But the win came at a cost, with midfielder Koby Stevens taken to hospital in an ambulance for X-rays on his ribs after a second-quarter collision. Gold Coast were also forced to use their substitution at quarter-time following an injury to key forward Charlie Dixon. Playing in front of his hometown crowd, Dixon landed awkwardly on his ankle in a first term marking contest.
The setback looms as a significant one for the injury-prone Dixon and his hopes of landing a big-money contract next season. A week after they were awful against Gold Coast, the Kangaroos played much closer to their potential and beat the Cats They took 10th spot from Geelong with their record and move to within half a game of the top eight.
The game started with surely the two most experienced substitutes since the green vest was introduced four years ago. After a tight first term - the margin was never more than six points - North pulled clear in the second term. With Jarrad Waite dangerous in attack and Goldstein taking control of the ruck, they kicked seven goals to one for a point lead at the main break.
Every time Geelong pressed, North were able to respond and they led by 38 points at the last change. Coming off a demoralising point loss to St Kilda, and still coming to grips with the season-ending injury to inspirational skipper Jobe Watson, the Bombers dug deep to score a brave Daniher, lambasted of late for his struggles in front of goal, was the dominant forward on the ground.
Michael Hurley was equally important down back for Essendon, who got out to a point lead in the third quarter before seeing off a late charge by the Demons. Emma Jane is domed by her parents wishes' and seeks some filth before her life is taken over. Will she get the desires she seeks and be able to walk away untouched? Six is a gripping read that will draw you in from the first chapter, very well written and flows brilliantly throughout the whole book.
Six has one hell of a twisted storyline that you will never guess but you will try to work out the outcome until the end. Six contains a lot of dirty, filthy, kinky sexual events some that you would never imaged of!. Along side the brilliant sex is a lot of laugh out moments, shocks and an excellent storyline. James Crow's debut novel is outstanding and I will be waiting for more books from him soon. Dec 28, Damjana rated it really liked it. I even didn't have this book on TBR. I listed through GR when I saw it and I remember it from previous discussions.
I don't know if James Crow is just another pen name for Jade West or what?
Writing style seems the same I didn't expected strong and deep story; you won't find it here, because you read this kind of book JUST and ONLY because of dirthy, filthy and kinky sex. View all 4 comments.
ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review. Not telling Lovers of the dirty side, this is for you. Emma Jane is a young woman about to be married to a man she doesn't want because her family forces her to do so. By the encouragement of her aunt, she decides to get away for six days and spend her time in the company of Jonathon Gold. Gold runs a ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.
Gold runs a male escort service and he is the star of his company. Women pay him huge amounts of money for a session and he has never disappointed a client. As soon as he meets Jane, he is intrigued by her, so much so that he starts breaking all the rules for her. Call it six sense, if you like. I had a feeling client number six was going to be a game changer. I liked the premise of the book, but I do believe the story needed a little something to make it more intense. I don't mean that it needed more sensuality and grittiness; I think it needed more character development.
I wanted to see more of Emma and Jonathon, why they felt that intense connection and how they impacted each other's lives to make them fall in love. I think the introduction to Emma was a bit abrupt and from the get go I felt little conenction to her.
As the story went on, I got to know her better, but just as she started growing on me, the plot took another direction and I was uncertain again. The conclusion felt a bit rushed, but I enjoyed the twists and turns! Overall, I enjoyed it, I didn't skip, but I wanted something more to make this a 5 star read!
Jun 09, E. Summers rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: I am genuinely still obsessed with everything that is this, and James Crow has an insta-buy reader for life. If I rated books in terms of orgasms, or even in terms of number of times I had to re-charge my rabbit, this would top the lot and I read a hell of a lot of smut. I absolutely loved the complexities of the two lead characters, the innocen Title: I absolutely loved the complexities of the two lead characters, the innocent filth of Emma Jane and the dominant exterior of Jonathan, and how well they played off - and with - each other.
