I was really disappointed in this book in the beginning, it really was kind of your basic romance novel, man needs a wife, finds a wife, they don't love each other, but fall in love and will not tell each other.. But, the end really grabbed me and I was actually entrigued to find out what would happen next.

I love how Ellen spoke up for herself. I wish I knew what became of Nicholas Capel but good read this is my second time reading this book and I love it evermore.
