Each character is given enough time to let you get to know them as they were a friend. The issues brough Michelle continues her struggle back to God and finding him relevant to her life. The issues brought up in the book were current and makes you think about the consequences for today but was brought in an enjoyable story that is hard to put down. I was given a copy of this book for my honest review. Apr 03, Jill D Coffin rated it really liked it.
Another thoughtful and very readable story I enjoyed this story because it was well-written and because it embodies the values for which I stand as a Christian. I say this upfront because it is above all, faith based in its orientation. So, if you are a Christian or are considering Christianity this author can give you a window into the lifestyle. She also lays out some of the problems and conflicts that Christian people face in our culture.
I wish more people were writing books such as this Another thoughtful and very readable story I enjoyed this story because it was well-written and because it embodies the values for which I stand as a Christian. First and second book take you on an emotional journey The characters, Michelle and Steve, journey through some difficult situations without realizing how much the love of God could-and eventually does mean to their life. Michelle's journey into New Age philosophy is a cause for concern. The author has bravely shared parts of her life that I'm sure we're difficult for her. To see God the love of God and His mirAculous ways is wonderful.

This is Book Two in this series I read the first book quite awhile back After a respite from this story, I picked up this book I did not agree with a lot of the book as far as the religious aspects, but I found myself caught up in the story of family and strength and their faith.
Some more so than others. There was a lot of grief. Much like real life, these people had much to This is Book Two in this series I read the first book quite awhile back Much like real life, these people had much to face and to overcome. I'm glad I read this one, too.
The author presented readers with intense drama as Michelle and Steve dealt with infertility, temptation, trust, and challenges to their faith. We also saw the aftermath of John's suicide attempt and tedious recovery. I liked the wisdom portrayed in Joan and Phil as this multi-generational family coped with so many issues. This novel was very deep, and I highly recommend it for those who appreciate quality Christian fiction.
Aug 25, Cayla rated it liked it. I think Book 2 was slightly better than Book 1, but I still strongly prefer the third book in the series. In this second book, we are reintroduced to the characters of the first book. The topics covered in this book: It sounds like a lot to take in, I know, but it was a fairly good read. The second installment of the "Sandy Cove" series stole my heart!!
So many compelling topics I could relate to. The characters maturing in the story line and evolving. The reader feels as a "member of the family". I love where the Michelle is at the end of this book. I admire the strength and grace that have now become such customary traits of her personality. I have already started reading "Into Magnolia" Sep 19, Jeanette Hurrelbrink rated it liked it.

This book had such a sweet message to those who are trying to have children and how to see the Lord though that season. I felt like a lot of the book moved in faster than I was ready for. I guess I was seeking more of the "drama" side with Trevor. Wishing something legally would have happened there, since Steve is a lawyer. But it was a great read! I love this series. I enjoyed seeing the main character grow in her Christian faith. She inspired me as she resisted temptations and drew on the strength of prayer and wise council when facing life difficulties.
The characters were engaging and believable throughout the book. It was very hard to put down because I wanted to see what would happen next.
I loved the way this book clearly showed how to lean on and trust God through every day situations. It was quite easy for me to identify with the characters and their struggles. I read the book quickly, as I was anxious to see how the characters responded to the challenges. Jun 28, Deanna rated it did not like it. I got this book for free not realizing it was the second book in a series. So I hunted down the first book. I have a tendancy to force myself to finish reading books having given up on less than a dozen in my entire life. This one however I could not force myself through.
Jul 11, Elizabeth Sintes rated it really liked it. Through the Tears Yes, this was one unsettling and emotionally story. I think the Arthur was encouraging pro life and other ways for young women to be able to get pregnant. It was a beautiful love story told during the time of the heroine trying to get pregnant. Jun 02, Terrie Butler rated it liked it. I enjoyed books 1 and 4. In this book Michelle was too self-centered.
Having such little regard for her husband and others became tiresome. Even the longed for baby was not the centerpiece of her attention, it was always about Michelle.
