Each poem captivates you with a deep emotional connection. Many of these writings have been in the hearts and minds of adolescents everywhere.
The author takes these and expresses her thoughts and emotions about life,relationships,love,spirituality and other experiences. I was captivated from the first page and read it all in one sitting. I was so intrigued by the flow of words in each poem that I couldn't bear to put it down until I had devoured all the words in the book. Young people can appreciate this work because it connects with them here and now. Adults can connect with it while remembering that time they experienced similar situations as a adolescent.
I loved the sections that dealing with spiritual and romantic musings. Absolutely captivating and a must read. I was given this book in return for an honest review. This book has several sub sections. Silly musings, Spiritual Musings, romantic musings, Western musings, miscellaneous musings. This is a compilation of poems, odes and short stories from when the author was a teenager. I wish more people would keep these treasures from their childhood. It is a peek into the authors life and beliefs at a young age. If friends of your teens are performing, they may like to see and hear the concert band, jazz band, orchestra, chorus, or choral groups.
In addition, look for times when professional groups perform at low-cost venues, such as college campuses, street festivals, and community events. Go to a ballgame, track or swim meet, or other sporting event at the local high school or college. Most are priced reasonably, and some are free.
