People make mistakes, especially ones that aren't given much direction in their early life which was most of these heiress's problems. I thought the book was entertaining and interesting from a historical point of view not having read much of Paris during the Nazi occupation but the author has nothing but scorn for all the women he details which to me shows a lack of understanding and depth.
