We tried the BLT salad for the first time We will stick to our usual! We have been coming here every year, for my wife's birthday, over the last 7 years. The food is always amazing, and their wine list extensive. Not much to write about, the food was completely disappointing, especially the steak. Our server discussed perhaps too much of their personal life in an unprofessional manner. And also gave incorrect descriptions of our dessert.
The food was delicious but the overall experience suffered. Seats are hard to get in and out. Happy Wine is not great. I'd rather spend a little more for a better experience. Good for business meals. We reserved a table for dinner expecting a fine dining experience before going to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre for a concert. When we arrived, we were told to go to the roof, which is basically the bar area. It was exceptionally loud and the menu was limited as compared to the full menu available downstairs. The service was very good our server was able to access some items we had hoped for from the full menu. Likewise, the food was very good, but not worth the price.
Had we been seated in the restaurant our experience may have been better. This was a birthday lunch for a friend. All the restaurant staff were helpful and courteous and our waitress was outstanding. The only thing that was less than perfect was that no-one warned us that because of the romaine lettuce scare, the table side Caesar salad would be made with kale!
It was still beautifully prepared and the dressing was delicious, but it was so chewy! Took my mother there for lunch. The food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. The tables are too high for the chairs so cutting your steak is awkward and uncomfortable. Drink pours are chinsy, the hanging meats in the middle of the restaurant looked interesting in the photo but in person it was disgusting to look at as the outside of the glass windows formed condensation.
When I asked the waiter about Yorkshire pudding he was condescending. Disappointing to say the least. We had the ribeye and Japanese wagyu NY sirloin. Both were tender and delicious more so the wagyu. I had a good time. Seated a half hour late and that seemed to be the delay for everything that night. Otherwise, experience was fine. Once we finally got our table Scott was our server and did an excellent job and was super friendly and fun.

Our waiter was unbelievable! I swear he could sense my boyfriend putting his drink menu down while he was walking away and turned back instantly to take his order. It was incredibly impressive, not to mention the flavourful sides we had and the steak!! The steak was so tender and delicious swimming in the pat of butter they put on top that glistened like a diamond as it melted. I want to go back as soon as I can! I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. I was set up with a 2 seat table on the second floor to the back of the elevator.
It was secluded from everyone else, with the exception to the loud intoxicated women around the corner lol it was busy so I could understand the slower service but sometimes to long between drinks. I liked our waiter he was nice, but he was quiet until we had to pay. I would come back, but next time I'll need to have a better dinning experience to be spending this money.

Our waiter took our ordered but did not return with our drink ordered, he brought us our food but left before we could ask for our drinks, he overheard me asks another waiter for our drinks and yelled back over his shoulder he was getting them.
