Jan 05, Cathy rated it it was amazing Shelves: I love these books. I started them because I was tired of reading "adult" books. I wanted simple books without all that sex and garbage.
Andrea Pearson really delivers a great story that is simple and yet it holds my interest. I had to read these straight through. I couldn't put them down. I read straight through the night because I wanted to know what was going to happen next.
You just never know what is going to happen next to Jacob and Nicole. Will they get through the next day at school or t I love these books. Will they get through the next day at school or the next problem? Will Jacob learn what he must learn to survive? Will Nicole be able to do what she must? I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
Jul 22, Jennifer Lynn rated it really liked it Shelves: I enjoyed reading this trilogy and feel that the story was pretty well developed considered the books are geared toward middle schoolers. Every character was thought out and explained while the story was painted vividly and very expressive. There is plenty of potential for spin offs but I think that other stories by this author will probably have a lot of promise.
Jan 18, Charlene Pratt rated it it was amazing. This story grabs your imagination and doesn't let go. It's very cool to be able to start reading an entire three books altogether.
Fabulous monsters, brave characters and a child becoming a man and a hero. Besides which I will never look at a turkey the same way again.
Dec 07, Diane Freeze O'Bryan rated it it was amazing. Awesome series Awesome series!!! I can't wait to get the next books to finish this journey!

Andrea Pearson is an avid reader and outdoor enthusiast who plays several instruments, not including the banjo, and loves putting together musical arrangements. Her favorite sports are basketball and football, though several knee surgeries and incurably awful coordination prevent her from playing them.
Andrea graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor of science degree in Communications Disorders. She was executive director for Indie Author Hub for a year and a half, and she is frequently invited to teach about successful indie publishing in podcast interviews and at conferences and conventions. Andrea is always in the mood for a good movie with close friends and family with a large glass of milk and a bowl of overly buttered popcorn nearby. Writing is the chocolate of her life - it is, in fact, the only thing she ever craves.
Being with her family and close friends is where she's happiest, and she loves thunderstorms, the ocean, hiking, public speaking, painting, traveling, and squeezing every bit of oxygen out of Ziploc bags. She and her husband live in a beautiful little valley surrounded by hills.
