Join us for dinner on New Years Eve! Enjoy our menu as we welcome the new year! Delicious food and great service with a fun ambiance in the heart of downtown. The food and service were amazing. She made some great recommendations and always made sure to check on us often. My friends and I shared the red-braised pork belly and shrimp, pork, and crab dumplings to start. For our entrees, since everything is family style, we shared the Shaky shaky beef, bo kho sorry if I spelled that wrong stew, and pan fried e-fu noodles.
I had heard great things about this little gem and it did not disappoint. My friends and I were also impressed by the music playlist that was playing in the restaurant it reminded us of throwback days haha. Not sure whose playlist that was but we loved it. Thank you for a great evening, Little Sister! I love this place and usually the food is spectacular but the last two visits have been little disappointing.
Vietnamese crepe was burnt and was not crispy as it should have been. Yesterday's visit, had the crepe again and it wasnt burnt but inside did not seem fully cooked. My one dish I have to order is the papaya salad. Always always delicious except yesterday.
Papaya wasnt ripe so the salad was pretty blend. It needed more fish sauce and other condiment to offset the lack of taste from the papayas. Didnt have enough jerky or the dry shrimp.
As always, incredible food and incredible service!! Such a dynamic atmosphere. Our apologies to Lily, we had a bit to much to drink, forgive us. Sunday night - they were out of at least one third of their menu offerings. They were out of some of their wine selections by the glass. They proved to be out of my favorite dessert.
The vintage 50's wiring preserves the clarity of the tone. Retrieved 27 October And my dining companion is strictly pescatarian. Keep track of everything you watch; tell your friends. They proved to be out of my favorite dessert. Lessons From a Calf However Season 4 Doctor Who:
And my dining companion is strictly pescatarian. And yet, and this is the good part, dinner was delicious and appropriately nuanced for my non-meat eating friend and we found a great wine by the glass and the alternative dessert was pretty good. So it was something of an odd restaurant experience for a popular place, recently deemed one of the Favorites of the LA TImes, to have a nervous waiter and a menu of deleted items that night, but it all worked out. I will be returning with some omnivore eaters in hopes of a full menu but Little Sister is, despite flaws, one of the tastiest spots Downtown.
Haven't visited the other outposts but I suspect that they are also delicious. The food was very flavorful and well worth a visit but wine is for overpriced for no reason. Always an amazing experience.
Has become my favorite restaurant in downtown LA. Food is flavorful and a amazing. Normally I would be upset when a restaurant says they are out of certain options.
Manhattan Beach. Manhattan Ave. Manhattan Beach, CA () DTLA. W 7th St. Los Angeles, CA () Redondo. Directed by Zach Clark. With Addison Timlin, Ally Sheedy, Keith Poulson, Peter Hedges. Young nun Colleen is avoiding all contact from her family, returning to.
Our first visit here-we had heard about it and wanted to give it a try prior to an early theater performance downtown. The food was outstanding-unusually tasty and original Vietnamese dishes-we shared them all, each was outstanding. We will definitely return. Second time we have been here.
Food and service is amazing! The hostess was extremely rude, made patrons wait outside the restaurant when it was raining although they could be accommodated inside the restaurant, that was downright inhospitable! I really enjoyed the food and ambiance of the restaurant. However, the service was pretty poor.
I had to try very hard to get the attention of our waiter and when it came time for the check, we sat for about 20 min after we finished our food without anyone checking in on us until eventually I just got up and gave the hostess my credit card so that we could pay and leave. Except for poor service, the food was delicious! Great food as always. Great blend of East and West. I love a good Asian Fusion food.
Curry okra was so delicious, and I always go for the sea bass. The food and service are excellent, worth the trip! We were excited to try Little Sister after hearing rave reviews from a friend, but sadly the food fell way short of expectations. The crispy-skined fish lettuce wraps were the best dish of the night, but not enough of a highlight to make us want to come back. We were supposed to have dined here for the first time a couple months ago with DTLA based friends who highly recommended Little Sister. Add to the well written screenplay a cast that seems catered to this cadence and the result is a family that is almost too familiar for comfort.
What really makes Little Sister work-what makes it such a refreshing joy-is the script. This is a forgiving film. Little Sister is an indie family drama about change and reconciliation, but it's instilled with a poignant regard for the moment, too. There are no featured audience reviews yet.

Addison Timlin as Colleen Lunsford. I took it pretty seriously.

Katie Rife of The A. Club gave the film a B, saying it was, "a slight, sweetly cynical indie dramedy about family and belonging and the ways we cope with life's disappointments.
