I was surprised to find that I enjoyed it very much myself and do feel it is completely appropriate for my granddaughter.
What she has a problem with particularly is social feedback and cues and I feel a story like this which shows the inner thoughts of a teenager I would be happy if she modeled herself after is will be more helpful to her than some other books which are presented for preteens and teenagers. I was so impressed with this book, that I ordered its seq uel and will order any further sequels that Mrs.
Lewis cares to write fir her loyal readers. I have not said a lot about the stories themselves and will only say that they are easy and thoroughly enjoyable while being somewhat predictable. I have read 17 books in the past 2 months and I have more to read. I never got to read and enjoy this book because when I got the pkg, it had been damaged thru the Postal Service.
Instead of the book, someone had put in about 25 pictures of a hispanic wedding in I've never seen these people, don't know who they are. The pkg was sent from Atlanta, TX. I have properly reported this mishap to the Postal Inspector and to my own P.
I book Vol 2, but you need to read Vol 1 because there are 6 books in each of these two volumes that the story keeps going. So, know I will look again on eBay to see if I can find this particular book. And a lesson I learned was that I had "no" insurance on this.
So I will be putting insurance on my items from here on out. I like Beveryly Lewis as an author and when I saw this book I figured it would be as great as her others and it is. I like to read about the Amish as others do, but also like good clean fiction novels that you don't have to be concerned about smut or bad language. It was a great book and I also looked up the second book in this series and purchased it also.
This is actually a series of short books broke up in to two volumes. This is the first one. I would suggest this book to young women and teenage girls. New with remainder mark.
