NeNe Capri spent the first 18 years of her life without her father who was serving a life sentence for murder, raised on the ill streets of North Jersey by a mother and grandmother in Wilson Place and Mechanic St.

Being heavily influenced by her surroundings she went head first into the streets. Everythign that she shuld have ran from she instead ran head first into. Her grandmother Sarah tried to keep her engaged in activities such as volunteering with the elderly, modeling, dance, art and acting also active in all church functions and events. However, when NeNe reached twelve years of age she put down all her child like desires and slipped into a pair or grown woman heels she was not prepared to fill. After returning from Job corps the summer of where she had fled in an attempt to try at a better life only to get home sick after eight months and return home to find her grandmother's health had progressed towards early demetia.

To deal with the pain NeNe would spend every hour of the day running the streets smoking and drinking to deal with the pain of the only woman who every loved her completely and whose world she rested at the center of, now, at times could not remember her face. Once her grandmother passed January the only crutch she would have to get through the depression that followed would be alcohol.

Being a 16 year old high school dropout with very little work experience she picked up on the neighborhood trades which only pushed her further into the streets and spun her totally out of control. It would be many brushes with death that would present a fork in the road and provide an opportunity for change. At 18, she met a mentor who quickly placed her under her wing relocated her to Georgia and put her on the road to success. In another life changing event would again put NeNe at a very beautiful yet critical stage of life. The birth of her Princess which would be the catalyst she needed to get to the next level.

With the support of NeNe's mom Birdie she went back to school got her G. D and then an A. S degree in Legal studies then on to attend Temple University to also add a B. Trenton Chapter, teaching and mentoring female and male inmates, preparing them for what awaits them on the other side of the wall. Also works with, deters and redirects our youth to become productive members of society.

Sometimes the cards are dealt before a person is ever conceived. Such was the case with Kiam, a young man who grew up in the gritty streets of Cleveland. Even at a young age, he was a hard cat who took no prisoners.

He was all about that life and not afraid to do what it took to maintain his status and rise in the ranks of urban street life. Then he caught a bid. Being the soldier that he was, he did what he had to do without complaint. As fate would have it, he was taken under his wing by Big Z Sometimes the cards are dealt before a person is ever conceived. As fate would have it, he was taken under his wing by Big Zo, an older street king serving a life sentence.

Not even bars and barb wire could keep Big Zo from running things in the streets, as his reach and influence went just that far. Through Kiam, Big Zo saw an opportunity to maintain his throne and thus began training him to take over. She has paid a high price to be the daughter of a street king. So did her girls Bayonna, Treebie and Donella — each with their own story and secrets to tell.

Things were about to get hot! The only question remaining was who would ride or who would die as the inevitable changes were made.

Once you start reading you will NOT put this book down This book was right on time.

I couldn't get into a book for nothing then I seen them talking about this book and said that book look good. Kiam wasn't nothing to play with. The Love that him and Faydrah share was so special that you could feel it through the pages of the book. This book will stop any reader's block that you ever had. Getting ready to read Part 2.

This was a good series. The characters were fairly developed and the plot moved along at a good pace. I listened to all 3 books in the space of a week. The plot became visible in book 2 and you had an inkling of the "traitor s as well. I guessed 2 of the 3 surprises. I don't want to go into too much detail and give away what happens.

The series was entertaining and Kiam, Juju and the twins were favorites. Jul 27, Jacqueline O. Allen rated it liked it. Interesting This is not one of Cash's best but it was above average. I read this book years ago but never continued with parts 2 and 3. However, I have purchased them.

I'm anxious to find out how Kiam's bad azz manages these problems and how he deals with the traitor. Will his relationship with Eyes continue or will he break his word and mess with LIssah. What's up with the editing It should be understood. The error is through out the book. Everybody want to flex they muscles, its not room enough for everyone so I just sat back and watch who was going to fall off.

The book definitely left you with a cliffhanger, so I'm looking forward to the next installment so I can see who next to get chopped! Dec 09, April Freeman rated it it was amazing. Kiam was a straight killer that was on a mission. Upon leaving penitentiary Kiam promise his mentor that he would handle some of his unfinished business on the streets. So Trust No Bitch gave me energy from the first page to the last page. Cannot wait to read part 2.

The type of power that he gained in a short period of time was amazing! Hopefully his team will continue in back him up in part 2.
