The Trouble With French Kisses: The Trouble Series: #1

French Kiss

Well, Anna and the French Kiss is richer, sweeter, and—yes—even hotter. Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris — until she meets Etienne St. As winter melts into spring, will a year of romantic near — misses end with the French kiss Anna — and readers — have long awaited? She has always worked with books—first as a bookseller, then as a librarian, and now as a novelist.

About Anna and the French Kiss Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. This couple is everything. On many occasions, they prematurely ring the death chimes of their relationship, only to stay together depite their copious amount of differences.

In age, political outlook, handling of troubles, class, status, sexual history However, their chemistry keeps me swinging my Pro-StephDom lol pom-poms. Their trysts are clandestine and sexy, sexy, sexy. I've realized that storylines where a normally toppy person consents to bottom are a pleasure.

These two bring out interesting qualities in the other. We exist, you know! Some ladies need to be warmed up to the idea or they may not even prefer a cock at all. Food for thought, other writers. Build up to it. At times, Steph would make The L Word Shane-type comments about needing the long-term couple Juliette and Nadia a la Bette and Tina to stay together to believe in humanity.

For those moments, while they make sense, I breeze over because I don't want a show I loved to interfere with the narrative. Yes, they're my favorites. They've been partners for a decade and long-bulding tension view spoiler [ along with some cheating hide spoiler ] almost destroyed them. I must admit that for the first couple of chapters, their struggles just stressed me out. Then, I found myself rooting for them. Now, I enjoy their chapters thoroughly and Harper Bliss takes the cake for really detailing the fall and rise of their love. Well-crafted, albeit frustrating, which was appropriate.

Also, Nadia sounds uber hot. After Dominique, she's my crush in this story. Here comes the tolerable. Even her maybe-maybe not with Inez had me hoping she'd give in. And don't get me started on Margot bringing in ex drama, one of my least favorite forms of drama. Thanks a lot, Go-Go. Claire, who's actually interesting, would've been cuter with that online date chick Sarah; I really liked her. She probably would have tied Claire up, too.

French Kissing: Season One

There's my word vomit. This series is lit. It's what the kids are saying nowadays. View all 7 comments. Mar 26, Corporate Slave rated it it was amazing. Incredible is an understatement! View all 3 comments. I read this series in its 6 installments and still plan on owning the whole boxed set series. I love everything that Harper writes for some very specific reasons: Harper makes her romance real; painful, all consuming, difficult, and not always are the best intentions realized. Character Developme I read this series in its 6 installments and still plan on owning the whole boxed set series.

I never feel like the characters I'm reading about on the last pages are the same ones I started the journey with. This is absolutely a great thing! I don't want characters to be dead in the water. I need them to be filled with confusion, happiness, frustrations, and realizations. Not cliched and pigeon-holed. Again, thank you Harper for putting realistic relationships and hardships into your stories.

It was riveting and I'm not sure if the author meant it to be this way but it felt like I was ra reading a soap opera which was fun. Ms Bliss is a goddess of erotica. The story developed at a great pace and the characters are so connectible. Every episode has twists and turns, and leaves you loving a different character. Every time I finished a part I had a new favourite and quite a few times I did want to curse the author because I had to wait to see what happened next. You guys are lucky because it's all out. Even if lesbian loving is not your thing I sug Well what can a say, this was an addictive, steamy entertaining read.

Even if lesbian loving is not your thing I suggest you read this simply for the story. It's a mix between sex in the city and the L word. Mar 19, Weetniet7 added it. Enough wetness to fill an ocean, enough booze to sink Paris and more drama than the L word. Bring on the next one. I couldn't put it down! A fantastic story with strong but complex friendships.

Can they set their differences aside so they can work together? This series must be read in order. Much of what I read is totally brain candy, and this is no exception In book 1, Luc goes on a fake date with Madison with the promise of money. During a crisis, will Sean reach Victoria in time to save her life? Thanks for telling us about the problem.

Based in the city of love, Paris. A story with characters that are very passionate, relatable and interesting. I enjoyed reading about how these friend's lives unfold. It's about falling in love, compassion, betrayal and forgiveness or not. The right mix of love and hot sex. I cannot wait to read the next installment and I would definitely recommend it. Mar 05, Bree Paige rated it really liked it Shelves: This book is so frustrating.. It was strated with problems the story flows with lots of problems and then ends with problem..

