I was given a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I have read by Crystal Shaw. I thought it was a good read, but I was not completely pulled into the story. I seemed to be at the threshold there were times that I could visualize what was happening, like I was there, and other times that I couldn't , but there was something missing maybe more detail?

I know I would have liked more info on the werewolf cultur I was given a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I know I would have liked more info on the werewolf culture and world in this book, but it may come out in the next releases we seem to be given just enough and pertinent info is gradually released. Maybe it was the idea of sharing mates I do not like the whole sharing thing that kept me on the edge. Though I will say, Shaw does a great job of balancing Dom and Caleb's personalities while dealing with all that is Lizie. They were both attentive and worked in tandem to please her without losing themselves.

I do not know, but I am curious enough to continue reading the next book. The story has a plot and Shaw is taking her readers on an adventurous ride somewhere. I liked the pacing. I felt my reading speed up at times because I needed to know what would happen, while other times, I was content with the flow. I liked the way the characters were introduced and I am completely curious about Ari and Lizie's backstories.

It seems that the characters were well paired to compliment each other;even Dom, Lizie and Caleb, though the boys did some questionable things and made a few comments that had me cringing. My heart went out to Dom you will understand when you read the story. The characters were likeable, relateable and believable. The book is easy to read. I felt it was quite short just over pages , but I think the book was originally released as a serial I think that's what it's called, or novellas. The stories of the characters, are told in several different POVs. I did not find the switching povs or scenes confusing since it was done at the beginning of each chapter.

After reading a few sentences, it was simple to figure out whose voice was speaking. It would make it even easier on the readers if the chapters were labeled with who's POV was being read.

I like how a distinction was made with the font to show when the communication was mental instead of aloud. There were editing issues that my brain kept auto correcting. This did not irritate me in a way that would make me tire of reading the book, and it may not be an issue in the finalized copy. I thought the story had a nice flow, but I hate how it ended I am not a fan of the mini release episodes concept for books because I do not like to be teased, though I deal with reading a series, or trilogy these tend to have good length.

It is nice to see these novellas being combined for a longer read I think the first 3 titles have now been combined into a bundle. This is a good quick read if you like steamy paranormal romance books. Give this book a try, especially on a relaxing day. I do not think you will be disappointed. There is lots of adult language, explicit sex, menage a trois, some references to abuse and neglect.

This is definitely for those who are 18 and older and some content may still cause you to squirm and blush. This is a paranomal erotica read. Have to add I kinda cheated myself by going backwards with this series, I read book 4; The Alphas' Captive first, so had to double back and start at the beginning. I have to admit I'm not gonna lie I did try to shelve this but then I found myself arguing with myself yes u read that correctly You obviously don't want to put the damn book down Awhina so just keep reading the damn book". And so she did This series as a whole just made me melty I want to cuddle her!!!

I can't say why I am rooting for you Lizie! Can't wait to see what happens with Lizie within the series.

I still hold out hope that someday my Wolf I've named him Bear will come and snatch me in the dead of the night and hold me captive in his cave sighs. Weirder things have happened! I have read a lot of paranormal romance and I have to say that this one was a very hot read. I enjoyed the scenes that she wrote. I really liked the different take that she has with the humans and werewolves, vampires and other paranormal creatures.

It is refreshing to have a different take on the "relationships". This book introduces you to two human roommates, Arianna and Lizzie. They have been friends since they were about 12 years old and each have had a rough upbringing. They are attending their first "claiming" ceremony and then planning to head to a party after it was done. I won't go into detail on what the ceremony is as I don't want to give to much away. However, during the ceremony each girl is taken by the shifters.

The book is a very, very fast read and honestly I would almost have preferred these books to all be in one book instead of broken up into 4. I feel that she developed her characters well, I felt like I understood where each character was coming from with the way that they reacted and or behaved. The way that they "fell in love" though was a little to sudden for me, but that is a personal choice and honestly it wasn't a deal breaker at all for me.

I can't wait to read more about Dom, Caleb and Liz. There were spelling and grammar mistakes, but I was willing to over look them. They didn't distract me from the story. The author seems to have a nice flow going with her writing style, however like I said earlier I would have liked this to have been one book instead of 4. Ari and Lizzie have been best friends and more like sisters for a long time. Both growing up with troubled home lives and clinging to each other to over come them and live in the world together away from their pasts. But in the small town of Shadow Falls, independence isn't all it's cracked up to be. The town like many small towns is protected by a Werewolf pack. In order to keep this protection the towns people agreed long ago offer up their daughters as sacrifice to the pack.

