Redwood Pack, Book 6. Using her knowledge and research, she helped save the Redwood Pack from devastation. Not since she lost her mate so long ago. Now there is a new, younger wolf, entering her life and it will take more than her nose in a book to figure out the warmth in her heart is much more than a promise of a new feeling. Pursued by a shapeshifting stalker and his slobbering pack of killer coyotes, she is forced to flee her job as a librarian to find sanctuary in the wooded hills of Alpha, Washington. Marcus is a pack enforcer who oozes power, but Roni is lethal in her own right—nothing like the flirty females who flock around him. Cook rated it liked it Shelves: Secondary characters more interesting than main characters.
Dec 23, Amelia marked it as dnf Shelves: I'm going to give the author the benefit of the doubt and not rate Wolf Curves as, although the scene-setting and characterisation feel rather flat to me, I don't feel I've read enough to make a fair assessment.
I could tell almost straight away that the writing wasn't for me. We're thrown into the story very abruptly. A woman gets into a lift with her laundry and suddenly there are werewolves and everyone is going on about how horny they are. Not my cup of tea at all. I was amused and bemused by I'm going to give the author the benefit of the doubt and not rate Wolf Curves as, although the scene-setting and characterisation feel rather flat to me, I don't feel I've read enough to make a fair assessment.
I was amused and bemused by this review though. Troll or not troll? That is the question. Both Leah and Seth are decent enough characters and the story was good but it had some points that didn't really make sense for me and took down my overall enjoyment. Leah lives in an apartment building and is doing laundry when she encounters a man whose very scent turns her on.
She's rather freaked out when he seems overly interested in her she's a BBW and doesn't take his interest seriously. Leah freaks out even more when the man goes slightly feral and 2. Leah freaks out even more when the man goes slightly feral and starts to grow fangs. Seth is the Alpha of the local pack and never expected to have his mating instinct kick in for what appears to be a human and she saw him change so he's got to do something. What comes of this is Leah spending time with the pack but things are rather hot and cold between Seth and Leah.
There's drama that causes a split between Leah and Seth just when things seem to be going well but some unexpected danger brings Leah and Seth back together and they reconcile and start their HEA together. This was a decent story. I liked Leah and Seth but didn't always understand their actions. I liked the story but some points that made me suspend disbelief a bit much kept me from being able to rate it higher.
Still, it was a freebie so I wont complain as it was an alright way to spend an hour or 2. May 11, Laura rated it it was amazing. I don't read a lot of paranormal novels but read this one in a box set of this authors work which is currently free An Alpha's Need. Leah Howard doesn't believe in werewolves, even if she dreams of shifting.
Pack alpha Seth Gladwin can't understand why a human female is ringing all his mating bells. When Seth chases Leah down in her apartment building and partially shifts in front of her, he wants nothing more than a forgetting spell placed on the plus-size beauty so he can continue investigatin I don't read a lot of paranormal novels but read this one in a box set of this authors work which is currently free An Alpha's Need. Leah then learns she's a 'Latent' a Shifter who can't shift and that she has triggered Seth's mating scent. Leah is curvy and so doesn't think Seth would be interested in her if it wasn't for the mating scent but he soon proves her wrong.
This author writes erotica but I found the love scenes in this book less erotic and more romantic. I loved Seth, he's pure alpha male. I loved the sexy things he said to Leah and how he wants to protect her. This is a short story but there are two other books in this series about the other Shifters featured in this book so I'm hoping we see more of Leah and Seth in the next book which is about Dana and Esme. I like this authors writing style and in this book she surprised me with her more romantic side and a well written alpha male.
