Instead she chooses to go on tangents about why can't we be more tolerant as a society, a nostalgic wish to return to mother goddess religions, matriarch systems and that everyone should be more androgenous in their personality traits. I honestly don't have any beef with the following topics, and wouldn't mind some equal yang to my yin or is it yin to my yang? Anyway my problem is I would have enjoyed this book more if the author stayed on the subject origions of holidays and their customs.

Anyway my problem is I would have enjoyed this book more if the author stayed on the subject origions of holidays and their customs. Anyway my problem is when I am reading a book about holidays I want it to be about holidays. That aside when she does write about holidays, it is very insightful and well done. Some of the stuff she went on about you had no idea what it had to actually do with the holiday until pages later. It seemed as though she had too much detail in some areas and not enough in others.
