Their relationship and love was unique. I got a glimpse into a hardcore dominant and submissive relationship and it fascinated the heck out me. Annabel Joseph is very honest and raw with her writing and it only made me enjoy this series even more. View all 21 comments. This series won't be for everyone. Please read the warnings in the blurbs and don't take them lightly. If you are familiar with Annabel's work then you know what you are getting into. This is a story of two adults that have certain needs Not to mention, this is a work of fiction so take it for what it is.
If you have an open mind and love stories that make you feel, this is definitely a journey worth taking. View all 4 comments. Nov 13, Elle rated it really liked it Shelves: Once upon a time, there was a lost, lonely princess, and a rough-edged prince who owned a castle with a dungeon.
She loved and hated both of them, her dreams a peculiar mixture of happiness and dread.
In Taunt Me, Chere confess her feeling to Price many times. Price couldn't love her. His way of showing love is far different from vanilla couple. Finally Chere give up her give up freedom in order to gain his love. There is always a way, she said. Her days with Price filled with rough and kinkiness. Price has done many wicked things with Chere. So much for love, she think.
It's not only Chere has to accept Price as her Master in bedroom also in everyday's life. I enjoyed their journey very much. I was amazed with Price's sadism because he never run out of ideas to torment Chere. Price really made her very special like he always do. He didn't want 'full-time' slave. This is my plus point for him. As a ultra-possessive sadist like Price, he's controlling her life.
He's so freaky in this book because it looks like he doesn't trust Chere. As much I enjoyed their rough sex, I hardly enjoyed their feeling. So different than the previous. Also, I kinda hated Chere in here. She changed into whinny woman. It disappoint me on how she's so clingy to Price. She almost throw out her education to be Price's dutiful slave.
What the F, woman? I liked her spirit in 1st and 2nd book because she seems has bright future and quite smart. But in this book, she turns to annoyed me. Trust Me got me very emotional until the end. Finally their relationship has to face the main problem. In this case, Price and Chere have lack of trust and maturity. Even they loved each other and could be hopelessly romantic, but they're so stubborn.
In every relationship you need to understand each other and they didn't have it. Yeah, They both have different way to showing love. For Price, he needs to control Chere's life because he's afraid of losing her. Too much control that made Chere almost insane. At first, Chere think it's fine for Price to control her but as time goes by she slowly realize that Price's control means not trust her.
Sometimes there were just bonds between people. Not manacles or leather cuffs or rope, but bonds deep inside you, because someone understood you and accepted you despite all your pathetic flaws. I have love-hate relationship with Chere and Price. She turns into unreasonable woman. The most thing I hated is view spoiler [with Simon.
This is the main conflict of her relationship. His lack of trust made Chere doubt her love. But in the end, they worked it out. It was beautiful on how their repair the relationship. But this series is really made for me. This is another plus that different from her other series that I've read. He is a sadist also freakin' romantic with poem. Definitely a compelling series. What you see right now Is what I see when I dream.
Beautiful diamond, beautiful heart. Beautiful fighter, and a soul like art. View all 14 comments. Dec 21, CC rated it it was amazing Shelves: For W, it meant really sharing his ultimate vision of a relationship and for Chere it translated to total submission leading to a total power exchange. Having always been a giver and putting herself second, Chere falls into old habits to please W. Delving into her personal limits, Chere must decide how far she is willing to push herself to please W inside and outside the playroom.
While W continues to slowly share more with Chere, these moments are not enough to sustain the turbulent times.
While Chere and W came from very different places in their lives, they balance each other completely and defined their own relationship boundaries. Throughout the series, Chere exceeded my expectations. She is strong, resilient, determined, loving and not afraid to take risks. At times, I felt her struggles and shared in her pleasure. Adding to the storyline are strong secondary characters that support the struggles Chere and W experience. I highly recommend Trust Me and the entire series.

Songs that remind me of the main characters and their relationship: Mar 22, Mimi rated it really liked it Shelves: Trust me, starts right where taunt me left off. Chere is in Price dungeon right where she wanted to be, lets remember how she begged Price to make her his slave. Chere also has started her new jewelry business thanks to Price investment in it.
