Sex, Slaves and Silhouettes (BDSM Erotica Book 24)

Captive in the Dark

He brought the knife down again, this time toward the back of the neck to separate the spinal cord. Tiny's accomplice screamed and screamed and screamed, making Caleb drunk with power and pure male satisfaction. Did it mean he loved me? His beautiful golden hair was tinged reddish brown, there was blood caked in his hairline. I made them pay. Delicious, beautiful words, something I'd never hear from anyone but a man like Caleb. Who was this man that could do this to me, to anyone, and live with himself? And what type of person was I, to see some light in him that was somehow redeemable?

Surrender, he had once said. He had wanted me to surrender. Not just my body. I would try for him. Not for the sadistic, confusing man sitting next to me, not for Caleb. I would try for the handsome stranger underneath. I understood the fine line between what Caleb was doing with me, and what he could have done so easily to me. He was always in control of himself uh-huh…I see, when he beat the shit out of you he was totally in control. Had always explained why he was doing one thing or another. He kissed and caressed me, brought me ecstasy.

As handsome as you? That felt good, inflicting pain in him. All I know is that Caleb forced her to address him as Master. She had to crawl on the floor and he fed her. That's all I remember of course there was the severe beating with the belt to break her mentally but I know that's certainly not an "appropriate" training. Sheesh, I feel bad for writing "appropriate". Maybe the "training" happened off page? Anyway, I found the plot poor, the character development nonexistent and overall…I guess I have to stop now.

I know this is fiction but if the story loses touch with reality then let's just call it a fantasy novel because in real life the sicko would have been prosecuted. And last but not least I think books like CitD are a symptom of our times. It's a very dark, rich story, and the character development is outstanding. I was enthralled by the characters and the story in a way I haven't been in a long while and I devoured it in three h Absolutely captivating.

I was enthralled by the characters and the story in a way I haven't been in a long while and I devoured it in three hours. I cannot WAIT for part two to be released. Just a disclaimer for some: If you don't think you can or want to handle that, don't read it. View all 12 comments. This book, if nothing else, makes you honestly and completely 'FEEL'-- horror, disgust, pity, anger, lust, shame, hatred, love--whichever emotion it ignites in you, I promise, you'll feel it to the millionth degree! There is nothing romantic about this story; at least not in the traditional sense, anyway.

It's gritty and crude and created not to please, but to ignite raw, uninhibited emotions that will leave you feeling exhausted But the fact is, no other bo 4. But the fact is, no other book has ever evoked such an array of gut-wrenching emotions or left me feeling almost violated just for having read it quite like this one has. He was my tormentor and my solace; the creator of the dark and the light within. Caleb is not about love. He's about power and is living his life for a revenge that he will go to any extent to obtain. The sweet, broken, and innocent Livvie unluckily becomes his tool for this intricate, sinister plan of revenge.

He captures her and sets forth towards his goal of turning her into a pleasure slave. It all seems simple and by the book; break her down and build her back up into the perfect submissive that no captor will be able to resist. But Caleb didn't plan on feeling things for Livvie he never thought he was capable of feeling. Don't let me confuse you. Caleb does NOT go from frog to prince and live happily ever after. Not by a long shot. He is an abusive, callous monster. His behavior towards Livvie was vomit-inducing and I spent the majority of the book detesting him. But then there were conflicting, tender moments where he displayed a true conscience.

Moments where I was able to sympathize with his torturous childhood, and somehow understand him. Granted, these moments were fleeting and quickly swallowed up by more insanity, but they were there. Which consequently left me all the more frustrated and confused. I felt much more at ease with the story.

Livvie was a lovable character whose ferocious strength surprised me. Her backstory was heartbreaking and she was very broken because of it. Caleb's childhood was even more heartbreaking and to say that he was damaged from it would be a severe understatement. I know that some readers ended up adoring Caleb, but it just hasn't happened yet for me. However, I saw the story for what it was and did not need to fall in love with Caleb to appreciate it.

This book was gripping and flawlessly written. It immediately ripped me out of my comfort zone, made me feel awkwardly amazed, and caused me to question my beliefs and morals. It made me search for kindness in places I'd least expect to find it. It has opened my eyes to a horrible world that I fortunately know little about and I fully believe that this was the story's true intent. Cold, detached, disturbed hero. Abused, secluded, withdrawn heroine. Focused intensely on sex slavery and psychological manipulation. Will bulldoze your emotions. Oct 13, Debra rated it it was amazing Shelves: It's dark, twisted and disturbing on so many levels but still I could NOT stop reading it!!!

At times I really hated reading some of the things that happened, but the story was so addictive and intense that I couldn't help but love, love, love it!!! It was a common mistake. People often believed they were safer in the light, thinking monsters only came out at night. As a little boy, Caleb was forced into the world of pleasure slaves by the corrupt Russian business man Demitri Balk.

The young boy has to suffer through a lot of horrible experiences because of this man and that is why Caleb decides to take revenge on the person who ruined his life. To succeed in his plan of revenge he wants to use Olivia, train her as a pleasure slave and sell her to Demitri to get as close as possible to his biggest enemy. You should try to accept that, because there's no possible way to avoid it.

Like it or not, fight it or don't, your old life is over. This is just too messed up for words And how shocking as it may seem, I did enjoy reading it in the end. The story kept me on the edge of my seet the entire time. It managed to grasp my attention from the very first page till the very last one It also helped that the book was written in a dual POV Livvie's side in first person; Caleb's in third person , so we get a good idea of what was going in both Caleb and Livvie's head and how their feelings were constantly developing throughout the story.

To me, that made it a lot easier to relate to Caleb; it showed that he wasn't just a monster after all. His past is what made him the man he's become today, but it's his present that keeps defining what kind of a person he is behind the dark facade She was a survivor, who tried to stand up for herself as much as possible. And after a while she started to develop feelings towards her captor, but given the circumstances I think her feelings were perfectly understandable Caleb was a master manipulator.

He made me cry and scream and shake with fear, and nearly a split second later he could make me almost believe he wasn't responsible for any of it. Did he really die while trying to protect Livvie from Rafiq?? I'm giving this one 4. Feb 14, Dd rated it really liked it. He was the monster that no one thought to look for in the light of day She was the instrument of his revenge, His way of reaching his mark.

His Kitten, His captive in the dark. Like a falcon, she needed the dark to understand who her master was. He had to face things which will make hardened men shudder. But he was a survivor. Somehow he survived till he was rescued. And He was the monster that no one thought to look for in the light of day And after that,he dedicated his life to vengeance. Now,to be completely fair I was not expecting a Prince Charming. And neither did I get one.