Since the pack ha Ari and Lizzie have been best friends and more like sisters for a long time. Since the pack has never taken a woman for as long as the girls can remember their only slightly worried when they have to participate in the offering. But as luck may have it, both Lizzie and Ari are immediately chosen by the pack and whisked away. Overwhelmed and terrified do not even begin to express their feelings. However, with their lack of knowledge of werewolves they have no idea what is happening to them. While Ari seems to be able to begin to relax and grasp the situation of being chosen by the Devin the Alpha of the pack.

Lizzie's past comes back to haunt her when she see what she believes is a man of her worst dreams. Can Lizzie's two mates heal her and help her move forward? Will Ari truly understand what is happening? Only time will tell. The lust and desire jumping off the pages is amazing!

The sex scenes are steamy and leave you very hot and bothered. But I do wish there was a subhead we to address who was speaking. This book runs like a soap opera where things happen simultaneously and at times it can get confusing as to who is speaking.

I always give an honest review anyways and this book seemed really intriguing so I gave it a shot and boy was I in for a surprise. I loved this book so much, if you have read any of my previous reviews then you know that I love a strong lead female. She was everything I love in a heroine. Strong willed, loyal to Lizie, and Wow! Strong willed, loyal to Lizie, and didn't give into Devin when it really meant something to her but she didn't lose her femininity.

Devin was you average alpha werewolf. I have a tiny feminist in me that kind of wanted to punch him every time he commanded her to do something but that was just me. I loved Lizie spirit and her fight. I don't really know how I feel about Caleb and Dom yet to be honest. Another thing that surprised me was, when I read up on these books the first thing that came to mind was "wow, there is a lot going on!

I thought that with so many lead characters that it would be too much but I am very happy to find out that that is not that case. Ms Shaw is a new author to me and I am hooked. That's right, I already have two more books which I will begin reading after this review.

I want to share my find with all readers of werewolf fiction. Arianna and Lizzie are BFFs having been their only real family and relying on each other for support. Now they are all gown up and out on their own. It's party time--but first--once a year all the young women between a certain age are paraded before protector werewolves. No b I could not put it down. No big deal, a short walk and away they go to party. Not so this time. This time both girls are chosen. Each girl has her own reaction for reasons of their own.

I'm not spoiling so you'll have to read yourself. A little warning though--your gonna need a fan and cold drink cause this one is hot! I really enjoyed Ms Shaw's world of paranormals, I like the rules and the honest reactions, each young woman's real and motivated by her past. The weres are each unique, all strong but with separate personalities that are clearly described. You've got your badboy, your leader and your tortured warrior with a sordid past not of his making.

So the story is, we have a pack of wolf shifters that protect the town, in return for that protection, once a year the town willingly offer up the young women to the pack, no women have been taken for years till this year, when not one but two women are claimed. Ari and Lizie are inseparable, both suffered ab Hot Dang, have those fans ready ladies! Ari and Lizie are inseparable, both suffered abuse in their childhood giving them a bond that is unbreakable. These shifters have more Dom like personalities to them than most shifter packs I've read, giving them a slightly darker, dangerous quality that in turn brings a raw sizzling heat to the erotic sex scenes that will leave you weak at the knees.

Devin is the Alpha and the mate to Ariana. I really liked them as a couple. I also enjoyed that the majority of the story revolves around 5 key characters. The story for each character is explained in depth as the book evolves. If you like steamy reads, get your extinguisher' s ready, this is a seriously sexy read. The build up of the sex scenes manages to get a great balance of emotion and physical responses - ensuring that it enhanced the readers enjoyment linking it within the boundaries of the situations rather than merely popping a few bonks in without any relevance. I must say this book is pretty amazing. Its different from other werewolf books I have read and I really enjoyed that about this book. I was surprised that they had a offering where the wolves were able to just go into town once a year and take any girls 21 years old they want for giving protection to the town people and no one ever stopped them. Most werewolve books I normally read they accidentally run into there mates.

Although the book had the word cunt used a lot to describe Ari private area I wish clit was used more instead of cunt it would of sounded better. Book one starts with Ariana Ari and Lizie they are on their way to the offering. Every year all women between 19 and 23 have to offer themselves to the wolves that protect their town. They have not taken anyone in a few years but this year that all changes.

The Alpha Devin and two of his pack Betas Caleb and Dom,have found their mates, Ari and Lizzie Unlike some books that focus on one set of characters, Crystal Shaw has all three couples over three books. But Betas Caleb and Dom are in for a big surprise when they get Lizzie home. Now all the wolves have to do is convince their woman they are their mates.

Normally things go smoothly at the offering but boy was everyone in for a surprise.