Jonathan in particular is fantastic as he's not the typical alpha, but rather feels like a real person. And for me, that's the main attraction of this story. The detail of the little things: The rawness of the sex. Yet, at the heart of this, buried underneath the hardcore, gritty sex, is a sweet love story that had me rooting unconditionally for the two, and a massively satisfying, funny ending that speaks to the romantic in all of us. This is as near perfection as you get. See more of our reviews at Summer's Eve Reads. Jun 22, Crystal Radaker rated it it was amazing.
Going into Six I was expecting a dirty, sexy book with a lot of kink and I was not disappointed at all! What I wasn't expecting but very pleasantly surprised by is the seamless flow of the writing and the storyline involved. I may even have shed a tear or two during this very gripping story! Emma is being forced into a marriage with a man she doesn't love by her family and feels trapped and helpless to change her circumstances.
Her Aunt knows gives her a surprise gift before her wedding and that is Jonathan, the man who can make all her dirty fantasies a reality. But he may have some secrets of his own. I loved the twists and turns of the story and scorching hot sex scenes, this is the hottest, dirtiest, sexiest book I have ever read and I read A LOT of smut! If you like kink and have an open mind then this book is for you and put it on your must read list!
I loved it and can't wait to read more from this very talented author!
Jun 15, Lynn Thinking out loud rated it it was amazing. That had to be one of the hottest books I've read all year. This book is hardcore. So if you're not into that this book is not for you but if you are you will not be disappointed. I can't wait to read his next book. I've been debating whether to give this 2 or 3 stars. I eventually settled on 2, partly because of some of the other books I've given 3 stars I didn't feel this deserved 3. There's something a little off about this book's writing, it's hard to describe.
Like the words aspect is very good but the character part is off. Like watching a good movie but having it ruined by someone badly narrating everything that happens. That is the image that comes to mind with this book. If that makes any sense. Al I've been debating whether to give this 2 or 3 stars. Also the ending is so rushed. Like the author miscalculated how many pages were left and didn't realize until there was 3 pages left and had to quickly squeeze in an ending.
I could almost hear the pace of the words speeding up like someone was fast forwarding, it felt that hurried. Jul 17, Nance rated it liked it Shelves: I was shaking my head numerous times. And, holy crap, if you like erotica in your books, than this is one for you. The kink and the sex. Wow, blushing with a bright red face Jonathon Gold sells more than sex. Mindblowing hot and heavy sexual experiences! Emma Jane is engaged to be married to a man that she despises. Emma Jane loves sex too. Her aunt talks her into a sort of last hurray of singledom. This is one book that will definitely have you either turning the pages in anticipation as to what the author will think up next or have you skimming because of the ridiculousness of it all.
Whichever you decide, the author has definitely gotten your attention. There was one part of the story concerning the loss of a side character that I really did not think was necessary. Emma Jane, though, seemed to come out the victor in the conclusion. She got her cake and ate it too while sticking it to the ones that tried to take advantage of her. Crow come out with next is my highly anticipated question?? Jun 21, Laura- BookBistroBlog rated it really liked it.
WOW, What an adventure I just read! This book was super hot, filled with plenty of different adventures for your smutty self to enjoy. But with that being said, there was a good story wrapped in between all the hotness. You as an person have every right to control what happens in your life. Don't let peer pressure dictate the outcome. Emma Jane is being 'forced' to marry a man who she doesn't love? All for the sake of making your family worth more than it already is. Emma's favorite Aunt totally gets what is happening I strive to be just like Auntie!!!
Everyone wants an Aunt like this in their family!!
As far as my 3 star I may even have shed a tear or two during this very gripping story! Open Preview See a Problem? A dirty read for sure, but it's so much more!!! If anyone else noticed this or can remember any specific examples, please let me know!
Jonathan Gold is the owner of a 'resort' for people to come live out their fantasies There is nothing he hasn't seen or participated in This is a very well written, quick flowing, get your sham-wow panties ready kind of book. I really enjoyed reading this and will look forward to more from James Crow. Jun 21, booklover rated it it was amazing. I want an aunt like Emma Jane's!! A week before she's due to get married, married to a man who really, she can't stand, Emma Jane's aunt surprises her with a trip that's bound to leave a lasting impression on her.