They had long been beaten and raped out of him. But that does not mean that I condone what he did. Blind in his lust for vengeance,he was doing exactly what was done to him years ago There was only one obstacle remaining between him and vengeance. The last true test of his soullessness-- willfully stripping someone of their freedom.

But,what I liked was that somehow,by passing the last test of soullessness,he got something resembling his soul back. Livvie -- There were many reasons for her being chosen. So she became Kitten. But this Kitten had claws. But we are strange creatures. Bereft of warmth and kindness,we seek it from any source we can. And she soaked it up when Caleb showered her with kindness. Most of the story was written from her point of view. And the turmoil inside her was quite apparent. He was cruel and ruthless And she feared him the most when he showed that there was some spark of humanity left inside the monster.

I abruptly feared his kindness more than his cruelty. As we all know, this book is highly controversial. Most of my friends were enthralled by this book and a few were disgusted. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I appreciate the great execution and unique concept of this story. Though I am feeling a bit peeved that it failed to evoke in me the strong feelings it did in others. Warning- Minor spoilers ahead!!! Will I call him a monster? I do not know.

Were the things he did justified because of his past? Is he evil though? I do not think so. Any evil person would have enjoyed the plight of Livvie. Would have enjoyed hurting Livvie. Did he enjoy hurting her? She awakens in him a bit of humanity. She becomes to him more than an instrument. Still,he is willing to let her face a fate worse than death. Does that make it better or worse? Again,I do not know. And I won't know till I read the next part of the duet. Because I have to see what he decides. I have to see what he chooses. That's all for now,Readers. View all 96 comments.

Nov 03, Sammy Loves Books rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: Whatever your little school-girl brain told you about men is absurdly wrong. I went to collect my property. This was a Very Wicked Tasty Treat!! Sexy, Dark, and Erotic!! The feeling was…alien, unpleasant, and aggravating as hell. Unfortunately, Caleb is the bad g Whatever your little school-girl brain told you about men is absurdly wrong. Unfortunately, Caleb is the bad guy in this love story.

He's on a mission of revenge and an innocent love slave is to be his tool. She is beautiful and shy and he intends to abduct her. This book isn't all black and white. There are a lot of grey areas. It will make you curse and wanna throw things!! This author does a wonderful job of making you dislike Caleb, but not so much that you can't pull for him to find redemption.

I loved the alternating points of view from Caleb and from his Pet, Kitten. He guessed she no longer thought he was cute. Cute was for pussies He is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, that includes puppies, babies, rainbows, sunsets, and sunrises.

His skin is beautifully tanned, as if the sun itself took the time to kiss his skin to perfection. His muscled forearms are dusted with the same golden hair of his head. Kitten has been abducted by the most beautiful thing she has ever seen. How can something so perfect on the outside be so fucked up and dark on the inside. How can someone so wrong make her feel such intense lust!!! Unfortunately, Caleb comes across a little insane, as he struggles with an internal battle. He begins to want something that he can never have!!

What happens when a man becomes obsessed with his captive? Only women were capable of being so fucking sexy you wanted to lick them clean when they considered themselves dirty.

I don't tend to like heroines that cry and or blush a lot. But I was able to tolerate Kitten because she was truly innocent. She was also beautiful enough to tempt men, but young and shy enough that she tried to hide it in order to avoid unwanted attention. I can only recommend this book to lovers of Dark Erotica. This book involves violence, abduction, and rape.

The subject matter revolves around human trafficking and the author represents it in a realistic manner. Caleb is no saint, but he definitely isn't the devil. The character development is believable and well thought out. I immensely enjoyed this book and could not wait to dive into the sequel!! My Dark Duet Reviews: Seduced in the Dark View all 80 comments. This book is darker than you believe It is more emotional than any book I have read and made me feel things I didn't even know I could feel It made me look at things differently..

Caleb spent half his life in the pursuit of revenge. Revenge against what others have done to him.. He is a beautiful, broken man who has survived by the only way he knows.. Putting up walls, following orders and shutting off the emotions. He sees in Livvie a part of him Looking for someone to love and belong to.. I fee This book is darker than you believe I feel for him when he realizes that Livvie and him are captive with no way out Olivia finds herself in the sexual chemistry between her and Caleb.. Locked up in her dark room he soon becomes not only her torturer but her savior!

As she is beaten into submission in order to play a role in someone else's harsh game of revenge I felt so horrible for Livvie at the moment she realizes there is no escape View all 98 comments. Jun 26, Stacia the club rated it really liked it Recommended to Stacia the club by: Livvie has been taken for reasons she doesn't understand.

She is held and tortured in a dark room, given little to no information other than being told to obey if she wants to avoid further punishment. She is stripped bare to her very soul, left with nothing to cling to except for the shred of mercy that her abusive captor seems to display in very brief flashes. I needed to get out of here before I lost my mind. How long does it take for one person to crack? How long does it take for an already exhausted human being to give in to the idea of staying a captive forever, rather than continuing to fight for their freedom? How long would it take for a person to find comfort in the arms of the one person who might be the end of them?

I was always seeking shelter in the people who hurt me the most. Like a battered dog begging for love from a malicious master. It was all I knew. This is not a romance. This story is meant to make you think. Make NO mistake with the interpretation. Just because you may or may not find yourself feeling compassion for Caleb the broken anti-hero, this does not make the story a romance. If you pick up Captive in the Dark and find yourself disgusted enough to want to write a ranty review about how wrong everything is, you are probably missing the point of the book. I will write it again: This NOT a romance.

Here, I'll even let the book text even spell it out for you This isn't a romance. You're not a damsel in distress and I'm not the handsome prince come to rescue you. Scary Disturbing Thought-provoking Sensual in parts whether or not you want to comply with where it goes What this book made me feel: Sadness Frustration Confusion Worry that I might want something I shouldn't Are we allowed to root for Caleb and Livvie as a couple if this situation is completely wrong?

That's the beauty of books. Everyone gets to want what they want. Maybe you want to see Caleb get a bullet in his head for what he's done. Maybe you want to see Caleb and Livvie find understanding in each other. There is no way to romanticize what has happened. Am I rooting for these two people to become a couple?

You're not a damsel in distress, and I'm not the handsome prince come to save you.

So please don't try to pin this on me if you ended up not enjoying it. I am not recommending this to anyone, read at your own risk. Here, i'm admitting it, this book is downright fucked up. First of all, you need to decide if you want to look at it as Olivia's story or Caleb's story. The last true test of his soullessness—willfully stripping someone of their freedom. Later a man named Rafiq rescued him, now they are both hell bend on revenge on the same man. If Caleb is to get close enough to strike, he must become the very thing he abhors.

