A sense of dizzy elation went through her body as she landed on the soft mattress, her limbs sprawling open in an unmistakable invitation. Jax grabbed his tie off the floor where it had landed. Callie watched as he approached the bed, his face lit up with a devilish grin and she giggled as he turned her over and used the tie to bind her arms tightly together behind her back. At the way the beginning just took off on a hot sex scene I was worried I wasn't going to like this, but I changed my mind quickly when the author filled in the story line after the main characters parted. She also left off at a good part, leaving you to wonder what the heroine did next. Now I have to get part two to find out the answer, which is the point: Well written for the most part, except for a few POV issues. Was a good quick read. Good and leaves you hanging and wanting more. She only takes 2 weekends off a year.
She gets drunk and sleeps with a guy she can't remember is name or anything else. Jax is a business man and lost interest in women after a bad divorce. The author gives the reader a little taste but its up to the reader to decide whether they want to come back for a second taste. The next day she turns out to be the businesswoman he came to Las Vegas to make a business deal with and the first episode ends with a cliffhanger; I am tired of cliffhangers and series that are put out in small chapters. Nolan sees Chloe through a window of a bakery in downtown Manhattan. At first sight, something about her calls to a piece of him he thought was lost. Without thinking, he begins watching her, and when the moment presents itself, he strikes, claiming Chloe for himself. For a man who is used to getting what he wants Nolan wont let anyone or anything stand in his way.

Holy Restraining Order, Batman, this guy was nucking futs like you would not believe. Like we are talking legit psychopath here people.
Second, the central "conflict? Seriously what a completely unbelievable hot mess of a story line. But you know what? But without any actual LAW.
And quite frankly I don't care. Cause I love this shit. View all 42 comments. Luckily for him and her , the attraction is mutual and said instant attraction turns into an instant relationship. His devotion to her is undeniable and his need to protect her is his main priority. Where I do think Nolan will split opinion is the manner in which he spoke on occasion. Some of the things that that came out of his mouth, gave me no choice but to be put out by it.
Although lacking in other areas, Chloe is an adult and has a mind of her own and should be treated as such. I did enjoy the steamy scenes until his mouth got the better of him in the last couple. If you are a Aurora fan you'll eat it up. If not, just beware some dickish behaviour lies ahead. ARC kindly Provided in exchange for an honest review. View all 65 comments.
Sep 28, Christy rated it really liked it. I love over the top, obsessive, protective alphas. Normally, this brash alpha and love at first sight thing does not work for me. But the way she does it just does.
This book is so different from her other series, but not in a bad way! I enjoyed the steam, the mystery, and even the 4 stars! I enjoyed the steam, the mystery, and even the over the top domineering man! When Nolan first laid his eyes on Chloe, it was over.
He knew he had met the girl for him. Call it crazy, but the second he saw her it clicked. My feelings for her go above and beyond the realm of normal and into the categories of slightly crazy, obsessed, and extreme possession She's mine and has been from the moment I first saw her.
Nolan is a successful attorney and Chloe works in a bakery. Their relationship moves fast. It works for them, they are happy together. Then someone starts messing with Chloe He just has to figure out who is after him and how to stop it Justified is a short read. View all 32 comments.
This novella brings the steam, the romance and the mystery. Okay, the mystery part was a bit predictable, in the way that I realized what was happening almost from the beginning, but the rest completely almost up for it. When Nolan met innocent Chloe he was done for good. And he was decided to do everything in her power to have her and keep her safe with him. He practically forced 3 Bossy Stars. He practically forced her to move in with him and decided they would get married and have a football team of kids.
She had absolutely no choice. All that together decided my 3 stars rating. I am normally not the biggest fan of insta-love. I love the drama and the chasing that comes with falling in love. Probably because I would never last with one in real life. But for some reason, Aurora Rose Reynolds books always join those two factors together and I always love her books. She felt a little behind on this one, but I still enjoyed it.
She found a writing formula, stood with it, and she always wins. I love the way she creates alpha males, extremely bossy, that fall hard and fast and do everything for the heroine. So if you want a steamy book, with an alpha hero and with a romantic background, read this book. Or better yet, read all her books. Believe me, her other books are amazing! View all 11 comments. I can't take this "hero" anymore. And don't even get me started on the heroine. Unless you would like me to bend you over and spank you in front of all of these people for acting like a brat, I suggest you behave.