What starts as a week of exploring her deepest, darkest fantasies with Jonathon Gold, ends up with secrets coming out, secrets which, if they were to ever surface, could spell the end of her impending wedding. For a first time author this was absolutely amazing!! Really well written and the story flowed brilliantly.
I really can't wait to read more from this author!! Aug 14, Cally rated it it was amazing. This is my first book by this author and it's not going to be the last either. If you are a reader like me and don't mind pure filth Mr Crow is right up your street. Her parents couldn't care one little bit that their daughter is unhappy and doesn't want to marry William all they care about is their own financial security once Emma os married to William. You cant help but feel for This is my first book by this author and it's not going to be the last either.
You cant help but feel for Emma as she really has no idea how she is going to get out of this marriage. William is as dull as dishwater and as for sexually he has much excitement in him as a deflated balloon. Aunt Fee has also arranged for the main man Johnathan Gold to be the one who takes Emma under his wings but will six days be enough or to much. Johnathan Gold knows that he is good at what he does and is able to treat every client the same he doesn't mix business and pleasure together. Johnathan is determined that Emma will have the best six days of her life but when Emma walks something stirs inside and this isn't good for Johnathan regardless he carries with the task in hand but when the six days comes to a end will Emma and Johnathan be able to leave each other and just see it as fun before Emma marries William or have found what that are looking for in one another.

Crow 3: Tears of Blood (A Crow Western) - Kindle edition by James W. Marvin. Download it once and read it on your Kindle device, PC, phones or tablets. Series: A Crow Western, Book 1. Crow. He was just about the meanest anti- hero the Wild West ever saw. Crow 3: Tears of Blood by James W. Marvin.
This book made me so fucking hot like no other. I was so shocked at how amazing this book was to me. I think my brain combusted to oblivion. Or is it my ovaries that combusted. I do not even know at all but just know my body was going through some crazy shit while reading this book lol. Written by James Crow who h "Six was a diamond among gems, a truth among lies. Written by James Crow who happens to be a new to me author, I was just left baffled and completely dazzled by how this book made my senses hot and heavy. It was just amazing to read. Emma Jane Winters is getting married to a man who she does not love nor tolerate at all so she fucks stable boys because her husband is shitty in the bedroom.
Her aunt devises a plan for her to go to an escort service she uses for six days and enjoy hot, filthy and dirty sex with a hot man named Jonathon Gold. She meets Jonathan Gold and she indulges in hot sex with him. Sparks fly and feelings develop between them. This book was filthy. For the New Caledonian crow, birdbrain is a misnomer: These members of the corvid family have proved their problem-solving and tool-wielding abilities again and again. The birds may have yet another impressive cognitive capacity, a new study suggests: The ability to link an event with the mechanism that caused it, even if that mechanism is hidden, is the basis of modern science—and our most basic knowledge of the world around us.
If New Caledonian crows are capable of causal reasoning as well, we can better trace and understand the evolution of this ability. First, they let eight New Caledonian crows figure out how to use a tool to remove food from a hole in a box. Then the experiment began. The crows watched as a human entered their enclosure and stood by the box. Through a gap in this bird blind , a stick emerged and poked at the hole in the box 15 times.
Finally, the stick stopped moving and the non-threatening observer left the aviary. Because the birds had to turn their heads away from the bird blind—where the probing stick had emerged—in order to nab a treat from the box, they were understandably cautious after the stick withdrew. Although they gradually went back to extracting food, they first inspected the bird blind and abandoned some preliminary probes of the food box. They recognized that the hidden human was the cause of the moving stick even though, for consistency with the single-human situation, the stick was actually under the control of an experimenter outside the enclosure.
Because the experimenter was invisible behind the bird blind, the crows did not actually see anyone moving the stick. You can see a video of the researchers explaining their experiment here: The crows may be connecting the presence of a human with the stick, but not inferring the presence of another human behind the blind. I think a better test would have been to have a human cross the enclosure to hide in the blind, and then have this person poke with the stick.
Observe the behaviour of the birds. Do they approach the box after the human crosses the enclosure?
