As a single mother for so many years and wanting to spend all of my custodial time with my children, I bought and remodeled several homes, I became a realtor and a notary, I owned my own small business with three years, went to UCLA to become a substance abuse counselor, and ultimately found myself writing at every chance I could get - whether it be journaling or anecdotal stories. I spend a lot of my time caring for my best friend these days who is suffering from 4th stage brest cancer -- I devote my time to being there for her and her family.
