And it took a month to get that. It's not the money, it's the principle. Very nice infuser set from Chefast! I received the 1 Large and 1 Small Chefast tea infusers last week and I've used them a few times. Right away I was totally pleased with their performance. First, they were packaged very well and seem to be well made. There were no tea particles leaking through into my pot at all.
So far I've used large leaf teas and finer grade tea with no particles. The holes in these infusers are so tiny that I think it will be fine. You can't even feel the holes when running your fingers over them. The lids securely close with little effort. Opening is easy, and the set comes with an instruction card. Tea is good and clean tasting, no off-taste at all. The large infuser fits easily into my large teapot until I'm ready to lift it out. Sad Panda - wonderful customer service - Loving it 1 Star I bought these in April, and they seemed like a great set. Unfortunately, before I even had a chance to use the large one, the bottom fell off at the tack weld.
Hopefully the small one lasts longer, I was looking forward to using my big one tonight for soup. I will update this fully when I have a chance to finally try out this product. November 5 Stars I've used the small one a few times, for both tea and to hold loose spices in soups and such. It works great, and even finely ground spices, like cinnamon stay put and don't escape out of the top or sides. Perfect for sun tea with Tea bags. Used this a few times and it works perfectly.
I put tea bags in the infuser and it hangs from the glass pitcher handle. Probably could not fit more than 6 tea bags inside. The problem I had before I got this was that when I hung the tea bags in the pitcher they would float. This infuser weight forces the tea bags to sink into the water. Yeah - next time I can cut off the Tea bag string and labels since I don't need them with the infuser. Can be used for one cup servings or several! I threw in a picture of it next to a mason jar for size reference: I also love this strainer because its bell can hold either a small amount of tea or enough for several cups or a small pot if needed.
One word of caution: I had bought this to use with a South Indian black tea that I had purchased which proved to be too finely ground for the holes on this strainer. I find that it holds up to 3 tsp or 1 Tbsp of loose leaf tea.
Games in the sport of cricket are played over a number of hours or days, making it one of the List A matches last for six hours or more and twenty20 and ball matches Cricket therefore has special rules about intervals for lunch, tea and drinks as One hour before the scheduled end of the game, the last hour starts. The first ball of his second over, which would have been the last over before tea So England were 1/30 at tea, with a brand new batter at the crease in Ian Bell.
The two halves fit together very snugly yet it is still so easy to open which is always much appreciated. I like how the long stem makes it easy to grab and pull out of my teapot and I love the fact that its silicone so it is easy to clean. As a bonus, it comes with a little matching silicone dish. I love the little dish because it keeps my tea tray cleaner. The one downside is that it did leave some tiny bits of tea leaves behind but I would expect this with nearly any infuser. Overall, I can still say that I really enjoy using it.
Updated review This is an update to a prior review, wherein I gave one star. The one star review was because I had not received the product. It arrived and has become my favorite infuser!
I have a disposal in the sink so I don't have to worry about food or tea leaves getting clogged.. English Choose a language for shopping. Australia Harris 4, Finch 13 Finch nearly strangled! India are right back in this game now. Thanks for your company, bye!
The holes are small enough to keep most of the tea in the infuser. I say most because with loose tea there will always be some particles that that come out unless you put it in a bag. The most loveable thing about the infuser is cleanup. With wire infusers the tea always gets stuck somewhere. I've used this several times and nothing gets stuck. Simply dump the tea and run water over the infuser and its clean! The solution to the floating problem other people mentioned is simple. Be happy, you need to try these out. I am off the bland tea bag routine and have a whole new world of teas to explore.
The things that I love about these infusers are: I have not had a problem with them floating as did another user. But I do use a dense tea, Russian Caravan. The thing that has kept me from buying an infuser was that they are mostly all metal affairs that look like they came from Aunt Penelope's cupboard when she settled in the Oregon territory. Their clangy design just bothers me.
I keep one in my kitchen, one in the car, and another is on permanent loan at my favorite bookstore. Now I have to buy these as prezzies for my friends. So easy to use Love these, I got 2! Easy to load with tea leaves, wide enough for a regular spoon. Then I put on the resting cup for any additional liquids to drain out.
Would highly recommend to others. Great product, but less dense teas will put leaves into your liquid. I bought some higher quality loose leaf tea. I really wanted to get a nice steep pot but all the ones I really wanted were way too expensive. These are a very good deal for what they are. They are easy and practical and work like a charm. If your tea isn't dense then there will be some leaves that escape through the tiny holes. This isn't a problem for me I don't mind drinking it like that but I know it may be a problem for some people.
