The only thing is when you are picking it up to pour, make sure to position your hand out of the way of the steam that comes from the holes around the handle attach point. Also, make sure it is securely fastened together, the top and bottom, as if not they will leak and can make a mess on the stove top. Other than that, excellent espresso every time. We are just thrilled with this espresso maker. We were tired of store-grinding our beans in a shoppe where the previous grinder had used a flavored coffee.
So we buy whole beans and hand-grind them to just the right fineness, put them into this Moka pot just like my Grandma used as far back as I can remember We've had no trouble opening it to clean as some others have mentioned. Good size, the handle is widely placed which is something I was looking for, but coffee leaks from the middle when it is poured. It made quite a mess the first time. I checked to be sure everything was tightly screwed together, but it continued. I've used it three more times and the problem persists.

After 10 or 12 uses the seal allowed a lot of water to run down the base creating a mess. I don't know if it was a problem with the manufacturing or user error, but when I tried to tighten it more not only did it not stop the problem, it became difficult to disassemble.
That said the espresso it created was always good and the product worked as advertised. Do NOT follow the instructions provided. Watch italian videos on Youtube instead. Don't boil the water, and take your time. Will taste a lot better. Prepare for icky deposit that doesn't entirely wash. Makes decent coffee, but it leaks out the sides while pouring. I've tried a few things to remedy this, but to no avail. I just have to pour my coffee over the sink! The coffee made from this can comfortably be a drink for 2 for 2 days, or for 1 for a few days, saved in the refrigerator.
Spare seal in box with excellent, sturdy construction. Honestly it's a pain in the butt having to clean everything and figure out how to get rid of all the coffee grounds without sending it down the drain but from a performance standpoint, it's easy to get the hang of this espresso maker and it does the job well. If you like espresso, this will do the job just like the other machines just more labor and time involved.
