She is pretty kick ass. And their chemistry is smokin'. Jan 01, Heather K dentist in my spare time marked it as to-read Shelves: Jan 01, Jena Crawford rated it really liked it. It was a good read kinda slow though. It was also very short you can tell after the book was done it really should have had the two as one.
I'll give it a reread just to make sure that I didn't miss anything I am pretty hung over so maybe that is why I wasn't all into it Okay I reread it and yes, a hang over and reading don't mix well lol not to slow at all but I still stand by the two books should have been one hahaha. Dec 22, Christina rated it really liked it Shelves: This was very different for me.
I am rating this somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. I feel that book had so much potential, I was hoping for more, but it fell a little flat for me. I don't want to discourage people from reading this. I did enjoy it. But, I just wanted This first book in the series, was just leading up to Issy and Lucas meeting. It's is actually a short story or novella. So this first book is them meeting and leading up to their affair.
British slang in a book set in NYC Once Lucas was "revealed" it picked up - can't wait to see what happens in book 2. I also want to know more about him, what has happened to him to make him want to ward off all women? Perfect for fans of hot romance series, J. Gotta get book 2. No trivia or quizzes yet.
So having said that, I still wanted This was very different for me. So having said that, I still wanted more. Here's hoping the next book brings it on! Jan 05, Becs rated it really liked it Shelves: I'm a bit of a loss on how to start this review I was completely enthralled by this story, I enjoyed getting to know Issy and Angel. Loved the interactions between all of the band mates with them too I wanted to know more about Issy, there's a tragedy behind her.
How did her parents die? Seems like it may have been sudden? He oozes sex appeal without even trying. Hell he tries not to! He's attracted to Iss I'm a bit of a loss on how to start this review He's attracted to Issy and cannot control his bodies reaction to her, and that pisses him right off. He likes control and consistency in his life.
I also want to know more about him, what has happened to him to make him want to ward off all women? The only down side I had with this book, was the sudden cut off. I haven't gotten to Part 2 just yet, but I think it probably should have been one whole book instead of 2. It's like Part 1 was introductions to characters, getting to know them, watching the "mating dance" and then just when things are progressing between Issy and Lucas that the end. It's actually that only reason I didn't give 5 stars. I'm going to start Part 2 now..
Jan 15, Belkis rated it liked it. The was a fun and easy read. It wasn't fantastic but enjoyable all the same. The characters were not truly developed as the book is rather short and will continue onto a second part which I hope will continue to layer the characters' personalities and give them some much needed dimension.
The story was nothing really new. It's been done and quite frankly been done much much better, in this particular case the best comparable example would be Bared to You. The main characters in this story are Iz The was a fun and easy read.
Still, this story was nice enough. Could benefit from a bit more editing as well as it is plagued with quite a few annoying typos. Will read book two since the ending of book one although not exactly a cliff hanger, does leave off at a very exciting part. Onto book two then. Dec 23, Didi rated it really liked it Shelves: Another billionaire Alpha male you say? As is the usual recipe for these type of books, I found this one a bit different because the female lead isn't into relationships or commitment--weird huh? But I sense because of her past which is yet to be revealed fully, she suppresses her want of a steady man.
The story was good though! It is a novella and before I knew it I was done: Izzy or Isobella, new to her Another billionaire Alpha male you say? Izzy or Isobella, new to her own business in the Orion building runs into the reclusive billionaire and owner of the Orion, Lucas Hunter.
Their story is intriguing and actually doesn't get physical till the end and into book two, The Hunted. Lucas is mouth-watering and his torment over his feelings for Izzy is heartfelt. I am devouring this series and can't wait for more!! Dec 31, Clarisse Martinez rated it it was amazing. Let me just start with saying I so loved Issy!! She's a strong minded woman who can have casual one night stands with out all the fuss of a relationship.