His plan is to kidnap a beautiful poor girl, who no one will miss, and train her as a "pleasure" slave to get close to his target. Against his chest, her frantic, pleading sobs vibrated his entire body. Was she using him as protection? Keep in mind, this is the girl who's family doesn't even love her, she never had many friends, her life hadn't even started before she got sucked into Caleb's lala land.

She starts feeling a connection with Caleb, and that was the saddest part of the story! I wanted her to run away, but at the same time i wanted her to stay. You are going through everything with her, at this point the book starts to mess with your mind. You can't even make up your mind about what's right, or what you are feeling. It's such a dark read!! God, I know I shouldn't, but I do!! But that does not mean I didn't want to stab him in the face sometimes. View all 49 comments. What have I just read? My reactions throughout the book: Captive in the Dark surprised me to no end!

It's one of those books that can make me pause for a while, contemplate and question myself if I'm still normal? Because it's the kind of book that I shouldn't love, but I did. It's dark , twisted , and full of fuckeries , and yet This book is not your typical romance book. It' "While I slept, he had made himself the master of my fate, and I could do nothing but allow it.

It's not even about kidnap books that happen in some mushy, romantic movies. It's abduction with cruelty-- a book where a captor inflicts pain to his captive for the sake of escaping his traumatic past and sort of relieving his inner torment. The story opens with an introduction of the main character Caleb who had a very complicated and painful past.

He grew up with an absolute desire for revenge to someone whose influence and wealth are infinite. By operating a sex slave business, his mission to find connection to that someone and give revenge is already too close. Until he met the innocent and fragile Olivia , the perfect prospect for a sex slave, and things began to take place. This book is quite disturbing but there's something powerful about it that captivated me from the first page up to the last.

It might be because of Caleb. Because no matter how much I try to hate him for his twisted personality, I still found myself drawn to him. All throughout the book I basically wanted to read more and find out what made him do things like what he did to Olivia and what made him become a monster.

When it comes to Olivia, she is a perfectly imperfect character. I found her too soft in the beginning. I did not like the way she always react by crying and sobbing. She could do better than that. Thankfully, her character improved in the middle portion of the book and she became tough, unyielding, and admirable. Despite how this book appeared to be disturbing, it was well-done. The way it was written by the author is impressive.

The storyline and the plot were greatly executed. It's also fast-paced and totally compelling and there were also action and thrilling scenes that are bone-chilling. I also love the romance in this book. It's deep and stirring. My emotions all throughout the book can't be explained. This novel is absolutely a masterpiece!

I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book! View all 76 comments. Oct 17, Bayli rated it it was amazing Shelves: I need to breathe for a second. Sort out my thoughts. Try and figure out what to make of this jumble of emotions I am feeling right now But god, I loved it. Damn it all, I freakin loved this book. My first thought after finishing up this gripping story: Is there something seriously wrong with me? Why would I actually enjoy reading this book?

Why do I think this is now going straight to my "favorite Okay. Why do I think this is now going straight to my "favorites" book shelf? Is my brain not working correctly? How could I possibly give this book 5 stars after seriously wanting to chuck my kindle across the room?. Well, I don't know if there is something seriously wrong with me All I know is that this book captivated me from the very beginning to very end.

He was the monster that no one thought to look for in the light of day. But safety - like light - is a facade. Underneath, the whole world is drenched in darkness. Meet the gorgeous daylight monster, Caleb Keleb, "Dog". He didn't look like the type of man a girl should fear. In fact, to Livvie- he was salvation. He was the man she ran to when another was seeking to cause her harm. That's how she met Caleb. Running away from a stalking man and throwing herself into the arms of another.

Throwing herself into what she didn't know at the time- was simply another predator. Caleb new he needed a pretty American girl. They were were the most desirable and he needed the best if he was going to get to the man he was destined to kill- the man he had been waiting and trained to kill since he was just a young boy. He knew that this girl, Livvie, or as he likes to call her "Kitten" would be perfect for his needs. He had chosen a beautiful submissive. And what was a submissive if not adaptable - if not a survivor?

Livvie has had a rough life. A mother that doesn't love her and insists that Livvie is a whore. A father that is no longer around and the memories that she does have are all hurtful. She has a number of brothers and sisters- she is seemingly not close to any of them. All she can do is try to survive, try to make her mother love her- try to prove to herself that she is not a whore. That's when she's captured by the very man she has been fantasizing about since she ran into him.

Believing that he was one of the good guys- only to find out he's from her very worst nightmare. Livvie seems to be two different people. She's strong and feisty yet at times she's shy and submissive. When she just can't take any more- she lashes out becoming more like a lion than the "kitten" name her captive has given her.

It would seem as if Livvie can't be broken- yet that's exactly what Caleb needs from her. He needs to break her down. He needs her to give into his every command. He needs her to do without question, to stop fighting him. But it's against her nature to allow herself to become this for him Will she be what Caleb needs her to be? Kitten and the Dog How fitting are those names?

They seem to go together dont they? But do they really? Are those two animals not opposites? Or do those two things belong together? They are both animals. No no, not humans. A dog can be trained to attack. A dog can be trained to kill under command. A dog can be viscous if not loved and cared for.

Is this was Caleb has become? Has he become the name that his capture had given him? Small dainty little things.. Mewing when upset or hurt, purring when happy and content. Kittens are sweet, docile creatures. When faced against a dog- would they ever stand a chance? Sure they have nails- they can lash out. They can cause some harm, do a bit of damage- stand up for it's tiny self. But when it comes down to it It's still just a small, innocent animal. In the end the kitten would lose the fight against the dog. Is she now exactly what her capture has named her That's Caleb and Livvie's relationship.

The relationship between the two is obviously confusing. At the beginning Livvie runs to him for safety! Even after she's been captured by him- she still seeks his arms when other men threaten her. She wants Calebs arms wrapped around her. There are times where Caleb does things to her that just make you want to jump into this book and strangle is psychotic ass He does things that are humiliating, painful, and all around frightening. There were times I felt like I was Livvie I felt trapped, i couldnt move, I couldnt breathe, couldnt speak Because if she did she would be punished and there was absolutely nothing she nor I could do about it So, I did the only thing I could possibly do in this situation- I continued to read.

It was dark, horrific, challenging, and dangerous.

He knows this because he has experiences it. He knows what it's like to be humiliated time after time To have your choices chosen FOR you. He knows what it's like to be beaten. He knows what it's like to be sold to man after man for sex.

