Ok I love characters like CK and believe me, we will stick to the abbreviations. CK is a believable character because she gets so caught up in the business world, she neglects her life.
Her grandfather informs her that he is tired of waiting for her to settle down and give him some grand-children. So he gives her an allotted amount of time to find a husband, which ends up being roughly about a month Her best friend Ryan is her complete opposite and has a different w Ok I love characters like CK and believe me, we will stick to the abbreviations.
Her best friend Ryan is her complete opposite and has a different woman with him every week. He is the perfect person to teach her the ways of seduction. But will CK end up falling for the teacher? CK has been Ryan's best friend since college. She was the one woman he could be around and wanted to be around for long amounts of time. He stayed in the states just because she needed his help re-shaping the company.
He had put his own dreams on hold to help her realize hers. But her latest proposal was ridiculous. CK deserved better than a marriage of convenience. She needed passion and understanding. Reluctantly, Ryan agrees to this and tries to scare her off of her mission with scary clothes and awkward situations. But in the end, will the teacher become the student? This was an incredibly cute story. I thoroughly enjoyed CK's character, even though I would have liked to pop Ryan a few times.
He had a lot of soul-searching to do. In the end they both had to chase away some demons and admit they had been living in denial. Sometimes it takes the help of 4 of your best buddies from college to steer you on the right path. Ryan sure did need the help!!
Sep 03, Jo Ann rated it it was amazing. Either she marries within a month and produces an heir within a year or she is disinherited and the family loses the Kazner empire. As the only heir, CK had taken the reins of the family business to expand and promote it and concentrated on running the company, not running after men.
When she realizes her grandfather has the upper hand, she enlists Ryan Anderson, her college friend, trusted employee and well-known playboy, to help her find a husband. She becomes fully awake to sensuality and her ability to evoke it in men. Readers admire young, independent and determined CK for her wit and gutsy decisions.

CK herself comes to realize that romance can be fostered and nurtured. It is a part of being human. This book is good for those couple of hours that you just want to be by yourself and relax with a book. It's a nice love story that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy at the end. The book is about a hard working CEO named CK you eventually find out her real name, which none of the other characters know about who finds out from her eccentric and that's using the term mildly grandfather that she has to get married in a month or else forfeit the family business. She enlists the help of her ho This book is good for those couple of hours that you just want to be by yourself and relax with a book.
She enlists the help of her hot, ladies man best friend Ryan to educate her on how to attract the opposite sex. Eventually each person comes to their realization that there is something more beyond friendship between the two of them. I know the storyline sounds cliche, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the book is bad. It has its own charisma that draws you in.
It's well written with characters that are likeable, such as Steve, who at first seems very uptight but eventually you see him as a caring and lonely guy carrying a secret from his own grandfather; there are also Ryan's college friends who are each quirky in their own ways and reading how they interact with each other including Ryan is very entertaining.
If you're looking for a deep, meaningful story about true love and relationships this book probably isn't what you're looking for. This is a book where you can relax with and enjoy the love story that develops. It's sweet and cute and will meet your craving for a fluffy short love story. Jun 11, Niina rated it it was amazing Shelves: First I got to say I love the covers on both of these, they are flirty, fun and suit the books to a tee!
Just what you'd expect from a chick-lit novels! The plot was fresh and funny, I absolutely loved how when CK started morphing into a sexy temptress Ryan found himself more and more jealous of other men's attention on her. Instructing an Heiress is makeover story that has laughs, sexual temptation and a love story mixed so well that the novel is a great reading experience.
I rooted for Ryan to First I got to say I love the covers on both of these, they are flirty, fun and suit the books to a tee! I rooted for Ryan to see CK differently, to fall for her. The romance was hot, tempting and funny with both parties clueless to the other's feelings. I love makeover stories and especially the hot best friend suddenly finding the mousy girl attractive, it's all kinds of yummy! This story was short but it was packed full of sexual tension, seduction and emotions.
Teel's writing is easy to read, it's smooth, funny and witty and this pages is quickly read and leaves the reader happy and wanting more! Jun 20, Kari rated it really liked it Shelves: Instructing an Heiress was a fun read. This is one of the types of romances that I love. Two people have been friends forever and finally realize that they are made for each other. I loved CK and Ryan together. Ryan is such a player, but CK has been the one constant in his life. She is his best friend. When CK learns she must marry or risk losing her company, she asks Ryan to teach her how to attract a man.
What follows are some very funny scenes. I loved Ryan's friends. They can truly see what Instructing an Heiress was a fun read. They can truly see what he refuses to see. He is in love with his best friend but is afraid to accept it.
They are some very intriguing characters and I hope Ms. Teel will write books about them. I would love to delve into Ajax a lot more! May 30, Julianna rated it really liked it. Was a great short read, Ryan made an ass of himself, but redeamed himself in the end and CK was a strong business minded woman who wasn't totally ridiculous when it came to men.
Would probably read it again it i just wanted something short and cute. Instructing an Heiress by Judy Teel is a short story that is typical of most novellas.
It was a perfectly fine read, but unfortunately there was nothing to hook you or make it overly memorable. CK is the CEO of the family business. But, when her eccentric grandfather presents her a challenge that she must meet or lose her position she may have to do just that. She must marry within the month or she will no longer have a job. Th Instructing an Heiress by Judy Teel is a short story that is typical of most novellas. This is difficult for most people, but even more so for her.
Lucky for her she knows exactly who can help her with that. Ryan Anderson is always happy to help his best friend when she asks. When he came across her sitting alone and looking lost the first day of college it seemed natural to take her under his wing. Thank goodness he has never seen her as anything more than a buddy or their friendship would have been doomed from the start. When she called him and asked for his help in her company he put his plans on hold and took the position.
She needs his help to look and act like a girl and then land a husband? Nothing good can come of this. He has no idea how right he is. Giving in was his first mistake. Will falling for her be his next? That he loves the way her hips move when she walks away from him. That her stubbornness makes him crazy. The 2 main characters never feel like they have a great connection, so that was a bit tough for me. The shining light of this book is the supporting characters. I loved how the butler humored him and played right along.
I loved how they gave each other a hard time and allowed no slack, but also was there for each other. This book is worth the read for the supporting characters. You can find this review and others at http: Surely a pretty girl like her won't have any problems about that but she's different. She hides herself behind her work and hides her beauty.

This book is good for those couple of hours that you just want to be by yourself and relax with a book. You get all that scrambling around, trying to find someone, anyone, when the person they should've been with all along is just standing there, not even on the list of potentials.
In short, she's innocent in the field of romance. This was shorts but very fun and enjoyable to read. I enjoyed Ryan's friends and CK "I will dance at your wedding within the month and see the results of that sacred union within a year, or you will be cut off without a cent. I enjoyed Ryan's friends and CK's grandfather. I just wish there were more sweet moments between CK and Ryan that would show how cute their friendship was. I love the tension between them and it was fun reading Ryan trying to restrain himself from doing something he'd regret. It's sweet to see how he deeply cares for her despite his womanizing was.
A good short romance that won't bore you with drama. Dec 30, Jo Oehrlein rated it liked it. Nice sort romance featuring a high-powered man and woman, both from wealthy backgrounds. Nice to break the stereotype and not have it just be a high-powered wealthy man.
Does follow several other romance conventions she's beautiful but hides it, her grandfather is blackmailing her into getting married , but carries it off pretty well.