Price is still the sadist dominant that we all know from the previous books. In this book we have a glimpse of how Chere and Price life is, which is totally crazy sexy and a bit overwhelming. I have read all three books of Annabel Joseph , and I have enjoyed all of them: I love her writing when it comes to BDSM, her books are very entertaining and will make you feel like you are experiencing everything yourself. He reached between the bars and grabbed my hair , giving it a firm yank.
But when she wants something she also fights for it not caring what the punishment or consequence will be. We struggled until he caught my hands in his. So overall as always I pretty much loved it. Jan 02, Mirjam rated it liked it Shelves: This is book 3 of the Rough Love series. Price just justifies this that she knew upfront and agreed with so shut up and take it.
In book 1, and a small part in book 2, there was a bit of caring of Price's part that I missed here. I felt that Price was always just looking for reasons to go off the rail and freely abuse someone. At This is book 3 of the Rough Love series. At some point I even got the feeling that Chere was not even a masochist. IMO Chere is a true submissive and afraid of being alone again and does not speak up. She is being told by Price that she likes the pain, likes being choked and abuse by him.
Price knows that she does not like the choking part but does not care about her feelings, he only cares about what he wants to get the trill he needs. We never read that Chere acknowledges that the pain turns into pleasure, only how awful it was. Price "awards" Chere for letting him abuse her with poems. Price enforces his ownership on Chere by spying on her with camera's unbeknown to her.
Editorial Reviews. Review. "Trust me? Trilogy I've laughed I've cried I've held my breath. The pure emotion put into these book is raw and honest, I've felt truly. Trust Me, book 3 of 3. He not only abuses her physical but also mentally, by forbidding her to have friends. She is just allowed one that she can only meet in public places if she get Price's permission. When Price holds her prisoner to prevent her for going to her ex's funeral she finally snaps and leaves Price. When he goes to her after one week he reluctantly apologises and starts abusing her immediately. The last part of the book felt a bit rushed and forced. Abuse makes trusting again pretty hard and, I think, needs a lot of professional help.
Price was never a talker and did not wanted to listen to Chere about his actions towards her, he just wanted her to accept all. Albeit, they suddenly started to communicate openly, and they even manage to build trust in a really short time. I was surprise at the swiftness in which they started to trust each other, started to communicate and letting each other in, it was a bit too rosy, IMO!
This book is part of a series that has to be read in order: Aug 01, Amy rated it did not like it Shelves: I probably should have stopped with the first book. The series got progressively questionable and uncomfortable; I think adding in Price's POV really did not do this series any good. And by the third book it's clear that he is just an abusive fuck. I'm so angry, and maybe I'm naive and stupid for not preparing myself for that with the whole master-slave dynamic set up by the end of the second book, but I think there's a way to write that and not have the guy be an emotionally physically abusive I probably should have stopped with the first book.
I'm so angry, and maybe I'm naive and stupid for not preparing myself for that with the whole master-slave dynamic set up by the end of the second book, but I think there's a way to write that and not have the guy be an emotionally physically abusive asshole. I was really interested in reading that kind of story. At least, if you're going to take it in that direction, acknowledge the behavior is abusive, which the author and MC did, thankfully!
Nas and Freddie are great characters and work extremely well together. She loved and hated both of them, her dreams a peculiar mixture of happiness and dread. The pace is kept brisk with brief use of descriptive detail, enough to allow the reader to create their own pictures. This is another plus that different from her other series that I've read. Trust Me works well as a standalone but you will get so much more out of this book if you read the previous two books, especially as the relationship between Freddie and Nas is a complex and interesting one. Masters and Mercenaries Bundle: Outside of the bedroom, control starts to become an issue.
I was hopeful in the beginning that this would be a different kind of story, with responsible, respectful narrative about the blurry lines of an abusive relationship. But then by the end it's just swept under the rug. There should have been more groveling toward the end, some more time apart, some fucking therapy to work through this shit, and honestly Chere never should have gone back to him, period. This was a book of two halves for me, the first half was hard going and it did take me a while to get into this final instalment.
However it did pick up in the second half and once the ending really got going for this couple I was invested. Chere and Price are definitely not normal, nor do they pretend to be, but it works for them and once they iron out their kinks these two really do have something. The past comes back to haunt to them that causes problems but this instalment was more about the This was a book of two halves for me, the first half was hard going and it did take me a while to get into this final instalment.
