Just as Nehemiah saw the necessity of rebuilding the wall, you too will see the importance of advancing through each gate, submitting to Him and observing Holy Spirit repair aspects of you in stages. All things will work together for the good according to His purpose. The basic premise is that during the time of the Prophet Nehemiah, as he was rebuilding the gates of Jerusalem, a great level of knowledge was imparted into the scriptures that can directly apply to our Christian life today. Out of the 12 gates rebuilt, each in Jewish culture can be proposed to represent an aspect for life today.

I will expound on one as an example: The Valley Gate is found in Nehemiah 2: Another significant component of each of the gates are the people who hung them. Grace takes us through here in order to help us leave behind issues that brought us to this valley in the first place. Jesus crossed through this gate to the Hiddom Valley, which leads to the Kidron Valley and to the Kidron Brook as he was going to Gethsemeane.

He passed it in depair but was victorious in his resurrection.

All of this to say this is but a small portion of the chapter on The Valley Gate. Hunter-Urban goes into much greater depth and revelation about these things. This book is a comfort to those walking with Jesus and a companion on that walk! This is truly a unique, one of a kind book and I definitely recommend it. This book was provided to me from Destiny Image Publishers. This book is really good! I love Connie's writing style. This book is about the stages in our walk with God all the way till maturity. She uses the book of Nehemiah as a study to describe our stages of growth in the Kingdom.

She describes the different stages in life such as falling in love with our shepherd Jesus, and second stage of sharing the good news of what has transpired in our lives because of King Jesus.

He he he and going deeper in God this is really amazing. Knowing God and his amazing ways. Then her teachings on enduring the trials how God can use trials to shape us and transform us and to grow. If we hold on to him we will see him bring breakthrough. Getting our characters refined by God by knowing him more in the trials we go through. After coming from the valley the Holy Spirit fills us up and refreshes us.

Then we start feasting on the word of God. Reading the word of God which brings strength, encouragement, direction, instruction and cleansing in our lives. Being filled through the rhema word of God. Then the horse gate doing warfare.

After being equipped by God we are destined for success in everything through Jesus. Wow my favourite chapter was on worship and praising God and how that changes the atmosphere and brings miracles, healings and deliverance. The last stage God takes us to the place that he has designed for us and destined for us to be. Were we receive assignments from the lord.

Wow I loved this book.