Only reason I didn't give five starts is because it kind of floats towards the top whereas I'd rather it sink to the bottom although this really isn't such a huge problem I just feel like that would be the last thing to make it perfect. The design is two semispherical sieves combined together by a lock in the middle, the lock is well designed to keep them closed tightly, and a chain with a hook is connected to the lock, thus it is easy to take the infuser out of the cup when some of users are used to do so.
On the other hand, the material used is stainless steel, making it safe and durable, therefore you can use it for a long time without spending time on maintaining it. Positive factors The infuser is a spherical filter and works very well for loose teas, this infuser gives me a very good experience of using it, and it is really relaxing to enjoy a cup of tea when I go home after finishing my classes.
Great infuser This infuser is the perfect size for loose teas because you have the flexibility of using a small amount of tea for a light cup but it is large enough if you want to add more for a heavier flavor. If you're the type that doesn't like leaf particles in your cup, the mesh screen is woven sufficiently fine that none can escape. Very easy to rinse out the brewed leaves. Is this for a smaller tea cup? I recently purchased one of these. I was surprised by the difference in size between the new one and one I've had for some years. There's not enough room in the ball for tea!
When the tea expands in the hot water, the clam shells are forces open. Makes "cowboy tea" that you need to strain through your teeth. Great, worth every penny I purchased this snap mesh tea infuser after I gained a taste for loose leaf tea everyone should experience tea this way, it is MUCH better tasting than the stuff that comes in teabags This little mesh ball is big enough to hold about a tablespoon of tea in each side good luck loading up more than one side at a time! You can leave the tea submerged as long as you wish to steep it. I will note that sometimes you have to shake the ball a little bit to get the air bubbles to wet out and leg water get to the tea, but that's a function of physics, not really a function of the design of this product.
This item claims to be made of stainless steel. Pretty good Like a few other reviewers, I wish that this had the option to "snap" open so that you didn't have to hold it open while washing, filling, etc, and so that it could dry on the open setting. Besides that, I like this! The handle is a little shorter than I had thought it would be, so the loop barely pokes up above the water line on bigger mugs.
It isn't worth returning for, but this isn't a one-tool-fits-all for your tea needs. It works well, though, and the mesh is extra fine, which I appreciate. I haven't experienced problems with rusting fingers crossed! Also, if you're used to Prime shipping, this takes forever to ship and get there, and they use DHL, which doesn't have the best updates read: Stainless steel, not completely.
I purchased one of these through Amazon. I used this item a few times a day,and it appeared very good for a week or two.
As I continued to use it, the metal edging around the stainless mesh began to turn black. The mesh is stainless, but the metal edging is not. I even checked it with a magnet. Eventually, the black discoloration began to darken the tea water as well. I am using this infuser for green tea, so the discoloration is not coming from the tea. Don't buy this item, I would recommend the "Progressive Stainless Steel Mesh Tea Ball" instead, also available at Amazon as I have been using it for a month with no discoloration.
High quality tea strainer This was a replacement for a nearly 20 year old stainless steel strainer that we've used and loved. We lost our old one, and replaced it with this. This strainer is as well built and functional as the one that gave us nearly 2 decades of service. We're looking forward to years of good quality loose leaf tea in our future. I've steeped several different types of tea from large leaf to almost powdered herbal teas, and this strainer has caught This is exactly what I've been looking for since I have a ton of loose tea and I hate the standard tea balls they let leaves loose all over the place.
I liked it so much I bought another one so I can multi-task since my family likes different teas. I purchased 2 of these and liked them so much I purchased 4 more a week I purchased 2 of these and liked them so much I purchased 4 more a week later for gifts. The second 4 were different. The stainless steel and welds are not as nice and the screen is not as fine. If you purchase a product and a week later go to your previous purchases and click on "purchase again" shouldn't you get the SAME thing?
Love this for my herb teas! I love my Norpro tea infuser. I can put dried herbs in it and steep in my tea cup. Unlike those smaller diffusers that leak all over the place or break, this is the only one I use now and I love it. Great to take on camping trips too. The previous model they made, I'd purchased last year and was much lighter weight strainer was screen material , tore quickly.
This new model is much nicer and will not tear like the older model did, as the bottom portion is no longer made of a thin screen material - like window screens. Otherwise it appears after two uses to strain tea leaves well as described. I love the sun I make my own herbal teas and needed a larger strainer. I love the sun, moon and stars pattern and decided to purchase this one. I can make larger amounts of my healing tea to use throughout the day.
I think, however that they should send this in a strong box instead of a plastic bag. The thin box the strainer comes in is too flimsy and was crushed when the plastic envelope was put in my mailbox. Cloudyfocus Improved My Marriage! Before I would chop up ginger in our food processor and put it in her green tea. I thought there must be a better way. Clearly that has been the difference between the two teams. Three runs come from Ali over as England just need one wicket to clinch the series. India should be looking to make some changes their playing XI for the last match.