Original Review I found this book while I was book shopping, and I was first attracted to the cover. I then read the blurb for the book, and while normally this is not a book I would ever choose to read, the subject matter being something I would run away screaming from, I found myself curious.

I was curious how the author would pull this off. Could she make me like the hero? Could I really read this book? I knew this would be a dark story. This is the most raw, and gritty book I have ever read. Roberts absolutely put me to the test with this one. By the time I finished this book I was too mentally exhausted to react to the ending. I had no difficulty in following the story being written this way, and in fact I loved it. So, did the author make me like the hero? By the time Mrs. Roberts was finished with me, I wanted to hold Caleb and assure him everything would be okay.

And he was somewhere in the house fucking some whore's brains out.

When i finished reading all i could say was "Whoa". Captive in the Dark starts off with two men planning revenge. Caleb and Rafiq both seek the death of one man a billionaire by the name of Vladek Rostrovich. But first Caleb has to secure a slave. The sure way to get close to touching Vladek would be to enter a virgin slave into the Flower sale in Pakistan.

Caleb has to get a girl and train her in six weeks, then make a trek across the ocean to Rafiq in the middle east. Well Caleb finds a girl. With the help a Rafiq he is able to smuggle the girl to a house in mexico and begin to train her. The thing is Livvie is a fighter and as long as there is a breath in her body she will fight. I loved Livvie i felt everything she felt I loved how open and honest she was with Caleb; right down to the point when she would rebel against him.

She had a true "I will survive" spirit that Caleb could not beat out of her all the way to the last page. Now Caleb this guy has some issues. And we get glimpses into his past in the story, the guy really went through some crazy stuff at a very young age. I loved Caleb tho.

And when shit hit the fan he was a not to be reckoned with. When these unknown feelings began to creep into his system for Livvie i knew it was over. Lust is one thing but love is to powerful. And once he could admit to himself thet what he was feeling for Livvie was love It was over i knew he would do whatever he had to do for her.

My heart was in my throat, butterflies in my stomach and feeling extreme anxiety through every scene featuring Caleb and Olivia. I had thought the capture and first meeting between the two was heart stopping Nothing was predictable in this book. I couldn't decide if he was a true villain, an evil prick or a sick bastard. His mood swings gave me whiplash. From calm and soft, to pinching nipples and spanking the next.

The intimacy if you can call it that was acceptable in my books. It would start with a scene that I knew was bad, but gradually become softer, somehow intimate. These scenes were written in a way that helped me feel Olivia's acceptance, even if reluctant at first. How easy it was for him to inflict pain towards her with no hesitation.

What I didn't expect was the guilt and changes of heart. Ohhh Caleb, how I loved you then. I was eager to see how these new thoughts and changes would lead him and how his feelings towards Olivia would affect them both. For the first time in recent memory, Caleb wanted something other than revenge. He wanted the girl. And then I actually felt sorry for Caleb. He let down his guard whether purposely or not and the end result he felt was against him, leaving him disappointed and again guarding his emotions.

It was devastating to know he went through such horror at such a young age. Then for all of it to resurface when he found Olivia again, after she escaped. His emotions and fears were pushed to the surface, for all to see. His reaction towards those holding Olivia exposed his feeling towards her, even if he denied them.

I'm searching for things to make her comfortable. Isn't that what love is? At times I felt sorry for her, and wished her a better fate. She confused me with her thoughts. The plan they had was to kidnap and present Livvie the most enticing virgin sex slave. She was pure conquest… The girl had to be someone truly special.

She had to be a gift so valuable that she and her trainer alike would be talked about by everyone. He pushed the hair off of my face and kissed me again. It was a strange gift, from an unexpected source. Caleb was the biggest trip for me, seriously the way it was written was beyond amazing, who would ever thought you could fall in love with darkness.

Thanks for you help! I am desperately trying to find a book I believe I read in the mid to late 90s not totally sure. It would most likely be Harlequin or Silhouette. It is about a man who is after the person who killed his wife and twin daughters in a car bombing. Then a few months later she discovered she is pregnant. She has three identical triplet boys and she tries to find the man she spend the night with but with no luck.

Then she runs into to him like three or four years later. I think at this point the triplet boys are around three years old and he then protects her and his sons because the man she had been dating for the last six months is the one who initially killed his wife and twin daughters. I think the triplets names were Ryan, Sean and unsure of the other one. If anyone one remembers this I would greatly appreciate it. I loved this book and would love to read it again. I scanned through the last post but not these ones yet. So if someone has already asked about this book just point me in the right direction please.

I mostly remember scenes ant he plot and I think it was a Harlequin. But it was about a guy, who used to be a surfer I think and now he works for or owns a magazine and is doing a photo shoot of the new swim line. Back when he was still surfing he met a girl had an amazing night with her but was so drunk he only remembers the tattoo on her back and not her face.

She owns a shop now that sells organic fiber? I remember the part where she, I think, bets him that her swimsuits are better and she can make the models look better in the shoot than he can. He makes her wear one of her own suits and realizes that she is the one he was looking for and when he asks why she never said anything she tells him that she already knows who he is. Please help me find this book.

It's driving me nuts! I read this 4 or 5 years ago and think it was a fairly recent publication. It's historical European, maybe early s. The hero is in London with friends. His wife is there. It was a marriage of convenience, and they had never lived together. She was struggling to hold the estate together.

I read a novel a number of years ago maybe between - It likely is medieval England. He takes them with his men. The friend ultimately finds out she is pregnant. One of the hero's knights is married to her. Ultimately the hero and heiress end up together. This is much of the detail I can recall. I would much appreciate the author and title if anyone out there can remember. Any help is greatly appreciated! Hi I'm looking for a book I believe it was a harlequin presents don't remember the title I read it I think 10 years ago or more.

The book was about a heiress whose father made a man marry her because she liked him but after they were married he left her alone for years she thinks she loves someone else but her husband showed her he was only after her money. Sorry it's been awhile but I remember I really enjoyed this book I also believe the cover had a woman in a blue silk dress hopefully someone can help.

Hi everyone I've also posted before and I'm getting kinda desperate. The book's title may have the word scandal in it. I can't remember why. I do remember something about a seduction in a chair on the way to London. Also it was definitely published before Oct 30, , Yes that is the book thank you so much starlight genie it was driving me crazy trying to remember what it was called. I believe that book has a chair scene but I don't remember the rest. Its a long shot but thought I'd mention it. I am new to this site and any help with a title or author would be much appreciated.