But I love it except of Margot's story line. But I love Steph so much.. The Love scene are not much or not less so it was even too. All in all it was a good read.. Apr 07, Janet rated it it was amazing. Wow interesting, love all the characters. It's more than good It's excellent. High drama, complicated partnerships and Paris in the summer. What more could you want to lighten the darkness of winter.

Harper has exceeded herself and i'm really looking forward to season two. Read and you'll be hooked in no time. Great read with passion as a side dish. I'm not sure if it was the description of Luc's predicament or the emphasis on his relationship with Ben that didn't flow quite right.

However, this does not detract from the story. I will tell you, once I got past the very beginning, the book picks up its pace and took me away. I simply can not wait to read the rest of French Kiss for Hire. It's just that good. Pick up your copy today, you might just find yourself wanting a French Kiss too. Feb 12, Rae Sontheyon rated it it was amazing.

Kissing Friend and Therapist. Perfect for this Valentine's Day Weekend and for those who love romance. The male lead was not at all what I was expecting and turned me to mush, which I promise is something that doesn't happen easily. These six authors have a sweet romance story on their hands and I can't wait to read more!

Aspiring actor and recent college graduate, Luc Du'mont, is struggling to meet ends meet. Luc has only a couple of months to secure a job before his visa expires and he is Kissing Friend and Therapist. Luc has only a couple of months to secure a job before his visa expires and he is sent back home to France. Deep in his heart Luc knows acting is what he is meant to do, but he just hasn't gotten his role yet. Lucky for Luc his best friend and roommate, Ben Dawson, is there for him and doesn't mind shouldering the finances here and there because he believes that Luc will catch his big break.

Luc knows he is blessed to have a great friend in Ben especially since he would take to his home in the country and include him in the Dawson family. So when Ben's younger sister Serena stops by and Luc tries to keep his friendly distance, things seem to go wrong when she asks for help in learning how to kiss. What's a gentleman Frenchman to do deny help or indulge in the one thing he's wanted more than anything? Overall, absolutely loved it! I'll admit I had begun reading this book thinking it's plot was going to one way and thankfully I was wrong.

When the male lead is French you tend think he might be kinda sleazy, but Luc is the total opposite he is a gentleman and uber sweet! Luc is basically a kissing therapist but not in a lewd way. You want him to have his HEA and I can't wait to read more about him and his journey. So if you are looking for a short romantic read that you'll want more of than this will sate you for now but you'll want to read the rest of the French For Hire episodes. Feb 09, S. Benson rated it it was amazing. The novella is a fast read, culminating in a cliff-hanger.

Hidden Meaning Of The French Kiss And Other Types Of Kisses

Most books I read are from a female point of view. She can tell him anything. And, apparently, you can ask him to do anything. The majority of this tale is devoted to Luc, a struggling actor, and his emotions. Can you blame him? He chose to live in Chicago and pursue his dream. Most actors, seeking the fame he desires, would have moved to Los Angeles or New York. I liked his roommate, Ben. He was the good, supportive friend everyone needs. When you live thousands of miles away from home, across an ocean, you need a strong friend.

Ben is the brains of the operation and the source of income for the two guys. The writing was well-done and the characters well-developed. I appreciated the story line and how well it flowed. This serial comes with a unique twist. Readers have to guess which author wrote which episode. French Kiss for Hire is a first read, for me, of any of these authors. Feb 10, Michelle rated it liked it. One that I have never seen before, and seems like a very cool idea.

Each installment, or serial for this series is written by a different author. But when you put all of the serial installments together it forms a complete story. I have only read the first episode, and they are not divulging yet which author wrote it, so it will be interesting to see if there are big writing style differences between the episodes. I can't wait to see what the finished product will look like. I am really not sure who the first episode was written by but it was a cute start to a promising series.

I really liked how adorably head over heels Luc is for Serena. The jury is still out on her, by the way. I actually like the girl that finds Luc through Serena more than Serena herself. But what I like most is that he seems to be the main character of the series. I hope the focus stays on him. Though the characters are new adult aged, the writing and depth of story so far seems to be on the younger end of the new adult spectrum. That could entirely be because we are just getting started. Episode one could be gearing up a whole number of new things and directions for the characters and plot, and I can't wait to see what is going to happen next.

French Kiss for Hire is a quick, fun read that has a lot of promise. And I love the idea that different authors will be writing each serial.
