Fabulous writing Why have I never read anything by this author before?? A sexy as sin hero that was truly a great guy. A feisty strong heroine. All topped off with a delightfully sweet cherry on top.

It's been too long to write another but I love both MCs especially the H. I loved how he would let nothing get in the way of him loving the h including her. View all 10 comments. I read that this was once a novella, but the writer added more to make it a novel. She notices the couple next to her are having a fight This was only the third time they went out and she was gone before the date was half over. She was evil and causes the heroine some problems but it doesn't last too long. The hero did a great job of telling her off He only took her out to appease his step-dad who was all about himself and furthering his political career There was nothing about the woman he cared for. During the half time Riley and Cam realize they are on the Kiss Cam And boy did they. They could barely tear themselves apart.

I was waiting for steam to start coming out their ears it was so hot. They didn't realize a kiss could be so good. The hero absolutely wants to see her again but she wouldn't give him her number. She has some issues she needs to work through because she was bullied and mistreated a lot as a teen, a poor maid's daughter in a very high class school and it was quite sad. As soon as she graduated high school she moved away. She has never gotten past it and never gone back, not even to visit her mother. It the place where she was tortured and humiliated She is quite certain she is not good enough for this man she met.

For four years she was made to feel like trash. He finally finds her and they are stuck like glue.

The two finally do get together and they are stuck like glue. They fall so deeply in love that it warmed my heart and made me a bit jealous.

I want a guy like Camden. I'm a little torn on the rating of this book. I loved the story-line The hero is fantastic and the heroine was great. The love story was out of this world. So what is my problem. The story moved slowly in places with more detail than we needed.

Hard Rock Kiss

I loved it but there was too much filler. It could have been shortened. When it dragged it became frustrating and it would cause me to lose focus and the story was so great you certainly didn't want it to lag. I do recommend it just be aware it moves slowly. I am getting ready to purchase the second book in this four-book series. Kiss Cam is sweet, simple, drama-less, corny at times, sexy and hot.

I honestly didn't know what to expect when I went in; from what I've heard about rock star books in general, I guess I thought it would be a lot of rock shows and sex?

But the characters had so much depth, and there was so much emotion. I was rooting for Nathan and Becca individually and as a couple. That's how much Hard Rock Kiss impacted me. A story that drags your emotions from laughter to sadness, from sympathy to relief- just a constant page turning story filled with a rollercoaster of emotions.

This story follows Nathan, the rock star god guitarist of Cherry lips and Becca, a hospital volunteer and pet shop employee. They meet when she catches him sneaking around the hospital trying to find an exit to avoid running into fans. Not knowing initially who he is Through the ringer and back. Not knowing initially who he is or why he's there, she ends up helping him make his getaway safely. He rewards her with tickets to a Cherry Lips concert. The two of them click, and Nathan decides to help Becca fulfill all her childhood dreams her bucket list.

We get some hysterical cameos by beloved Darkest Day characters, wild chandelier swinging, carnivals, drinking games, hot sex, and of course - zorbing ha ha.. As the story develops, we get sucked into some seriously deep issues that both characters have to deal with but are hiding from each other in a desperate attempt to keep their relationship "normal".

We see them both go through some hard moments before they are finally forced to admit that they are stronger together than they are apart. While this book tackles some serious issues, Athena Wright has such a talent with words-she keep things upbeat and teases you with glimpses of possible HEA's. You really get invested in Becca and Nathan's journey. Another successful book 2 in the Hard Rock, Cherry Lips series! This was one of my favorite ARC books to read and honestly review. Becca is a volunteer at a hospital his mom is secretively in at this time. She also works part time at a pet store and had lead a very sheltered life but is ready to start living her life to the fullest never knowing what is down the road for her. After accosting Nathan at the hospital thinking he was up to no good and not knowing who he was her life is set to take a drastic turn. Both have thi Life Changing Surprises!! Both have things they are hiding but they definitely have chemistry and Nathan takes it upon himself to help Becca discover everything that she has missed in her life.

These two have something in common when it comes to the hospital at where Becca volunteers and it will affect each of their lives in possible life changing ways. It was so much better. He just seemed like a really nice guy. It shows through more and more as the story develops. From this night the story really kicks into high gear. It takes you on a sweet sometimes rocky journey. Just like it is in real life. Both are starting to depend on each other more than they originally planned. We get to become reunited with others from the Hard Rock series. But it was fun getting to be treated to them again.

This is a book that brings all the feels and a little bit more. You should really buy the book or read the blurb. This was a really fast read. I read it in one sitting. Even though he was a rock star he had this sweetness about him that I just loved. I think he might be my new book boyfriend. I loved how Nathan and Becca first meet.

I thought that there was a connection between them from that meeting. I found their story to be very deep, sweet, romantic and even emotional.

Best summer books 2018, as picked by writers and cultural figures – part two

I loved this book. To see how the relationship developed between them was amazing. I really loved them as a couple and as friends. This book too I fell in love with this book and with Nathan. This book took me on a journey that I never wanted to end. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Sep 11, Leslye Love rated it it was amazing. They are romance, but they also have other important topics woven into the story. This one is no different.

Nathen is hiding from his fans in the hospital after visiting his mom. Becca spends a lot of time volunteering at the hospital working with kids and those who need visitors. Nathan is a hunky, rock star who Becca find herself falling for. As always with Ms. Wright, this is well-written, interesting, and a great read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Becca has lived her life very sheltered, health problems that kept in and out of hospital all reasons for her parents to be over protective, they've almost lost her before they don't want anything to happen to her. She tried to make herself content with her life, working in a pet shop and volunteering at the hospital living in her parents basement but when she meets Nathan slinking around the hospital corridors.

Nathan is use to being recognized for his celebrity, he's shocked when Becca doesn't Becca has lived her life very sheltered, health problems that kept in and out of hospital all reasons for her parents to be over protective, they've almost lost her before they don't want anything to happen to her. Nathan gives Becca plenty of new experiences, both are having a time of their lives but both are hiding things.

Nathan cared for him mother through her bouts of cancer, is he prepared to take care of his mother and Becca? Becca has seen the tole her health has done to her parents life does she want to expose that too Nathan, he's already worried about his mom but her too, and he's in a band they go touring, lots of pulls. I always love a rockstar romance and this author has written some of my favorites. Hard Rock Kiss is a really well done novel that sucks you in right from the beginning. Athena Wright always does a great job developing characters that are relatable. She incorporates deep topics into each of her novels and it is evident that she does her research. This is something that makes her books not a typical rockstar romance.

Yes, Nathan is the stereotypical famous, womanizing, arrogant rockstar who falls I always love a rockstar romance and this author has written some of my favorites. Yes, Nathan is the stereotypical famous, womanizing, arrogant rockstar who falls for a regular girl, but he also has great depth to him. He is dedicated and very caring towards those he loves. Becca is a strong, unique character.

This secret has affected and still affects her whole family and she worries that it will be too much for Nathan. The book moves at a good place and Becca and Nathan have great chemistry together. I also enjoyed seeing some of the characters from the pervious Cherry Lips books and from her Darkest Days series. I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review.

Nathan may be a rock star, but that's just secondary to this story. And what a story it is! Nathan and Becca meeting is completely different. So is everything else. I was impressed that Becca was brave enough to open up and to be honest about herself. Nathan takes a bit longer to share it all. I liked how loving and gentle he was with Becca. He has a few immature moments but takes steps to fix things and sincerely apologizes.

With boy next door good looks and a care-giving personality he had me swooning! This book Book two in the Cherry Lips series. This book is not insta-love but about two people who spend time together and their relationship takes its time and builds.
