Editorial Reviews From Booklist There are many books about scary monsters, but in this lively bilingual picture book, a toddler actually becomes the scary monster when he has a temper tantrum. Kids will recognize how he enjoys toppling skyscrapers and crashing cars on his bedroom floor and then refuses to go to bed.
He snuffles and screeches, grunts and twitches. The wild action in the bilingual words is fun English appears in black type on the top of the page; Spanish is in red type at the bottom , and so are the furious images. Then Dad scoops up the squirming monster and gently rocks him, tail and all, as Mama sings a soft lullaby.
The final pages bring a cozy ending, and there is a wry last scene as Dad remembers being a little monster himself, and he grows a tail.
A glossary of both Spanish and English words is included. Product details File Size: June 20, Sold by: Share your thoughts with other customers. Write a customer review.