I read a paperback novel a number of years ago maybe between - He takes her and the friend with his men. The friend ultimately finds out she is pregnant from the rape. One of the hero's knights marries her. Can someone please help me name this book its been driving me nuts for years! It is right after the Civil war in America. The heroin is of raven hair and they make mention of it that its so midnight black. He plays and gambles away her horse to a rich handsome horse breeder. She runs away but eventually goes to him because he threatens to place her father in jail.

She becomes ill and he nurses her back to health after which she agrees to become his mistress. He then takes her to France and she finds out she is going to have his child. She fears he wont want it after a misunderstanding and so runs away. He searches for her and finds her. He and her then finally reunite at his big house. I read this many years ago. I want to say that there is a woman with black hair on a horse in the cover but i could be wrong. It may also have the word raven or midnight or dark angel in it.. Hi everyone, I would appreciate the help if anyone knows of a book that I've been searching for a few years now.

What I remember is that she has been betrothed already. She's really good with her bow and arrow. When the hero meets her to marry her, she's being attacked at her house in the woods as he meets her. She believes she's in love with a friend she's known since childhood. But she starts to be really attracted to her hero. She freaks out of how attracted she's becoming of him so she convinces her twin sister to say that she's feeling ill in her bedroom and she escapes in either a rug or trunk I vaguely remember and then goes on horse back to her childhood friends house. Without realizing that's she's being followed and she's the one who's been the target this whole time.

Sorry I wrote a super long post. Hi, I've been looking for a particular historical romance for weeks now. I read it at least 6 or 7 years ago, maybe more. It is similar to 'Flowers from the Storm' by Laura Kinsale in that the Hero is struck down by something that makes everyone believe he has become an imbecile. I think he might be a Duke or an Earl? It is set in England maybe regency or just before. There is something about all the other family members dying or being killed by the French?

I'd be most grateful if anyone knows what this book is. I'm new to librarything and I'm really hoping someone will recognize a book from a very brief description because I can't remember more than the basics of the plot really. Years ago I read a romantic mystery about a cold, cruel twin who convinces her twin sister to take her place. The cold, cruel twin is in a very unhappy marriage and has a daughter who she doesn't seem to care about at all. The nice twin goes along with her plan for some reason and falls for the husband and the little girl.

The husband at first is baffled by her new, kind behavior because he was used to her gold digging, heartless twin and unaware she had a twin. Eventually he starts to fall for the new twin still thinking its his wife. Sorry, that's all I can remember. I know its not very specific. If you can think of any plots that fit, please let me know! I'm so happy I could cry! Check out the old thread "name that book" Allright gals and? I am still desperately looking for the title of a book I read twelve years ago so here goes: Something like temptation or scandal I think this is the most likely please please help.

Posting again in the hopes that someone will end my torment! I'm looking for a Harlequin, probably for the 80s or 90s. It's about two brothers and one woman. The brother the woman is married to dies. The other brother comes back into her life. Turns out the brother she was married to was gay.

That's all I can remember. Hi, I am looking for a romance book I believe it may be from the 80's or 90's. It was about a tree sprite or nymph who awoke from a long sleep to a man coming to this very old house in the winter. They end up meeting and falling in love. I cannot remember the name of the book because it has been so long since I read it. I think the title may have had the word rose in it, but I'm not positive. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Or possibly Fires of Winter by same author? I'm going crazy trying to find this book. I think its a harlequin superromance from the 90's. It's about a lady who is pregnant, there are two little kids involved and a surly rancher. It takes place in either montana, north dakota or colorado.

The cover has a lady in a blue dress and she's pregnant. I've read both of those books and they're not the one I'm looking for. I don't remember the name or the author, but I remember that its about a woman who walks in on her husband and he's having a threesome with his secretary and another man.

She feels horrible because he was horrible to her and made her feel horrible about herself I think he called her fat, etc. I don't remember what happens after this but eventually she meets this like super hot rich entrepreneur guy, who's like in computer technology or something and she ends up living with him for a bit and they fall in love. I think it takes place like in Washington, I remember fog and water Thanks! Hello Everyone - hope someone can help me. Last year I read a book and did not put it into my Excel sheet - now it is driving me nuts: Taks plase in England - - or so.

Lord X's father dies I think he killed himself Money is very tight so with the help of his mother Lord X opens a gaming hell he is very good with cards No one knowes he's a "Lord" He restores the family money. He meets a woman, falls in love - but if they marry - he then needs to become Lord X and everyone will know he has two identies. Nov 26, , 3: This is in reply to post 66 cmboyd This sounds familiar to a Sandra Brown novel I read some time ago.

However, in the book the heroine was not a twin but a look-alike and she took the evil look-alike's place after a plane crash. I don't know if this could be it The first I do believe is a Harlequin or Silhouette. The heroine arrives from the country to net a husband. She has her old nanny and a younger sister who is very beautiful, but has intellectual disabilities. At some point, someone tries to kidnap her sister. The heroine eventually gets married to a reformed rake who is ashamed of his past. The second book is actually the first part of a trilogy. It was also an historical set in England.

All I remember is that there were three sisters who somehow became separated and they belonged to a theatrical family. The third is more recent and is the first of a trilogy of three sisters. Also an historical, the sisters are fashionistas and set up their shop in London. This story is about the oldest sister who has a daughter. There is a fire started by a rival that burns down their shop and they move into the love interests home.

If so, you might be interested in knowing that the third book in the series is due out this month. I've been finding this book for years!!! But she went nevertheless, but ultimately she came up and went back to the shack where they made love. There was another scene where she felt someone staring at her from the woods. Please if someone know the book title help me out!! Thank you so much! I think my hero is an Earl. Again thanks - I'll get there yet. Everyone have a Great Thanksgiving!

I've being going quite mad, especially as I'd like to read the sequels. Gonna to ask again. I'm looking for three books now. Is the heroine goes to Dawson city then to the goldfields to locate her father Hero's name is Logan I believe. She ends up marrying him and they leave to go to his claim by dog sled. She still ends up sleeping with him and gets pregnant. She then ends up being employed by the hero's wife who is also pregnant, making her dresses.

The wife discovers the other woman is pregnant and does not know its her husbands and shames the woman. The wife also ends up trying to kill her own child with a pillow but is stopped and I can't remember if they put her in a home or what but the hero ends up with the Heroine and finds out she has his baby as well. This one takes place in Australia on a sheep ranch.

Dec 2, , He is supposed to be engaged to her sister. She offers to marry him in her sister's place. Also they're father wanted the sister to marry the man so he could pay off the family's debt. Dec 8, , 9: Hi I am looking for 3 novels. I think there may be more. They might be half brothers.

There mom has remarried. One of the books there is an art gallery and the woman who runs it gets kidnapped by her brothers drug running friends. The other book one of the sons has a daughter. Hi first I want to excuse myself. I am looking for a novel. I just remember there was kind of a bet about a mansion going on between the hero and the heroine because of the heroes brother. I was kind of just looking through the book, I haven't really read it. Dec 8, , Just found out about this place, this looks great.

English not my first language, so sorry for any mistakes. I read some posts from the previous thread and I recognized a couple books that I'm also looking for I think Can't remember the author, much less the title or the characters names. The 1st was posted in It is set in England near the Thames. In the beginning the heroine is a highwayman dressed as a boy and is in charge of a group of orphaned boys. She tries to rob a nobleman and he captures her and takes her to his home to be punished. When they go to spank her they figure out she is a she and he decides to keep her and train her to be a lady.

In the end she ends up being or looking like someone important that they were looking for all along. Some other random things: I think she had her first "tub" bath and compared it to bathing in the Thames. I believe she had long red hair. During regency time in London, somehow the heroine is passing as a servant boy in the hero house, I think that she tried to rob him, but the hero was sorry and gave her a job instead and then the hero some lord starts to have feelings for the 'boy', when he finds it's a girls instead, he makes her his mistress and in the end eventually they get married.

I think that she also was someone important who was kidnapped and got amnesic. I'm starting to feel that I'm mixing 2 stories The 2nd was posted in I think he was drunk or something and she tries to rob him and his friend and he catches her and forces her to marry her. Shes actually suppose to be an aristrocat who got kidnapped when she was young. I remember then the heros father teaching her how to be a lady and then launching her into society and shes all beautiful and witty and successful. The hero falls for her without realising shes his wife and i remember how she kept visiting the streets to feed some orphans or something and the hero meets her there again asking for a divorce or something along the lines Hi- new member -: I am looking for a futuristic romance from the 80's or 90's.

A female pilot or law enforcer of some type crashes on a prison planet. The decedents of the original prisoners are living there and have formed a somewhat barbarian like society swords, etc. She and the hero fall in love and eventually leave the planet.

There is some political strife, as the decedents of the original prisoners were being kept on the planet even though they hadn't done anything. I can't really remember the details. The heroine had a vine tattoo that wrapped from her foot, around her leg, across her back, to "bloom" on her chest.

I think she had red hair. I kept thinking this book was by Elizabeth Lowell or someone mainstream but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone have a clue what book this is? Thanks for any thoughts!! The first book was Warrior's Woman. I know the female lands on the heros planet when her planet is invaded. The hero's planet is a barbarian planet where woman are second class citizens. He ends up going back with her to help her planet out. I don't think she had a tattoo but maybe its another book in the series?

Im new to this and its all because im desperate to figure out this book. I do not have a lot of information but it starts in London. This woman who is living with her aunt and uncle is sent to live with the aunts brother. The aunts brother makes advances towards the woman. She tries to escape and the brother is killed in the fray. She runs from the house and is snatched up and taken to a ship captain because she is mistaken for a prostitute.

After that night she goes back home to her aunts and uncles she ends up being pregnant and they make the captain take her with him as he was leaving to America after they collected money from him. He thinks he was tricked and makes it hard for the woman. She becomes very ill on the ride to America. He lived on a plantation of sorts with a woman neighbor he was intimate with. The neighbor is very jealous of his wife they were married in a quick ceremony before they left london the thought of the murder of her aunts brother follows her and she believes she is at fault.

I think there was another character that was rhe brothers accomplice he was a creepy, slight kind of man. I hope someone can help me and I get the chance to help someone else! Isn't this The Flame and the flower by Kathleen Woodiwiss? I would never have found it. Even the brief description on amazon would not have jogged my memory. I had to try a sample just to be sure. Dec 23, , 3: The boy ran away to sea to become a sailor and have a great adventure.

So, the girl dressed up, pretending to be a boy and went to meet their newly appointed guardian. The Duke, trying to "man up" his new feminine looking ward took him her to a bordello very comical and that was where he found out that he was actually a she!! He ended up marrying her and then had her twin brought back from the ship he was on. I think the girl's name was Alyssa and her twin was Nicky.

There is more to the story but any help you can give would be appreciated. I've been looking for this book for a while but couldn't find it. I don't remember a lot of details. It's about a model coming back to her hometown. The book starts with her speeding when she's going into town. The male character is a cop and they went to high school together. Any help finding this book would be greatly appreciated! I'm looking for a book about a woman who is married with a small daughter.

She is hit by a car, I believe, and dies while in the hospital. But, she decides that it's not her time yet and takes over the body of a single woman who was also injured. She recovers from her new body's injuries and finds her husband and daughter to check up on them they end up becoming friends and more.

In the end, the husband finds out or she tells him what happened and after a while they end up back together. I believe it was a Silhouette or Harlequin. I am in need of your help! I have been trying to figure out the title of a book. Here is a summary of what I remember of the plot Ringing any bells for anyone? I am a newbie here The heroin however disguised herself as a normal girl and work at a ranch. She likes all the heavy machinery used at the ranch.

The hero is her boss and owner of the ranch. He treats her like his other worker and has a girlfriend i think. The girlfriend is very vain and the heroin notice that his girlfriend pretends to be trendy but actually she is not. I have been looking for a specific romantic book for ages. I came across this site today and thought I would give it a try. I think he has nightmares and the girl tries to help him with that. I am not so sure on the specifics. So some of the above could be totally imaginary. I hope someone can help me!

I came across this site today and hope someone can help me. Here's what I remember: The heroine is from France, an orphan, goes to love with her uncle? Her cousin is an heiress. The hero is poor nobility and must marry for money. He visits the uncle's estate with his two friends to court the cousin. One of the hero's friends helps set her up with a shop in London where she resells dresses.

Thanks so much for the help! I'm glad I found this thread. I'm new to posts like these so bare with me. I've been trying to find the name of this book for a long time now and it's driving me crazy. I don't remember much of the plot of the story or the names of the characters 'coz I read this book a while back.

What I do remember though is that this book is kinda on the adult romance genre. The story starts where a beautiful virgin young woman daughter of a man of power - probably a politician gets raped by a fat, short and old diplomat not really sure if he's a diplomat but he scares the girl by saying she can't tell anyone 'coz he has immunity in that country. After being raped she is kidnapped by the same diplomat but she gets saved by a man love interest 1 but then she gets caught again by the diplomat and after some time saved by another man love interest 2.