She struggles against my hold. My arms wrap around her, turning so that my body is blocking her from the rest of the room as I slap her ass hard enough to get her attention. Her body stills and her mouth opens in a gasp. And with that, my friends View all 34 comments. Jun 17, Maria My God the things that were happening had me trying to blink slowly in case I missed something because let me tell you every damn second something was happening Nolan had money coming out of his ass Lucky Bastard , he was crazy obsessed and possessive of Chloe in a way that I was surprised he let her breath without his permission I liked this book but Nolan was suffocating with the things he did, I mean don't get me wrong I love possessive alpha males as much as the girl next door, but come on he was ordering her around for everything.
I would like for Chloe to have some sass, I think that would make the book even better, you know when she sass and he has to spank her to put some sense on her Yeah that's what I'm talking about But unfortunately what we got was another story Equally good but NOT great! Their sex scenes were hot too! View all 17 comments.
This was my first experience of Aurora Rose Reynolds and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I really wanted this book to be brilliant I mean I love a fictional alpha as much as the next woman but from the moment I got inside Nolan the asshole's head, it all kind of went south. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't just because o Review: Don't get me wrong, it wasn't just because of him that this story just didn't work for me but he was definitely a contributing factor.
Unfortunately Nolan's behaviour got progressively worse the further I got into "Justified. I prayed I would see a shift in his character or even a reason for his twat like behaviour, but no, Nolan did not redeem himself in any way, shape or form. The way he acted was crazy possessive and freakish and if Chloe was a friend of mine, I'd tell her to run a mile.
OMG that girl was a bloody doormat. The way Nolan ordered her around, made decisions for her and basically treated her like a five year old made my blood boil.

Yes, the third season, which follows Raylan's showdown with the newly introduced Robert Quarles, a mysterious villain who hides a gun in his sleeve and harbors a back story that is tragic yet subtle, being conveyed in small spurts, is technically the second worst season, but it's truly an excellent season. Trivia About Justified Alfha
What made it worse was the fact the she just kept on taking it like it was the most normal thing in the world I wanted to see the romance between the couple blossom but I didn't get it. I wanted to get to know the characters as individuals, get to know a little bit about their past maybe Chloe and Nolan got together within a couple of pages The twists that were thrown in I was eye rolling at how certain elements of this story unraveled.
There was way too much packed in to so few pages and unfortunately I just didn't connect with any of it. I wanted this story to work I mean I read the whole book from start to finish but no I'm sorry to say, this one was not for me. View all 9 comments. What the ever loving fcuk did I just read? I mean, I love the author, but, really. The story was bordering of being absurd. View all 12 comments.
I think she does it much better. I read this over a week ago while on holiday, so this shall be short, but in reading it it felt like I was almost reading the first draft or even the summary of the story. It jumped around a bit, sometimes stuff is mentioned that as a reader we have no clue about. The entire Maxine situation was odd and felt forced, and mentioned at some point the hero's relationship with her father, and I searched and searched through the book, wondering what the hell that was, since nothing had been mentioned AT ALL before, and nothing.
NO character development, flimsy rushed plot, too many times, things were mentioned that felt like I should have had prior knowledge of, yet had no clue. The hero felt a bit dumb, despite the heroine being in "danger" and him half recognising a woman, or a smell, he constantly just shrugs his shoulder and gets back to slobbering over the heroine. So, basically, read this, but then go and listen to Tim Minchin's Inflatable You, since the heroine could have been a blow up doll for all she had an opinion or personality. And can someone explain the "alfha" thing to me, that just annoys me.
And ok, it turned out to not be that short of a review! View all 4 comments. Dec 06, Michelle rated it really liked it Shelves: Yes, I will say it again HOT!!
Aurora Rose Reynolds, Justified was deliciously sexy and steamy!! How could I not I love this book? I was already hooked from the opening line from this story because Ms. Reynolds literally started this book with a bang. And HOT Scorching sex It had a story line that focused on a very Alpha Lawyer who is very protective of his girlfriend and there are justifications for his worry when someone tries to harm his girlfriend. So you know what that means? Why yes, hot overprotective alpha hero, who will stop at nothing to ensure the safety of his love.
Wait just a minute I kept rolling my eyes