The past comes back to haunt to them that causes problems but this instalment was more about them working on their insecurities and what they have to bend to be able to be together. It was just too "rough" for me. It felt abusive rather then consensual. Aug 25, Agnieszka rated it liked it Shelves: Trust Me was a satisfying wrap-up to the Rough Love trilogy.
I wouldn't read it without reading the other two first, and as often happens I think the happy ending romance trope and the BDSM erotica don't quite mesh. It's not that kinky people can't be happy but rather the tropes are an awkward fit. Still, I have to appreciate that Annabel Joseph writes kinky romance protagonists who are imperfect humans but for whom the kink is not the fucked up part of them. As a work of literature, Trust Me is competent and formulaic. But in its specific subgenre it's something special.
I would also say that if you liked the Club Mephisto trilogy, you're definitely going to enjoy Rough Love as a trilogy. Not everyone's cup of tea, but if it's the kind of cup of tea you like, well, you probably know who you are. I need time to process. Perfect ending to the series. Yes, it was pretty brutal, but I could look past that and enjoy an incredible love story. Chere made too many excuses for his behaviour and literally became a fish in a fish tank.
Instead of sitting down and thinking cohesively about situations she found herself in, she just went round in circles ending back at the same point she complained she wanted out of. Nothing she said to him mattered, her feelings or her emotional pain never permeated his armour of control. Every rule, protocol or session was motivated because he was adamant it was for the best for her Despite continually showing her love for him, he continued with his punishments, exclusion until loneliness and rejection finally got to her.
Her self-hatred became so overwhelming she got the backbone and left him. This story wont appeal to everyone. Nov 25, Michelle [Helen Geek] rated it liked it Shelves: I gave the first book 4. I think because I didn't like Price. I wasn't crazy about Chere and I really, seriously didn't like them together. I've read DARK books before. I've read AJ's books before.
I've loved Dark and loved AJ. This series disappointed me. I think I wasn't ready for a sadist and how he developed a masochist. Their co-dependence is seriously whacked. The breath play is scary to me. I didn't like the way that Price had the nerve to look down on artist ex-boyfriend for his dependencies when he has his own. He fights it, but it consumes him. Nothing about this book seemed to have a semblance of normal but yet she tried to weave a normal existence for two and that just isn't possible.
Price won't let it happen. So, overall, I'd give this series 3. I really liked book 1, I was hopeful things would evolve in book 2, but book 3 was just more of the craptastic book 2 and left me feeling bereft. I really feel bad for Chere. She seems fine, happy even, so it is only my impression of what will make her happy that died.
I couldn't relate to any of them as much as I did in the other books and I'm glad Chere started to grow a backbone, but for me, she needed more of that. And Price needed to suffer just a bit more! It was sooo freaking good! I can't believe how fast pace it was. It was like a roller-coaster. The mystery behind Looking Glass! I couldn't decide if they were good or not, kept me guessing I loved Wicks internal debate on if she was a good or bad person.
She really beat herself up this time. As soon as she got out of looking Glass it was like balls to the walls amazing! Everything just went nuts and then boom! Find Me 1 and Remember Me 2 were two amazing books but I have to say this has been my favorite in the series. As we delve back into the world of Wick, we get to see more of her hacker side. We have moved away from the murder investigation plot and into a world of cover ups, criminals, manipulators, and business conspiracies.
It's an action packed eye opener that really makes you see everyone in a new light, including Wick. We really see her vulnerable side as she questions all the decisions she has made. Did she do right by her family? Did she do right by Griff or Milo?
Did she do right by herself? And exactly what role does her father play? There are so many twist and turns but then it slows down with little sweet moments. I couldn't put the book down! It really was an amazing ending to the series, so so happy! The little glimpses that we get with him were a delight. I love him so much! He cares so much about Wick and he is the only one that truly gets her. He's her guiding light in the shadows. I couldn't be more happier with the way their story ends. Maybe if we had a little more sexy time LOL I know all of my broken places now.
It used to be something I was ashamed of, but now it shows me what I want" The ending! As I was reading I couldn't help but keep track of my pages. It was thrilling right up till the final page where it ended with a bang. I was blown away. But I was also so happy. All I could do was grin because it fits so perfectly. Romily really blew me away with Trust Me. Make sure you don't miss out on it!! The title, Trust Me , is so perfect! It completely sums up every relationship, every moment and every choice in this book. Jan 16, Jaclyn rated it it was amazing Shelves: Let me just start by saying that Trust Me is one of the best conclusions to a series I have ever read. It was heart pounding, jaw dropping, edge of my seat awesome-sauce from beginning to end. So many series feel drawn out, and their conclusions leave too many things unsettled.