Jul 04, Deborah rated it liked it. Leah Howard is a latent, a werewolf that doesn't shift, since she's no idea that she's anything other than human you can imagine it's a bit of a shock and then wow Now Leah is a curvy girl and can't believe Seth wants her for her, on top of this there's a hunter going round wiping out the latents. I knew from the blurb this was the type of book I love and there was a good book with good characters in there but for me it was spoilt by Leah Howard is a latent, a werewolf that doesn't shift, since she's no idea that she's anything other than human you can imagine it's a bit of a shock and then wow I knew from the blurb this was the type of book I love and there was a good book with good characters in there but for me it was spoilt by Leah, yes it's a lot to take in, a bit of a shock and everything but I'm sorry how many bad decisions can one girl make, I understand her reluctance at first but once Seth was fabulous, I loved him, so if you're more tolerant than me and like shifter books this could well be the book for you on the plus side it's free as well.
Jan 07, B. Love rated it really liked it. On her way to her apartment Leah see's Seth while on the elevator and is drawn to him, but she is shocked when he starts smelling her and won't let her leave the elevator till she tells him her name. Terrified Leah runs only to be caught by Seth and after Seth places a hand on her she blacks out.
After Leah comes too she is soon told the world she thought she lives in doesn't exist and tha This is my first PR by Christa Wick and I have to say I think I like it more than her contemporary romance. After Leah comes too she is soon told the world she thought she lives in doesn't exist and that Seth is a werewolf and her mate. I loved Seth he was Crazy possessive and jealous once he saw Leah and wouldn't let anything including Leah's fear stand in his way.
This is a great short erotic werewolf romance that I recommend if anyone in the mood for a quick hot read. View all 6 comments.
Jul 08, Jessica rated it it was ok. Unfortunately I have to say I really wasn't impressed with this book. The concept could have been executed much more effectively. Woman falls into immediate lust with man but is insecure with herself which because of the repetition took away from the story rather than reinforcing her hesitation. Woman turns out to have werewolf blood too and that makes her magical as well.
FF through getting to know the supporting characters literally. It felt completely rushed.
If you want to classify this under Erotica then it maybe holds up better because the sex scenes were the parts the author got much more detailed and thorough. As a romance story, falls significantly short. It didn't really hold my interested since the story kept talking about another couple. I know the other couple will have their own story, but I felt that part of their story infringed on Seth's and Leah's story. I usually love Christa Wick books I think this is the lowest rating she's gotten from me: Jul 20, Kimberly Walter rated it it was amazing.

I would have rated this book higher if it hadn't had a non-consensual sex scene in it. I'm sick and tired of rape being played off as the female character really wanted it and gave in. Jul 05, Marsha rated it liked it. First let me say whether this is your genre or not, I applaud Ms. Wick because she is one of the few author who has given curvy girls a voice.
Most of the books on the market promote the singular idea that beautiful, sexy woman are thin and petite.

Not so in "Wolf Curves" and I for one say, "It's about time! Then when she looks into his eyes she has to call upon all the willpower she can muster to ignore the sexual tension radiating from her body. When Seth smells the incredible scent radiating from Leah he is sure of one thing, she is his mate and he must have her in his bed. However, his friend, Dana is wise enough to realize that Leah is frightened and until he can calm Seth downhe will not be able to figure out what is going on between the two of them.
So, after Leah faints and they manage to get her into her apartment, he calls Esme, the with in their pack to assist them. This is a really quick read with about one third of the book involving sex. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining too much I just wish the author had taken more time for world building and characterizations. I enjoyed this story especially when the female lead is a curvy girl.
However, I doubt that I would want to read book after book with so much sex and insufficient substance. Therefore, I doubt that I will be going on to read the next book in this series. Feb 16, Micol rated it it was ok Shelves: The ending was terrible. Jan 20, Joshua Distance rated it did not like it. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
God designed human beings to mate with other human beings except those of the same sex. This is clearly demonstrated in the complex geometric congruence of our genitals. Sure, animals have holes too, but just because you can bang a puppy or goat or, god forb Leviticus Sure, animals have holes too, but just because you can bang a puppy or goat or, god forbid, a porcupine, does that mean you should?? Here is what the bible has to say about this unholy blight on humanity:
