I re-read this book and enjoyed it even better the second time around.
First read was getting to the end. Second was shere enjoyment. I've enjoyed all of the series, but I did like this one I think the best so far.
I liked the mystery that was added to it. I have like the comical parts of all the books so far of how the men seem at a loss of how to deal with their brides. You know how it's going to end, but its the in between that's kept you glued to the pages. In the other books Tyson is so dry and stuffy. This book looked into the real Tyson. He's off to Scotland to claim his inheritance.
When Mary Rose enters the picture the story just takes off. Love the characters and that the author brings other family members from her books into this story. I believe that Tyson has become my favorite Sherbrooke brother. But, it's only by a hair.

All the Sherbrooke clan are alive, well and in rip-roaring spirits in August of Two months after Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo, Tysen.
Maggie has become my favorite female Sherbrooke. I cannot wait to read more on her. I can follow each person from one book to the next and can find that there are small hints from each character as they evolve from one book to the next.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Then again I feel the same way about a lot of her books which I have read over the years. Unfortunately, I have not read them all in any kind of order. This is one of the few authors, that I buy her books as soon as they come out. I dont have to even look at the story, they are all good.
I have to say i do love her historical books best, but the new mystries are good also. The Designs of Lord Randolph Cavanaugh.
