I like westerns and especially those from Zane Grey's era. I like most of the popular writers and Grey is among them. Riders of the Purple Sage is one everyone should read if he wants to get to know Zane Grey.
Grey's style is somewhat slow moving and delves more into personal relationships than some of the others that move faster, but he is a master story teller and a describer of nature and beauty. One person found this helpful. This is the whole set! Zane Grey never disapoins.
This is a very good selection of stories. I recommend that if you like his stories, you will enjoy these. I'm sorry it's over. It takes you on a amazing journey and ties everything together at the end. I will always be looking for another Zane Grey book to read! I love cowboy stories, and only Zane Grey writes the classic stories! Nothing like being able to be lost in a Zane Grey anthology!!
