I find them tolerable when they are mates. Human menages not so much.

I enjoyed the characters so much in the first couple chapters that I felt I needed to read the previous books even though two were menages. As in the fourth book, l really liked the characters this author created in this first story. I guess l was just allowing my reading prejudices to color my view and so I was deliberately not selecting even mates menages even though I had proof to the contrary that they can be indeed very good.
Anyway I'm off my soapbox: So a vampire and wolf alpha meet a half angel or nephilim.

It's not just the situation it's the author's great characterization. She takes these individuals and modes them into folks you begin to care about. You hurt when they hurt, you're happy when they are, and you cry with and for them.

This opening book sets the stage for the book series about the lives of the Wolves of Gardwich pack.
