The most important are the inability to enter your house without an invitation so you are "safe" at home and the inability to be out in sunlight so you can explore open areas, farm, and forage during the day. You could be chilling in your house when boom, a bunch of zombies stumble in and eat you.

Now, this is all true assuming an "apocalypse" situation where society has broken down and you are either on your own or with a very small group of people. If there is even some civilization left, however, then the zombie universe is better. This is because with enough people or so , you can fortify a compound, use division of labor to assign people to farm or forage, while others patrol and defend, and you can have a functioning society.
