and being like "Oh! The splash fight is like when she throws snowballs at him! I did not know what to think about this book when I started reading it, but it pulled me in at page one. I love how it started. Yes, he is a handsome billionaire who lives in a mansion. I loved that in Lilly. It was so funny and I love what happened after. Did I feel connected to the characters? I liked I did not know what to think about this book when I started reading it, but it pulled me in at page one. I liked Lily even though she was a little pushy, but I think it suited her character in this story. The story flowed very nicely. It was steamy and I loved the games that were played between the characters. It built the sexual tension between the two characters. I love the whole concept that they were stuck in the mansion for an entire weekend while there were heavy storms outside.

There is something sexy and romantic about that whole scenario.
