Please try again later. I haven't the slightest clue as to what they are about, but he sure does and he loves them. Often times, he can put the books down I am slowly buying him the monster collection of Naruto books that he has wanted. One person found this helpful. We get to learn about Sasuke's past, why he's so angry at the world, and why he hates his older brother. Then we get to see Jiraiya start to train Naruto in the art of the Rasengan, illustrating the value of patience, diligence, and ingenuity.

Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. They finally get back into developing more powers for Naruto.

But the part I really enjoyed in this book was the second half, more focused on a training aspect. I really like how Kishimoto writes training sequences and exercises, they are always unique. And I am growing to love Jiraiya.

And Tsunade seems really cool too, her personality reminds me of a few friends of mine.. Out I don't have much to say about the first half of this volume. Outrageously outgoing and risk-taking. While trying to figure out the reason Sasuke's older brother is looking for him, Naruto continues his training with Jiraiya to finds his limits and push right through them to a new level of strength! Kishimoto steadily raises the suspense with this enjoyable entry.

Hearing the return of his elder brother, Sasuke rushes to seek out his prey. Itachi being one of my most memorable and favourite characters in mangas altogether is a joy to read.

Dec 14, Kassilem rated it really liked it Shelves: Here's some more training. I think I like the training so much because it shows that Naruto isn't just a child prodigy. While it's true that he has huge amounts of power that he doesn't tap very much, he does have to work hard to learn skills.

Clearly a transitional volume as we move from the aftermath of Orochimaru's attack to Niraiya's search for the third of the legendary shinobi, Tsunabe, with Naruto in tow. I loved this book Manga because it is faced paced awesome dialogue and a good story with an exquisite background. May 12, Marie rated it really liked it. As Naruto yelled at him he earned the anger of Gantetsu. Jiraiya dealt with Gantetsu, at the same time demonstrating the Rasengan.

To start Naruto on his way of learning the Rasengan, Jiraiya instructed him to pop a water balloon by spinning his chakra. A few days after beginning his Rasengan training, Naruto reflects on his lack of progress in popping the water balloon. Jiraiya reluctantly gave him some tips on how to spin his chakra , after which Naruto proclaimed that he would finish this first step and master the Rasengan in three days. Jiraiya informed him that the Fourth Hokage , the Rasengan's creator, created the Rasengan after three years' hard work. While thinking, Naruto sees a cat playing with the water balloon.

When the cat pops the balloon after batting it around, Naruto gets an idea and finally manages to break the balloon himself. By spinning chakra with both of his hands and forcing the energy into the water balloon from opposing directions, Naruto is able to pop it. Though unorthodox, Jiraiya is impressed and tells him about the second step to learning the Rasengan.

The second step is very similar to the first; Naruto must pop a rubber ball. Since the ball is much sturdier than the balloon, he will need to improve the Rasengan's strength. Naruto once again struggles with the step as he cannot burst the ball, only managing to create a hole in it.

Content with this development, Jiraiya draws a mark on the palm of his hand to help. The mark on Naruto 's hand is meant to give him a focal point for his chakra output, concentrating the Rasengan 's strength on one specific point rather than dissipating it over a larger area. This does little to help him. Meanwhile, Orochimaru is in agony from the seal placed on him by the Third Hokage. With Kabuto unable to do anything for him, they decide to go looking for Tsunade. Kabuto tells him that she is in Tanzaku Quarters , which Jiraiya also finds out in the course of his own investigation.