She then gets abducted by tribal people and she was deemed to be "the one" deity or something maiden or sun goddess because of her beauty. Love interests 1 and 2 joins this ritual and 2 wins and they escape from the tribal people. Going back to civilization she gets confronted by the two love interests to choose between them who she loves most.

She chooses love interest 1 but near the end she realizes, she loves love interest 2 more so she leaves 1 for 2 and they live happily ever after. I forgot most of the scenes and it was a thick book so there were a lot of scenes I forgot I wanna read them again but I just can't remember details that will lead me to the book. I don't know if what I read was already an omnibus or just a very long novel. New to this, but hopefully someone can help! I've tried searching for this book, but Google is failing me.

It's a regency romance novel. He takes her to his country home, and she gets along with his staff. Possibly something about her organizing his library. She gets pregnant, but hides it from him. He takes her back to London, and she continues to hide the pregnancy from him she's miserable in the carriage ride to town -- I think because she's trying to be the perfect ton wife. Her morning sickness gets so bad that she avoids callers; and then she's still so tired in the afternoon, that she cleverly avoids social calls and stays home to be well enough to go out for evening events tells Lady A that she'll be at Lady B's musical, tells Lady B she'll be elsewhere, etc.

When her husband realizes that he is in love with her, he tries to track her down in the afternoon, going from point A to B to C, etc. They both profess their love, he takes her back to the country, and everything ends well. Hi guys I'm new here! I need help finding this book. I of course can't remember the name of the book or author or even character names but heres what I do remember: The woman moves in with the cowboy, I think she works at a theater, or maybe she's a mail order bride, but the cowboy pretends to be his twin brother throughout the story, who she eventually falls in love with.

I remember there was an Indian couple living in the back yard and she helps the woman give birth. Also, at the end of the book is when she finds out that the guy has been playing as his rough and tough twin brother. If theres any way you can help me it would be much appreciated!!! She ends up falling in love with 'Lucas Holt' who had a twin brother 'Slade Holt'. Slade was brought up by Indians and is the rougher of the two. Lucas pretends to be both Lucas and Slade throughout the book to lure an enemy out of hiding.

Hi all, I'm new to the group and the site. Hoping someone can help me with the title or author. It's historical fiction possibly regency. She literally stumbles over unknown man, drunk, and he proposes. After being chastised again at home she takes him up on his offer. Turns out he is nobility. Jan 6, , 9: Hero needs to marry and produce an heir to secure estate. Her father is getting remarried to a shrew. It seems like both threads are active now! I'm a noobie, but here goes Medieval setting, published in late 90's or early 's I think --Two or three related books--one has a heroine named Judith, she marries beneath her somewhat, to a fairly impoverished noble family.

Her husband had mistresses he called by days of the week and she burned up their bed so he knew she wouldn't put up with it. The family's name had falcon in it, I think. Another related one same author, some shared characters was about the impoverished knight's little sister, named Zerah or something similar, who had always dressed as a boy and learned to fight like a knight.

Reward Yourself

She is bested in a fight or something, and the other knight knows at once she is a woman though no one else, even her sister in law from the other book, don't know. I hope someone knows these! This is so amazing, how some people know all of them! I had actually accidentally posted in another thread, and someone answered anyway, people are nice: I need help finding the title of this book!

Hopefully someone could help me - you all seem to have excellent memories. Its a fairly recent book I believe. But she has a big heart and is going to school to become a teacher. Things come to head when the sister gets sick. The real story is that the bf tried to have sex with the h, fed up with the spoiled nature of the sister, believing that the kind and sweet nature of the h was more his speed, but she denied him.

The bf goes off in a rage and promptly breaks up with the sister, spouting about how much better a person the h is than her, alluding that they had had sex. The sister runs to her brother, the H telling him how awful her friend, the h, is for sleeping with her bf. He tells her off, yelling about how they took her in and were kind to her, all the while she was a cheating backstabber, etc. Realizing that she had just been kidding herself and would never be good enough for the H, she leaves for a teaching job in Texas?

Things quickly fall apart between the H and his sister, especially as she realizes that the was probably wrong and took her anger out on the wrong person. The sister grows up and decides to become a nurse. Meanwhile the h is teaching in Texas where she is stabbed accidentally by a street kid when she gets in the middle of a fight. The H and the sister fly to her aide and bring her back to the ranch against her will. During her recuperation thats when the h and the H make up. Hoping someone can help me out with this. I read a book as a teenager it might have been either a young adult or a general romance book about a girl who goes out west dressed as a boy.

Unfortunately, I don't remember many details from it -- I think it had a mostly white cover with drawn characters in brown tones.

It was probably from the early s, although it could have been the late s as well. It might have been a series book Harlequin, or something similar. The girl is traveling with a group, and she of course likes one of the guys, who might have been the guide possibly on the Oregon Trail. He only realizes she is a girl when he's helping her up some obstacle, like a hill, and his arm grazes her chest. I read the beginning at the library as a kid and never finished it, but it stuck with me, as you can see!

Thanks for any leads. I'm struggling to find the name of this book.. This guy had an operation during which he tied his tubes ergo he can't have children. Then he enters a shop one day, a few years later and happens to look at her screensaver and find an image of a child that looks almost alike to him when he was a child I keep getting confused with storylines similar to this one. Look for the name and author of a romance i read over 10 years ago and it was an older book then, i'm thinking Romance story that the woman of the book was a reporter and while trying to get an interview with someone she gets bitten by a dog.

Touchstones

Something happened in the book were they got together to investigate or fix a problem, I am not sure, but there was a plot outside of their love life. If you could kill anybody who hurt your love, if you care about someone ,if you could do anything about her , yes this is called love! I read it a few years ago and really liked it and recently have been thinking of it but i have forgotten the title so pleaze help!! Some can even experience orgasm from rape. I hope someone can help me! Seeking redemption is a positive start and then you go on a journey that will take years.

He has a baby left at his door. It's an old harlequin romance novel i believe 's in which the hero and heroine fall in love but unfortunately before anything can come out of it the hero's adopted father asks him to return home to marry his daughter who does not have long to live.

Suffice it to say the hero's wife dies after two years and leaves him with a daughter. The hero immediately hops on a plane to go back to the heroine however the plane crashes and the hero receives terrible burns and has to undergo plastic surgery. When the hero is finally reunited with the heroine who is an author or publisher she tells him she has a three year old son. The hero wants to be with her but doesn't know how to tell her about his situation. The hero's father- in- law meets him and the heroine learns about everything and runs away telling the hero she wants nothing to do with him.

