Parable Poetry
I must have been, I am alive and I am old. And there, the acid message burned through my sckull and I played something like Russian Roulette, with a character named Ken Kingman, who grinned like a devil. All this in my mind. Where were we then, we Googled men? We friends on the grid? Airborne, All the way, ah, we sang that cadence in our dreams, even after we got the joke.
But we was always only me, we are imaginary, in my mind, extensive, albeit, still mine. No, you could not have known, that was just me, the meek little me speaks, peeking beneath the banner over me. You never crossed my mind.

Apr 23, Stacy rated it liked it. Parable Poems is a book of poetry for children based on the parables of Jesus. They were good-- clever and even humorous, but there were a few that it seemed the poet either was trying too hard or was rushed as a few verses in a few poems didn't rhyme or were out of meter or pattern. I did like the concept of the book and do think children would enjoy it, but would like to see those few corrected and maybe some illustrations for children added. A new take on an old theme. The truths of the parable is absolutely preserved, nothing ignored or watered down, but the re-write into poetry give it fresh life, a 'sit up and take notice' sort of thing.

This is a collection of 37 poems based on the parables of Jesus. They are presented in chronological order, and they each cite the Bible verses that they are gleaned from in case anybody cares to look them up, which I found useful.
And he spoke often to the passersby, questioning them about their city—but they understood not his language, nor he their language. And the prophet was young, and bold of spirit. Frankly, this book was not what I was expecting.
