The definition of Greek yogurt, its history and what to look for when buying it is presented in an interesting and informative fashion.
If you are not sure whether Greek yogurt is worth incorporating into your meal regimen, the benefits presented here should be incentive enough to do so and encouragement to keep those of us eating it, carrying on. I am one of the latter and basically wanted a book that would present Sort of hard to rate a diet plan book but there are several pluses to this one. Long ago I converted to plain yogurt to which I add my own fruit and sweeteners but wanted more of the Meditteranean style side dishes and salad dressings using a yogurt base. The book contains these, as well, though here is found my only real criticism--none of the recipes have the nutritional information of calories or nutrient content.
This, however, is not a reason to pass on the book--one can always find this information on the components and jot them into the book. That is an inconvenience, however, and for the price probably should have been included.
If using the diet as a weight loss program, there is a whole section on tools including a weekly food plan, measurement charts, food intake charts, exercise tracking charts. All pretty standard with weight loss programs in book form or online. All in all, I'm happy to have it on my cookbook shelf but am not sure I would have bought it had I not received a review copy free from Goodreads.