The ones to face the music could be Rahul and Ashwin. He departs for 8. Now up to the tail-enders to score a few runs here. This series is all but over for India. What a disappointing display of batting it has been from the Indians. India needed Ashwin to do a Mooen yesterday Kohli, Pant and Rahane. To go with 5 wickets in the first innings. Here is another one. This is disaster for India. He is out LBW for 0.
Soon after that Shami gets a four through point. There is an appeal against Rahane. It looks out from the naked eye, but the batsman has gone for a review. That doesn't turn decision in India's favor. He is out for It's not looking bright for India at the moment. If the latter shows a bit of application, India might come close to the target. Another Stokes over comes to an end. Another four here from Pant. He hits Ali for another four. This brings up for India.
It raced away for four. An affronted Shami responds with a vicious rib-tickler that Paine does well to avoid. Bumrah was off the scale. Australia Khawaja 37, Paine 2 Vihari races through another one, just a single from it. Australia Khawaja 37, Paine 1 Khawaja, caught in two minds, is hit on the glove by another immaculate short ball from Shami.
Australia Khawaja 37, Paine 1 In case you missed it, Aaron Finch is in hospital, having X-rays on his right index finger. That said, he almost grabs a bonus wicket when Paine drags the ball just past his off stump. Another maiden from Vihari, his fourth in six overs. Australia Khawaja 37, Paine 1 That was not the smartest bit of batting from Travis Head, who was caught at third man in the first innings as well. Tim Paine, the new batsman, wears a beautiful short ball from Shami on the glove. Australia lead by in this wonderful Test match.
Travis Head walks straight into the trap. For the second time in this session, a bowling change has brought a first-ball wicket. Head slashed at a short ball from the new bowler Mohammed Shami; it flew off the top edge to third man, where Ishant Sharma took a very good catch. Australia Khawaja 37, Head 19 Vihari is milked for four singles in his fifth over. Australia Khawaja 35, Head 17 Khawaja drives Bumrah for three, helped by a misfield from Pujara, and then Head flashes loosely at a wide one.
This is a vital half hour before the close. If Australia are three down - four if you count the wounded Finch - they will be healthy favourites. Bumrah beat Khawaja outside off in his second over, while at the other end Vihari is trying to tempt Head into a loose stroke outside off stump. His figures are Australia Khawaja 30, Head 16 Bumrah, back for one last burst before the close, beats Head twice outside off stump. This man is a glorious bowler. Australia clearly a side in transition and short of a couple of top order batters, but this makes for a great spectacle.
Australia Khawaja 30, Head 16 Another terrific over from Yadav. Khawaja is beaten, thick edges for four and then skies an attempted pull that bisects the keeper Pant and the man running in from deep square leg. Australia Khawaja 25, Head 16 The offspinner Hanuma Vihari comes on for the first time in this innings. Australia Khawaja 25, Head 16 Head is beaten, driving extravagantly at a full-length tempter from Yadav, and then slashes a cut stroke just over gully for four.
This is so good. Australia Khawaja 25, Head 11 It might be time to have a look at Vihari, especially with Yadav struggling. Australia Khawaja 23, Head 11 Umesh Yadav has been the weakest of the Indian bowlers, and Head works him for a pair of twos to move into double figures. Yadav is going at almost a run a ball, which has released some of the pressure applied by the other fast bowlers. Australia lead by Australia Khawaja 23, Head 7 Head has started calmly, unlike one or two of those who came before him.
Khawaja has also quietly played an important innings, ignoring the mayhem at the other end. Australia Khawaja 21, Head 4 Travis Head gets off the mark with a boundary through extra cover, aided by a silly bit of fielding from Bumrah, who had his foot needlessly on the rope when he picked the ball up. This is marvellous stuff, a pleasure to watch. And Virat Kohli knows that, as things stand, another epic from him could put India on the brink of a first ever series win in Australia. Now that would be a legacy. Another bowling change brings a wicket!
Ishant Sharma strikes with his first ball, a lovely full-length delivery that traps Handscomb absolutely plumb in front. It was a desperate stroke from Handscomb, who groped from the crease and missed the ball by a mile. Australia Khawaja 21, Handscomb 13 Umesh Yadav replaces the excellent Mohammed Shami and beats Handscomb, who plays back when he should have been forward. Handscomb has apparently decided to get his runs quickly; he top-edges a pull that lands safely and runs away for four. Australia Khawaja 21, Handscomb 8 Khawaja is beaten by a laughably unplayable delivery from Bumrah, which seams and lifts spectacularly, before touching the next ball off the pads for four.
It was close to the diving Pant but he it would have been an outrageous catch. Handscomb, who has started aggressively, flashes Shami over the slips for four.
