It also represents a fun story about typical American childhood in suburbia--applicable to most any time. Kids will enjoy it. The s are still near enough to be within living memory, but far enough that children today will be able to explore them and connect with older family members about what life was like then. Molly is my granddaughter's favorite so far 3rd AG character books we are collecting.

Quotes Bud Abbott aka Peter Patterson: The girls were sent a beautiful new rag doll called Molly from Silver Cross and she fitted straight in. No sooner was she out of her beautiful gift box then she was being introduced to the delights of eating plastic food while being taught the moves to Head Shoulders Knees and Toes. She has lovely cloth hair and a pretty bow headband.

Her dress is in a lovely sunshiney yellow with beautiful layering and broderie anglaise trims and of course in true traditional rag doll style she is wearing big white bloomers. She has pretty ribbons on her soft cord shoes and I have to mention her sweet happy face with cute button nose.

And of course, while I appreciate just how beautifully made she is and the amazing attention to detail which makes me reminisce about my own dollies when I was little, the girls just think that she is their new best friend. Which of course she is. There is no doubt that these beautifully made traditional rag dolls make fabulous gifts with truly timeless appeal. It actually warms my heart to think that something as simple as a rag doll can give my girls as much pleasure today as they once gave me thirty something years ago. She also has some friends who I am sure will be joining our ever expanding dolly collection at some point in the very near future!
