Members of the local Woodmen of the World chapter are traveling to Louisiana this weekend to take three truckloads of food and home supplies to the victims of the recent flooding in Louisiana. The members will also be staying in Louisiana for five days volunteering and distributing supplies to the victims. The course was compromised with business and government leaders and was designed to educate them in the workings of economic development. The participants in the course spent the last several months traveling to Atlanta to meet with State Economic Development partners, visiting with industries in the community, participated in leadership workshops, and attend seminars with multiple guest speakers.

It is they who continually and enthusiastically support our children and community and it is imperative that we, in turn, support them because as we have witnessed, it truly takes a village. Everyone on campus, knew and respected him, from the future valedictorian, to the gang member with the tattoo of a teardrop on his face.
We had all seen him perform heroic feats, like climbing onto the roof of the building to get down a frisbee, without a ladder. His classroom was like a scientific lab of gadgets, tools and information. He inspired us to travel the world, make and keep life-long friends and revel in the wonderful way life works. When we were going through the toughest stage of life, trying to decide whether to be jocks, band nerds, geeks or freaks, Mr.
He showed us you could be any or all of those things — and still be successful. The most important thing he taught us was to love life and live it to the fullest.
About veterans, families and friends were in attendance. All branches of our military received words of gratitude and acknowledgement from well-wishers.
