Mike Richman, Trail Blazers Reporter: This one was a probably a little closer than the Blazers wanted it to be. But you take a win over a very good team any way you can get it. Tip-off is set for 7: The Blazers looked good for three quarters, but the Rockets turned the game on its head in the fourth. This game truly felt like a winnable game that the Blazers let get away.
Blazers fail to find third scorer, fall to the Rockets. Dame and CJ taking more than half of Portland's shots. They needed more from Nurkic tonight as I write this. The Trail Blazers starters had a hot start offensively and were able to slow down the Rockets, especially from three early in the game.
But, like we've seen lately the Trail Blazers bench was not able to sustain the offense or defense when called upon. Portland's second unit was outscored, and that made a big difference. Peter Socotch, Producer on the Road: And in a close game to start the fourth, a time the backcourt usually starts on the bench, Houston jumped out to a double-digit lead. The 2nd unit that was once hailed for their efficiency has all but disappeared. They need to find themselves, and fast. The Blazers get right back at it on Tuesday when they take on the Grizzlies.
Tip-off is set for 5: Watch the video above to get Haberstroh's take on whether the Blazers are still legit contenders in the West. Here are its actions in order:.
At the same time the baseline wing is getting a screen on the other side of the floor in the mid-post so he can try to pop up to the arc and work himself free. At its simplest, a pass will be made by the point guard to one of the two wings coming off of their respective screens to get some kind of scoring opportunity.
It was real sore. But I got a little workout in and I felt good moving around.
Lillard sat out all of practice on Tuesday, but went through a workout and shooting routine afterwards. When the media was let into practice, he was wearing a compression sleeve on his right knee while going through a three-point shooting session with Wade Baldwin and Evan Turner. Despite the crashing to the court in the opening minutes of the first quarter on Sunday, Lillard stayed in the game and played 35 minutes.
The Blazers will have a shootaround Wednesday morning and Lillard, who is officially listed on the injury report as probable, plans to go through his full warm up routine on Wednesday evening before making a final decision on his availability to play against the Lakers. Only three of the six teams are above.
The Blazers are leaving town playing their best basketball and will get to show if their game travels across three time zones and six cities. The second unit has kind of built an identity. Dame and CJ have had good games.
Chief made big shots. Lillard said it's mostly just discomfort. He'll go through a workout tomorrow before the game and then decide on his availability. He's officially listed as 'probable'.
Lillard popped up immediately following the incident during the first quarter on Sunday, but he was later seen limping as he exited the Moda Center that evening. Aug 20, Logan England rated it did not like it. I have to admit this is one of the few books I have ever quit reading more than halfway through. Having just lost a child to a rare genetic disorder earlier this year, when I got to the part where disease and sickness are blamed on negative karmic energy building up in the blood, I wanted to get up and burn the book immediately. Instead I threw it in the trash. A good read, although somewhat of a letdown based on the blurb.
I was expecting something different. Dec 25, Kitty rated it it was ok Shelves: I am such a Richard Matheson fan that I just had to read it. Of course, this is nothing like his fiction I just couldn't get into it.
