Jun 03, sweet rated it did not like it. It hurts me to give this book such a low rating. I enjoyed the hell out of the first book in the series. However, this series is exactly why authors shouldn't be writing trilogies all the time.
The story was so convoluted I can't even tell you what happened. This is a shame bc the story of the first book was fine and it should have ended there. The characters became different and acted in ways that ruined them for me. The whole connection btw the stalker and the H was beyond ridiculous.
I have n It hurts me to give this book such a low rating. I have not given up on this author and will try her next book. Jun 11, Elle rated it it was amazing. In the third and final installment of the Learning Series, Cynthia has completed a masterfully written love story with more trials and tribulations of fighting for what is truly important in life.

Laurel and Garret have struggle with opening up their hearts and learning to let go, accept love, and heal in the process. Laurel struggles with trying to accept all that has happened in a short period of time; meeting the love of her life, getting engaged, having diabetes, being pregnant, and now the ex, Chase, not only coming after her, but Garret as well. Garret always thought that he was to blame for losing not only his parents but his aunt, the only guardian left to care for him.
Finally finding out the truth to his parent's and aunt's death sends Garret into protective mode because they are now after Laurel and his unborn child. He will do anything to protect her from the mad man and Chase even if that means never allowing her out of his sight. Understanding the situation, Laurel willingly agrees. She just wants this all over so they can have a peaceful life, but the Peterson's have a different agenda. Will Garrett be able to save the one person who has his heart and soul?
Will they be able to have the peace they both deserve without outside forces fighting against them? I'm the author, so I'm kind of biased toward the story. There's so much I wanted to be able to say in regards to Garrett and Laurel, but I got right to the point and let things run their course. There's more suspense, some that you'd never see coming, that's were little "Aha" moments happened, and I tried to amp up the romantic scenes a tad. It was time to see just how much heat these two could create. I'm happy with how the book ended and will greatly miss writing about them. They have dominate I'm the author, so I'm kind of biased toward the story.
They have dominated my dreams for the past year and thanks to Garrett's controlling nature, he still does! I so want to be able to state a few things about the book, but I'd give away too many secrets. There are surprises around every corner, along with some heart pounding, and seriously romantic moments. I just hope I've done the book justice. While this is the last book in the trilogy, it doesn't mean it will be the last you ever see of this group of family and friends. But, now I have my focus on a new alpha, as a new story begins to unfold. Aug 21, Twin Opinions rated it it was amazing.
This series gets better with each book. Wow, did I love this.
The suspense in this book nearly killed me. I was so on edge the whole time and I loved every moment. I read this from start to finish and could not put it down. I love Garrett and Laurel is so strong. I found this to be the best book because to me, even with more suspense and drama, I connected and lost myself completely in these characters. I kept turning them pages dying to know what happens. The ending is perfect and I really hope every reader out there picks up this series. First thing you need to know is that this book is not a stand alone.
You need to read the other two books in the series before you begin this one in order to enjoy it fully. This book is more intense than the other two. It kept me from being able to put it down until I was completely finished. There are so many things that happen that I just didn't expect.
I spent the entire time reading trying to either 1 figure out what Chase was going to do next, 2 trying to put the pieces of Garrett's past First thing you need to know is that this book is not a stand alone. I spent the entire time reading trying to either 1 figure out what Chase was going to do next, 2 trying to put the pieces of Garrett's past together, and 3 hoping that everything would finally work out for Laurel and Garrett.
Laurel frustrated me more in this book. I can't imagine being in her shoes, she's pregnant and knows that her ex is after not only her, but Garrett as well. She makes some pretty stupid mistakes in my book. Putting herself in danger more than she should have. Then again, that added to the intensity of the story. Overall, I really enjoyed this series from beginning to end. I could not put it down. Constance combines great romance with sumptuous history and adventure.