The hero's daughter's name is Anna and I think the hero also had a mole on his back that was removed during his operation. Anyone having an idea or think the book I'm referring to then please let me know. I'm looking for the title of a romance book where she goes on a trip with a girlfriend, there is a hurricane and then she is all of a sudden in medieval times.

There are two more books to this series and I would love to read them all. I read this book years ago and cannot remember the name of it. I remember that the man was a lawyer who sided with the woman's husband and won the case, then they meet years later. The woman does not like corsets or lawyers. The story takes place in the U. I only read it once and started thinking about it and would like to read it again, please help me.

I read this in the 80s. It was part of a "Historical" series like Harlequin. Some of the "men" get together to see if someone can get her to say yes to a marriage proposal. There is a broke Scotish Laird in town who is trying to arrange money to help his clan. One night she is going back home from a dinner and her carriage is attacked and he protects her. She finds out about the bet and tries to leave him, but he says the bet was for him to ask he didn't have to break it. So they get married. He takes over the finances for the two of them.

Something happens on her estate but I can't remember what. At their first dinner party she has the bagpipes pipe the guests into dinner but it is not appreciated by the guests. She has scars on her back from where her father would use a whip on her. Eventually she is pregnant and they decide to move the entire clan to Canada because she wants the baby to be born in their new home.

If someone knows of this book, I would be grateful for the title. Trying to find a western historical romance about a guy who falls in love with his best friend's sister. The brother ends up dying in a lab fire and the guilt breaks up the couple. I think there might be the word stars in the title. Potentially from the s. I think it had a blue cover. Cannot remember the author or name of book. Read a book a couple months ago - guy and girl known each other long time, meet up at I believe a friend, maybe family members wedding - great weekend after he tells her to leave or else - she stays; girl gets pregnant and guy demands 1 week to show her he'll be good to her.

I think he didn't think he was worthy, but she's always been drawn to him. Maybe her family was wealthy? I can't remember - any help - greatly appreciated. I'm looking for this book I read about 10 years ago. It's about this female author who teaches a writing class in her free time. She's a bit stuck with this one book she's writing since her editor doesn't like the way she writes her sex-scenes. Therefore by chance she decides to take sex lessons from this cop in her writing class I know it was in-return-for-something or other but can't remember the particulars. Read the book in dutch, and it's title was along the lines of "Lessons in love".

Does anyone have a clue? Help would be appreciated: I need help trying to find a book I read sometime between years ago. I think it might be a harlequin. A girl is delivering something to a wedding maybe a cake? She gets shot at while leaving. A cop happens to be there and lands on her while protecting her. Of course there's chemistry, he ends up protecting her. That's about all I remember. I'm pretty sure though that in the first scene when he is covering she ends up with an orgasm. The h owns a book shop or house in, I think, London. He arrived late at night, having traveled from another town.

He overcomes it and, voila, HEA. Jan 23, , Was it Caroline by Willo Davis Roberts? Hi, I'm looking for a romance book that starts out with a man about to hang for piracy I believe and then he escapes and hides in some caves on the coast, a young woman lives in a convent above the caves and I'm not sure if she discovers him or if he kidnaps her but they end up together and she can't decide if she wants to stay with him or turn him in?

Does this sound at all familiar to anyone?

Name That Book cont. Part II

It's been driving me nuts not being able to find it. Jul 30, , Hello everyone, does anybody know the title of this book? I think it's a harlequin. I can't remember the reason why the hero and heroine got married, all i remember is that the heroine left the hero to live somewhere near a beach. So, the hero decides to get to know her again. When they meet not sure if at the beach or a restaurant at the beach they pretend they don't know each other and that they are meeting for the first time, they get along well and have a relationship.

So happy to have found this group! I read a romance years ago that I have never forgotten. Unfortunately, I did forget the title and author. I am hoping someone here can help me fill in the blanks. I am pretty sure it was a Harlequin. It was about this woman who had an aunt and uncle who were giving her some kind of pill to make her forget her husband.

He finds her and of course she doesn't know him, but in the end she remembers. I believe there was some bad weather, too, maybe snow. So glad I found this site. I hope someone can help me find this book, it's been 15 years since I read it but it has always stuck with me. The book I'm looking for was possibly published in the 's - 's. It was set in England if memory serves me correctly, 17th or 18th century?

The heroine bares a striking resemblance to the estranged 'wife'. He assaults the heroine as he spots her near his home or possible on his estate thinking she's the estranged wife wanting to punish her for leaving him and his young son but is horrified when he realises that the heroine was telling the truth and is an innocent. The heroine also has a slight limp, an injury she suffered when she was a child and I think walks with a cane. After attacking her he takes her to his home and to tries to redeem himself in her eyes not sure if he is titled, I'm assuming he is and she meets his son.

Any thoughts would be most helpful. I'm hoping somebody can help me! I'm pretty sure the book was a harlequin book. All I remember is that the heroine knew the hero while she was growing up. I think he might have been her brothers friend or something? She developed a crush on him and years later ends up working for him. He started to become attracted to her but still thought she was just a little girl even though she was all grown up.

Any help would be deeply appreciated! I read this book in 03ish and it was old then so I dont really know the publish year. Medieval romance, kinda cheesy. Redhaired maiden given away to be wed as part of kings orders. Gets sent away to filthy castle run by awful lord. He finds her and starts to fall in love with her. I believe the book went back and forth between his pov and hers. The cover was blue and whiteish. Thats all i have. Okay I'm looking for a book from Harlequin Romance its Like a Special Romance Edition or Something where the heroine is a woman football coach who has been hired to coach a high school football team but the man that wanted the position is angered but they end up assisting each other.

This woman doesn't let anyone know that she has MS Multiple Sclerosis and many accidents occur when she loses mobility in her legs. Two specific scenes that stick out to me is when she starts dating the other assist coach and they go to his family's home for a picnic and she plays basketball with them and she loses mobility in her legs and then that time she collapse in the teams locker room and the players find her. Does anyone know what the title and who the author is? Jan 30, , 3: I am looking for a book which I read a few years ago; a historical romance. I am almost sure that the book was a prequel to other books.

The heroine in this book was a vicar's daughter who met a titled man at an event which she attended with chaperones and a suitor. She and the man had sex the first time they met at the event and she later found out that the man was supposed to be betrothed to her friend. She snuck away another time to meet up with him. I think her sister ended up getting married to his brother or friend in a sequel. I'm still looking for my book.

The description is up in post 8. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help. But now, as she travels to Oregon in disreputable company, the stunning Irish songbird's cherished independence is threatened by irresistible desires for a handsome young preacher.