That's what caught my attention in this story, every other story out there is about the men being the casual one and the woman chasing them. But not Issy she lives her life by her rules until she slams into Lucas literally slams and then she just cant stop thinking of him. Is he real or just a figment of her imagination and what an imaginati Let me just start with saying I so loved Issy!! Is he real or just a figment of her imagination and what an imagination she has But when she finally confirms that he's real and oh so sexy she stops at nothing to have him in her bed!!
Book 2 The Hunted is a definite must read to continue the hotness of Issy and Lucas. Dec 28, Kathryn rated it it was amazing. She on a man ban and only does one night stands. The owner of the building Izzy rents is a mysterious man and never seen in public with anyone.
Then Izzy accidentally bumps into him on a weekend and she can get him out of her mind. She thinks she see him in the lift but he disappears like a ghost.
When Izzy comes back to her office she finds flowers on her desk and no one know how they got there. Even the conceit not signed for them. Good but too short a story. Dec 29, Rosanna rated it really liked it. I really liked this book. Lucas Hunter is dark, mysterious, sexy, intense and has a bit of a temper. All things I love in an Alfa male. Issy is a strong heroine, she's got some backbone which I like but I also like how she gets all goo-goo eyed for Lucas. I'm curious to see how there story plays out. The only thing that kinda threw me off was when issy was thinking to herself, she would go from speaking from the 1st person to the 2nd.
It just kinda threw me off a bit. There's a good story brewin I really liked this book. There's a good story brewing here and I'm glad book two is out. I'm all over that now ; Worried about this one at the beginning of the book. Once Lucas was "revealed" it picked up - can't wait to see what happens in book 2. Lucas has not worked his way onto my book boyfriends list just yet. Need to see what he has going on. Jan 17, Mellonie rated it it was amazing. Fab book hook straight away read I one night couldn't put it down not even to sleep great story and characters.
Jan 01, Swilliams rated it it was amazing. Things were just heating up. Gotta get book 2. He's getting closer to his prey. She's about to be devoured in a really good way. Jan 16, Olivia Dibert rated it really liked it. I can't wait to read the next one. I read this book in three hours. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
And from the beginning this book had me hooked!!! Jan 02, Katherine rated it really liked it. I liked it a lot but it was too short. Hope the next one is better!

I also love to envisage real life and fantasy and look for this in a story and think what I am reading might actually happen. I love romance and I love dominant, alpha males.
So when a book has been reviewed and has been given 5 stars I have great expectations from what the reviewer says and hope it is as good as they say. The synopsis is misleading to start with. It says that it is perfect for the fans of 50 Shades that book again and the Crossfire series.
It also says that this new serialized novel begins with a sizzling first episode. So let me make it clear. It's surface is thousands of degrees hotter, however, so it shines blue-white. That high temperature means that Rigel also pumps out a lot of ultraviolet energy, which produces sunburn and other problems. When you add up the ultraviolet, visible light, and other wavelengths, Rigel shines tens of thousands of times brighter than the Sun. With so much energy streaming its way, a planet would need to be billions of miles away from Rigel to be a safe abode for life, and it would need a thick ozone layer to screen out the ultraviolet.
Even then, such a planet wouldn't be a good long-term home. In a few million years, Rigel, too, is likely to blast itself to bits as a supernova. The energy and shock wave would make quick work of life on any world around it.
Near the center of Orion's prominent rectangle, look for a short diagonal line of three stars that forms Orion's Belt. And extending south from the belt, you'll see another, fainter line of stars that forms Orion's Sword.
It's M42, the Orion Nebula, which is a cloud of gas and dust that's like a giant fluorescent bulb. M42 is part of a giant complex of clouds of interstellar gas and dust. Pockets of this material are collapsing to give birth to new stars. Hubble Space Telescope images reveal about 3, stars in the Orion Nebula alone, some of which could be as little as 10, years old. The visible nebula is a bubble of turbulent gas that is energized by the Trapezium, a cluster of hot, bright stars at its center.
Ultraviolet energy from the stars strips electrons from atoms in the nebula. When the electrons link up with new atoms, the atoms emit light.