Trust Me is not one of those books. Now I'm not saying it ties everything up in a pretty little bow, because um excuse me but Wicked is too kick ass for that. If Wick goes down she does so swinging. One of my Let me just start by saying that Trust Me is one of the best conclusions to a series I have ever read. One of my favorite things about Romily's books is that the plot changes, the big bads get bigger and things keep moving. Same character, same world, new challenges.
So many books don't do that and they become boring and you feel like you're invested and so you have to finish it. Romily is smart enough to keep her characters growing, her plot moving and her readers guessing. Another thing I love about these books are the endlessly quotable lines. The dialogue is fast and witty and it makes me literally LOL sometimes. Trust Me picks up exactly where Remember Me leaves off. From there it is one wild ride. Plot twists and alliances change and shift, it kept me guessing.
I don't even want to give you an idea of what and who I'm talking about because I don't want to ruin the surprises. Just "Trust Me" like what i did there? I can't wait till you guys get to read this book. I can't believe i got to read this book.. Over the last few years I have developed a wonderful friendship with Romily that lives in the book universe. That means I am sometimes lucky to get to beta-read books before everyone else. Romily is such an amazing talent and I feel so lucky to have been able to feel like a part of Find Me's journey, no matter how small and insignificant it may have been.
She is truly a gifted writer and sweet girl and I can't wait to see what she will write next!!!! Nov 16, Anna Bubolz rated it really liked it. Personal Response I liked this book a lot. It was interesting the whole time and kept me on my toes. The one thing I did notice was that the author likes the word "leverage" a lot. Considering how an average teenager talks, using the same word over is definitely normal. Plot Wick, the computer hacker, comes home after solving a murder to find a man talking with her mom. The man, who was called Hank, wanted to take Wick to a special place for trouble teens that are computer geniuses.
After getting t Personal Response I liked this book a lot. After getting to the facility Wick was given jobs to improve hacking skills. But, before any jobs were given she needs to pass a test. The test was to hack into a medical device and turn it off and on as many times as Dr.
Nordstrom was Wick's counselor who just happened to be the owner of that organization. After passing the test and getting to do jobs that involve hacking there are scandalous things going on. Wick finds that she accidentally killed a judge by turning on and off his pacemaker when taking that "test", her father broke out of prison, and that her boyfriend Milo is Dr. To top all of her problems she learns that Dr. Nordstrom is running a scam and that Wick's dad took 11 million from her.
Wick finds a way to solve everything by turning herself in and with the help of Griff her used to be ex boyfriend. Recommendations I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading about scandalous things. This book would probably be for ages 14 to 24 because of mature content and how the book is written.
Aug 12, Sally Kilpatrick rated it it was amazing Shelves: I feel like I need to reread before I can give you the best review possible, so consider this a placeholder. Blessedly, rereading Romily Bernard never gets old because she just keeps getting better. Her prose and pacing fly gracefully, and I love Wick's special blend of snark. I'm normally not a big fan of the love triangle, but Bernard makes it work as Wick has to decide between fellow hacker Milo and bad boy with the heart of gold, Griff.
That last one sounds like a cliche. Okay, it kinda is a I feel like I need to reread before I can give you the best review possible, so consider this a placeholder. Okay, it kinda is a cliche, but Griff rises above my inability to word. Then there's Looking Glass which was quite a fun complication. If you like snark and suspense with a side of romance, then Trust Me is just the book for you. A wholly satisfying conclusion to a trilogy that might just make it to my favorites list. Wick is a fiery character you just can't help but love, despite the flaws that only make her human.
This book goes from the realm of small-town mystery to government conspiracy without even batting an eye, giving us readers both surprise and delight. Fast-paced, hold-your-breath, and just plain awesome - Trust Me is an incredible ending you won't want to miss. I feel like I waited a long time to read this - but happily it didn't disappoint! The connections between the books are shown and everything comes together to make sense. This book felt like it was more mystery than thriller to me but I still really enjoyed it!
