It feels bad that I'm too far when you need a hug. It feels bad when you need food but I can't provide. Yet again, the poet serves at a critic of the court, suggesting a childish gullibility within it. Perhaps most significantly, her translation foregoes much of the allusions to the malevolent character of the Green Knight.