I worried about how I would feel about Wick in this book considering she took such a dark turn in the second book. I have to say that she really redeemed herself in my eyes in this book. She didn't make a huge change in her personality or anything but she made the ult This is by far the best book of the Find Me trilogy! She didn't make a huge change in her personality or anything but she made the ultimate sacrifice in her eyes for the people that she loved. I was also a huge Griff fan in this book. He really showed what he was made of and was brave despite the fear that he felt for himself and Wick.
It was interesting for me to see the character growth in this book. There were a few characters that I found to be weak that surprised me with their strength in Trust Me. I did not see one of the main villains coming in this one but thankfully it all made sense. It felt good to know that the majority of my predictions were correct but the author did manage to fool me on the one villain.
I loved that I wasn't able to predict everything. Aug 02, Beth rated it liked it. In order to escape her demons she is going to have to trust somebody, but how can she.
This was a pretty good conclusion to the Wick Tate story. Wick is definite Rating: Wick is definitely the best part of the story, there are many twists, turns, chaos, and trust issues. Remember Me was a little frustrating as most sequels are but I found myself turning page after page with Trust Me.
Bernard does a great job at making the reader second guess every character, which is appropriate given the title is literally called Trust Me. I think this is the most suspenseful one out of the three. Really enjoyable and filled with twist after twist. May 13, Victoria rated it liked it. This was not my favorite of the three books but it wasn't all that bad. It was a decent wrap up to this trilogy. Wick Tate has had trust issues pretty much her entire life. She was raised by a father who was a con man and her mother was always afraid to stand up to him. The only good things that came from her crappy childhood are her amazing little sister and her ability to hack into computers. She is a very accomplished hacker and she has been able to use her talents to make her some extra cash she may need in the future. Then Wick is offered the chance of a lifetime.
Looking Glass is an organization that specializes in helping wayward children, who happen to have amazing computer skills work in a safe environment. They can use their abilities legally and start to build resumes that will eventually allow them to get good jobs doing something they are passionate about in the future. From the very first moment I met Wick I instantly adored her and my love for her has just grown through each book. She is obviously wicked smart and extremely resourceful, but she is also just a young girl trying to figure out how to live her life.
For years she was forced to work for her horrible father and in some ways that blurred the lines between right and wrong for her. It was interesting to see her outlook on life and how her experiences have shaped her as a person. She is actually a very compassionate person and she would do anything for the people she loves, but she also has a dark side to her personality. Milo is one of the love interests in the book and I really like him.
In many ways he is just like Wick but I felt like he had less guts then Wick. Deep down I believe he is a good person, but it was harder for him to stand up to others. He would rather take the easy route versus doing the right thing. His relationship with Wick was sweet and in many ways they were really cute together. But I felt like they had a slightly destructive relationship because they tended to bring out the worst in each other. Griff and Wick have known each other for a long time now. They grew up in the same neighborhood and have always been friends.
He came from nothing but he has built a life for himself and he just projects his all around goodness onto everyone he comes into contact with. His relationship with Wick is complicated but so amazing.
They also have great chemistry together. Trust Me is a suspenseful, action packed mystery that will keep you turning the pages until you are finished. I loved the first two books in this series and this one was just as good as its predecessors! The pacing was spot on, the plot was very intriguing and full of surprises. The romance was developed perfectly and totally swoon worthy. The mystery was gripping and definitely keeps you interested. The characters are loveable and easy to relate too!
As you can tell I have loved this entire series and I am so sad to see it come to an end, but thankfully Bernard did a wonderful job tying up all the loose ends. I really look forward to see what she comes out with next. If you are a mystery or thriller fan you MUST pick up this series. I guarantee you will love every minute of it! It would be a mistake because I could never trust him again.
HarperTeen provided me with a copy of Trust Me. Feb 28, Once Upon a Twilight rated it liked it. Wick Tate has been an idol since I've started this series. I love this girl to pieces. She's a hacker, a genius and the type of person that will do anything and everything to get herself out of trouble. Although she may be genius, she has her flaws. Even if these come in handy at times.
Sometimes her lack in trust is on point. Who would blame her? Wick was raised by a father who is a con man and had a very unhealthy childhood. From her early ages, her fa Wick Tate has been an idol since I've started this series.
